"No, I admire people who dare to try things once they gain power. After all, if you don't try, theory will always remain just theory. Even if you face inevitable failure, success is accumulated through repeated failures."

Bai Chen released Mei's Herrscher core, pulled his hand out of her chest cavity, and used Honkai energy to wipe away all the remaining bloodstains on his hand.

"From now on, as long as you feel you are capable enough, you are welcome to challenge me anytime, anywhere. Of course, the next challenge won't be as simple as the current beginner level; you should be prepared to stay in bed for at least a month."

Electric light converged on Mei's chest, and the bio-current stimulated the contraction and peristalsis of the wound, resealing the ruptured blood vessels. After becoming a Herrscher again, her physical attributes were also amazingly enhanced, and both her vitality and recovery ability were fundamentally different from before.

Mei's injuries quickly healed to the point where they did not affect her movement, and the Herrscher of Thunder consciousness within her body had fallen asleep again. According to Mei's senses, this time she would probably never wake up again.

"Do you still want to fight me?" Bai Chen asked with a smile as he looked at Mei walking towards him.

Mei immediately shook her head: "Let's forget about it. Although Dr. Tesla had already made a guess, as expected, the gap between our understanding of the Herrscher powers is too big."

"That's what I wanted to say too. Since we lost, there should be a punishment for the losers. The club I'm building doesn't need a giant Pikachu that can only generate electricity. It needs a powerful Herrscher who can pose a threat to the entire Earth. Even if it doesn't destroy a planet, it shouldn't be a problem to destroy one or two continents!"

"So come to me tomorrow morning to pick up some study materials. I'll plan a rigorous course for you, guiding you on how to develop your knowledge of electromagnetic forces. If there's anything you don't understand, ask Tesla or Einstein. I'm sure they can give you a good explanation." Bai Chen glared at Mei with a look of disappointment.

Apart from Bronya, who obtained the Herrscher of Reason core and learned some development knowledge under the guidance of her senior Welt Yang, the other Herrschers who obtained the Herrscher core seemed to decide on the usage method on a whim.

Mei is even more outrageous. She monopolized the most resources of World Serpent. She stayed in such a vast paradise of the past for so long and learned nothing. Not to mention that she even brought the Herrscher of Corruption, causing chaos in World Serpent's most important assets.

If you can't build a positron cannon or a neutron jet powerful enough to destroy any living organism, at least learn how to rotate a magnetic field. Don't become a giant electric rat that discharges electricity!

Raiden Mei could only nod repeatedly. Although she didn't know what kind of courses Bai Chen would arrange for her, as one of the top students in the school, Mei was very confident and experienced in her studies.

The hotel rooms that had been sealed off in the distance had also been unsealed. Seele and Bronya, who had broken the windows, came to the rooftop, while Kiana, who had regained her Herrscher powers, traversed between two spaces and stood next to Mei.

Only Fischl and Oz combined into a giant raven wreathed in lightning, circled the rooftop a few times, and ultimately, unable to understand the complex situation of the people below, they chose to quietly land in a corner to spy on what was happening outside.

Kiana and Mei gazed at each other in silence, their eyes filled with deep affection. Bronya and Seele seemed restless, wanting to escape with the two of them, while Bai Chen, who was about to say something, discovered that a new uninvited guest had intruded into his Imaginary Domain.

Such a big change in a corner of the city finally attracted Theresa and Cecilia.

The night is gradually getting lively.

Chapter Forty-Nine: Mom, Mom!

The situation has become somewhat complicated.

Bai Chen hadn't expected that Raiden Mei would be manipulated by the Herrscher of Thunder to challenge him so quickly. He had originally thought that everyone would gather at least by tomorrow night.

He even devised a plan for Kiana to unleash her Honkai energy in the city to attract other contestants.

However, things didn't go as planned. Raiden Mei's sudden outburst drew all the attention of the city.

