Lu Mingfei doesn't want to be a superhero

Thanks to the academic challenges faced by Chinese high school students, and thanks to the high educational standards of Shilan High School.

Lu Mingfei found that although his English was a bit rusty, he could still have normal conversations in the United States, at most his accent would be noticeable to others.

After shaking hands with Peter, Lu Mingfei sat down at his desk. The teacher began the lesson, and he took out the books and pen he had bought from his bag.

“What a beautiful pen,” Peter, who was sitting next to him, said in a low voice.

“I don’t know about other schools, but in my experience, Asians are easily bullied here, especially Chinese,” Peter whispered, pointing to a muscular blond boy in the front row. “You’d better watch out for that guy in your class named Flesh Thompson. He’s on the school football team and loves to bully his classmates.”

“Besides, he bullies me all the time. If you sit next to me, you might also be targeted by him.” Peter said this with a hint of apology.

Lu Mingfei silently remembered the big guy Peter was pointing at and decided to stay away from him.

He was most afraid of the school bully when he was at Shilan High School.

Although he has now awakened superpowers and can kill a group of terrorists by himself, he is not very controllable in using them. And he can't just stab himself and unleash his superpowers just because he was bullied by the school bully, can he?

After accepting the compass Peter kindly offered, Lu Mingfei thanked him and used the tip of the compass to carve "MingFei.Lu" onto the pen.

Just as Lu Mingfei was about to bite the bullet and speak, a boy walked over and said, "Flesh, I need to talk to Peter. Could you give us some space?"

Flesh glanced at the boy who had come over, then walked away reluctantly.

"Thanks, Harry." Peter breathed a sigh of relief.

“Hello, I’m Harry Osborn, Peter’s friend.” Harry extended his hand to Lu Mingfei.

Lu Mingfei quickly shook hands with him.

After chatting for a couple of minutes, Lu Mingfei said goodbye and went to the restroom—he really couldn't hold it in any longer.

During the next few breaks, Lu Mingfei would often hear people in the class discussing him. It seemed that because Chinese transfer students were relatively rare, he would probably be quite popular in the first couple of days after he arrived.

Two days of school life have passed, and Lu Mingfei has barely attended any classes in those two days.

He had absolutely no interest in listening to the lecture.

Unlike the less common helicopters, many students immediately recognized Tony, the renowned playboy and super genius.

A commotion broke out among the students, the clamor so loud it seemed to bury the blades of grass on the lawn.

Lu Mingfei stood in the crowd and couldn't help but rub his eyes.

The man in front of me, with his extravagant and arrogant manner, always accompanied by beautiful women, and even riding in a gold helicopter, exuding arrogance and swagger, is none other than the haggard and disheveled Tony from the terrorist base a few days ago.

Flesh pinched his thigh hard.

“Mingfei?” Peter Parker blinked blankly.

Chapter 5 Legend

Midtown Science High School, on the soccer field.

The speakers playing Titanic audio had been turned off; no one was paying attention to the movie anymore.

Almost everyone's eyes were focused on Tony and Lu Mingfei.

“I’ve finally found you,” Tony patted Lu Mingfei on the shoulder. “Even though you left me in the desert, I’m glad you’re alright.”

Feeling a bit awkward under the gaze of so many people, Lu Mingfei shifted his shoulders uncomfortably a couple of times before finally speaking, "Great, Tony, you're alright too. What about Ethan? How is he?"

“He’s resting in the hospital. The doctor said he was a bit weak, so I had him stay for a month to recuperate,” Tony said.

Lu Mingfei was completely relieved.

After being captured by the Ancient One, he was worried about how Tony and Ethan would get back to the city after being left in the desert. Although the Ancient One assured him that Tony and Ethan would be alright, Lu Mingfei was still a little uneasy.

Seeing Tony appear alive and well with his own eyes, Lu Mingfei finally became certain that the Ancient One had not lied to him.