Kiana was unaware that her adoptive mother Cecilia and her aunt were on their way, and was still in the awkwardness of reuniting with Mei after so long: "Mei, are you alright?"

The words were a bit stiff. Mei was covered in blood and didn't look like she was alright at all. Kiana just couldn't think of a better way to start a conversation.

Although we've known each other for several years, the events that happened during those one or two months, which felt like an eternity, were enough to change so many people.

Mei, unlike Kiana, didn't feel awkward. She hadn't been brainwashed by Kevin, accepted the World Serpent's ideology, or decided to fall into darkness. Instead of beating Kiana up, Mei walked towards her, wanting to give her a long-awaited hug.

"Kiana, long time no see, how have you been?" She reached out to Kiana, wanting to embrace her, but before her hand could touch Kiana, a forcibly appearing portal snatched Kiana away from her fingertips.

Bai Chen grabbed Kiana by the collar with one hand, holding her in mid-air like a chick, and jumped towards the top of another building.

"Now is not the time for you old friends to catch up. You can save your heartfelt words for later." Bai Chen broke the atmosphere of the long-awaited reunion and threw Kiana onto the roof of another building.

Kiana had barely steadied herself and hadn't even had a chance to express her dissatisfaction when two familiar women, each using their own unique abilities, climbed up the outer wall of the building where Mei and the others were.

One of them, a short girl with a golden cross on her back, looking like a middle school girl who hadn't yet reached adulthood, was Headmistress Theresa. Following behind her, carrying a huge white knight's lance and wearing the Valkyrie battle suit of Schicksal, was the person Kiana wanted to see even less than Mei—her theoretical mother, Cecilia.

Although Kiana inherited the name Kiana, she is actually just a clone experiment, K423, created by Otto using artificial human technology. Her original body was Cecilia's daughter Kiana, but for some reason, Siegfried Kaslana gave K423 his daughter's name, leading K423 to mistakenly believe that she was his biological daughter.

Upon reaching the rooftop, Theresa first checked Mei's injuries with concern, then shielded Mei behind her. Facing Bai Chen, she placed the Oath of Judah on the rooftop, causing the Oath of Judah to unlock the hidden golden spear within.

Cecilia first squinted, shading her eyes with her hand, and carefully examined Kiana standing next to Bai Chen for a while. After confirming that this was her daughter, she happily waved to her.

"Kiana! Kiana! Do you remember your mother? Aren't you going to say hello to your mother?" she shouted at Kiana.

Bai Chen watched this scene that he was delighted to see. He had been looking forward to Cecilia and Kiana's meeting. Although the occasion was a bit rough and lacked the romance he had imagined—a red wine restaurant with steak—he couldn't ask for more now.

However, Kiana's reaction disappointed him. Kiana looked at Cecilia opposite her, seemingly wanting to say something, but after hesitating for a while, she ultimately said nothing.

There was no response to Cecilia's call.

"Either admit you're Kiana, or admit you're K423. What are you hesitating about?" Bai Chen kicked Kiana's butt with the tip of his shoe and pushed her to the edge of the building.

"I... I haven't thought about it yet... Mom's appearance was so sudden, I don't know how to face her, and I also lost Dad, I haven't figured out how to tell Mom at all." Kiana whispered, it was unclear whether she was speaking to Bai Chen or Fu Hua in her mind.

Cecilia couldn't help but look troubled when she saw Kiana's reaction. Theresa hadn't told her about the K423 experiment yet, only that Kiana was currently under the control of the Herrscher of the Void for some reason, and that they were trying to get Kiana back.

Therefore, Cecilia cannot understand Kiana's inner turmoil.

Just then, a figure shrouded in frost and snowflakes appeared on the horizon—it was Sakura, who had been chasing Mei all the way back to Sky City. She landed beside Mei, and after confirming that Mei was unharmed, her cold eyes fixed intently on Bai Chen.

She wanted to take a good look at the most amazing Herrscher of this era, to see how he differed from the other Herrschers, and at the same time, she was also very curious about how Bai Chen reversed time and pulled her back from the past history of the Imaginary Tree.

As if a switch had been flipped, another figure appeared in the street below, following Sakura.

With the shopping bags at her feet and her sister's wheelchair in her hands, Lilia, relying on her enhanced physical abilities after becoming a Fusion Warrior, carried her sister and her wheelchair up the stairs to the top of another deserted building.

Fischl noticed Lilia and Rosalia's return, transformed into a thunder raven, and quickly landed beside them.

Just as Fischl landed, another strangely shaped bird flew over from the horizon. The bird seemed to be covered in colorful ink, and its appearance was also bizarre, as if it came from some absurd dream.

On the back of the giant bird, Raven gripped the Divine Key, the Seven Thunders of Purification, in his hand, while holding the hand of the blue-haired little girl, Gresh, in his other hand. He wore a small pair of miniature binoculars and observed the situation in the distance.

As if out of caution, the strange bird did not land on any building, but remained in flight, circling the crowd and flying in circles in mid-air.

“Okay, now we only need one last person…” Bai Chen couldn’t help but say after seeing Gresh’s painting.

As if in response to his expectations, a spacecraft rushed into the imaginary space and landed behind Bai Chen.

Sister Karen, carrying the Otto pendant, was the last to arrive at the ballroom.

Chapter Fifty: Thunderous applause is due here.

All the holders of the fake books, as well as the heroic spirits from the Honkai history summoned by the fake books, have gathered here tonight because of the commotion caused by Mei.

Just as Bai Chen had predicted, the people he invited to participate in the event spontaneously formed several camps.

First, there are the Arlene sisters, who haven't figured out what's going on yet, and Fischl, the truant girl summoned from another world. They don't know the true nature of this ball, and one of them is even labeled as a wheelchair user, so she can only watch from the sidelines.

Then there's Raven, the mercenary who's theoretically on their side, and Gretchen, one of the Thirteen Heroes of the Stars summoned by Raven. Seemingly out of caution as a mercenary, she didn't immediately hand over the reins to her employer, so as to have more room to maneuver later.

Next is Bai Chen, who brought his student Kiana, his ally Otto who joined him in order to revive Kallen, and Otto's beloved Kallen Kaslana.

On the other side were the three members of the Far East Branch, and their summoned sister, best friend, and soul awakening mode.

Bai Chen's system popped up automatically, and a light screen that only he could see unfolded in front of him, displaying the side quest: The Seven-Person War in the Collapsed World, which was already halfway complete.

He has completely orchestrated this misunderstanding, and now it remains to be seen whether Kiana can emerge victorious at the ball.

With a thought, the system package opened, and several cards were taken out from it.

In the distance, Cecilia held up the Black Abyss White Flower, using the power of creation to heal Mei's wounds. As someone who possessed the holy blood of the Shaniat family, she could perfectly control the Black Abyss White Flower, using it as a weapon for healing.

Mei's wounds had just healed when an exceptionally loud voice echoed throughout the entire imaginary space.

A card quietly disappeared from Bai Chen's hand. It was a "Loud Speech Card" that allowed the user to give a loud speech effortlessly for half an hour.

"It's a pleasure to gather here with you all on this clear, starry night!" Bai Chen stood on the edge of the rooftop, opening his arms to welcome the guests in the distance.

His clothes twisted and changed under everyone's gaze; an ordinary costume change card transformed his originally unrestrained casual beach attire into a well-fitting suit for a dance host.

"I believe everyone has already obtained and used the pseudo-Simulated Book of Akasha's Record, and summoned their beloved or the hero with whom they have a karmic connection. Now, everyone is gathered here to welcome the true opening of this ball!"

A gigantic firework shot out from somewhere, bursting into beautiful, multicolored sparks in the sky above imaginary space. It was a "fireworks card," which, when used, could conjure up a spectacular fireworks display in the sky.

Everyone watched Bai Chen silently, unable to help but be astonished by the abilities he had displayed. Even Otto showed a slight look of surprise; he didn't understand how Bai Chen had changed his clothes.

The Herrscher of the Void can be played like this?

Black Seele narrowed her eyes, holding Bronya's arm tightly against her newly developing chest: "You're becoming more and more like a madwoman, it's such an annoying feeling."

[How terrifying, there's an ominous threat. Seele is afraid of people like this.] The white-clad Seele shrank back into the depths of her mind.

Amidst the multicolored flames, Bai Chen lightly snapped his fingers.

This is not reality, but an imaginary space he created. All the buildings in the imaginary space were actually constructed by him using Honkai energy and imagination. With the snap of his fingers, the rooftops where everyone was standing began to change. The complete buildings began to transform into floating platforms like building blocks, like abstract architecture in some absurd dream, yet containing some kind of pattern.

These platforms appeared beneath everyone's feet, lifting them and beginning to move. Not knowing what Bai Chen was up to, everyone could only tense up, wary of any potential sudden attacks.

However, Bai Chen did not intend to attack them. This was merely a method of classification. The platforms beneath the summoners and summoned were brought closer together and eventually merged, before finally stopping in a suitable location according to the trajectory specified by Bai Chen.

Once all the floating platforms had ceased operation and completed their final assembly, the original cityscape was no longer visible. Instead, a giant clock-shaped arena appeared in imaginary space.

Next to the circular arena are seven smaller platforms, each with a high-backed chair behind it inscribed with English words. Corresponding to the English words are the summoner and the heroes from history summoned by the fake book.

"Our game was originally supposed to be a covert battle throughout the city, with the identities and whereabouts of the participants being part of the puzzle. But unfortunately, at this ball, everyone knows each other very well, so we have to give up the fun of solving the puzzle."

Bai Chen floated in mid-air and announced the rules of the ball to everyone.

"This ball will last for seven days. Everyone can use any means necessary to defeat the others and become the final victor. The victor will receive a reward from me. Believe me, this reward can even change the course of the battle between humanity and the Honkai."

"And tonight is the best opportunity. The stage is already set up. If anyone wants to perform on stage, please hurry, because those opportunities will slip away unnoticed!"

---------------------

P.S.: I saw someone mention the professions. The main text doesn't actually divide them, but when I was making the outline, I thought the card art for the seven characters should look like this.

Cecilia Schariac, a Lancer, like all Lancers, died from bad luck and her own spear—meaning she was stabbed in the back by Otto after exhausting her blood.

Black Seele, Stigmata personality, Barsaka, Berserker, part-time lolicon (not really).

Karen Kaslana, an assassin, an assassin, after all, a phantom thief.

Fischl, archer, Archer, a rare normal archer.

Sakura, swordsman, Saber, nothing much to say.

Gretchen, Rider, Summoner, fights by relying on her own knight, which is very suitable. Other characters suitable for this class are half Herrscher of Thunder Kurikara and half Herrscher of Reason Motorcycle.

Kiana, Caster, got stronger after the protagonist's training. I even made a move list for her; she's definitely a mage!

Chapter 51 Otto's Mistake

While Bai Chen was speaking, Kiana kept her eyes fixed on Cecilia in the distance. Although Cecilia had died in the Second Honkai Impact while Sirin was still in a berserk state, so strictly speaking, Kiana had never even met Cecilia, the image of that gentle woman had always been in her memory, like a piece of honey hidden deep in her heart. Although it was hard to find, it was fragrant and sweet whenever she thought of it.

More importantly, when Cecilia appeared before Kiana, Sirin, inside the core of the Herrscher of the Void within Kiana's body, began to stir restlessly. Unlike her previous attempts to erode Kiana, this time Sirin seemed to have received some great stimulus, and began to twitch wildly, clearly expressing her desire for something.
