Chapter 19 The Ghost Who Speaks Kindly
Ghost charged out of the Spirit Hall, and after thinking for a moment, he ordered his subordinates to find a horse that was a hybrid of spirit beast and spirit beast.

After all, Wuhun City is quite far from Tiandou City. Even if he is a Title Douluo, he can't be treated like livestock.

So the ghost sat at a roadside stall, waiting for the real livestock to arrive.

"Nana, could you give me some gold soul coins?"

"No, what do you need so much money for?"

Upon hearing the voice, Ghost quickly put on the hood of his black robe, though he had no idea what Hu Liena and Xie Yue were talking about.

But if he gets discovered, he probably won't be able to hear it anymore.

Xie Yue and Hu Liena sat down in a spot not far from the ghost, seemingly about to have dinner.

"I just want to buy some things."

Xie Yue's voice wasn't loud, but the ghosts could hear it quite clearly.

"What could possibly require 1,500 gold soul coins?"

Hu Liena was almost laughing in anger. Although the two of them had saved up a lot of money over the years, Xie Yue was asking for 1,500 gold soul coins right off the bat. He was simply treating money like it was nothing.

"But I must have more than 1,500 gold soul coins over the years."

Xie Yue's tone hardened slightly, after all, he felt he had a legitimate reason.

"Then tell me what you want to buy?"

Seeing Xie Yue's self-righteous demeanor, Hu Liena assumed that he wasn't asking for money for those sordid reasons, and so she asked him.

"I promised to give Xia Yu a rocking chair made by a plant-type soul beast that is five thousand years old."

"The one he was holding in his arms all afternoon, the one that got smashed to pieces by the teacher?"

Hu Liena vaguely remembered Xia Yu's resentful expression; it was the first time she had ever seen that lazybones in all the years she had known him.

"Yes, he was very sad."

Hearing Xie Yue's words, Hu Liena nodded. Thinking of Xia Yu's appearance, she still felt a little amused, so she agreed.

"Okay, since the teacher damaged it, let's pay him back."

"The money?"

With a broad smile, Xie Yue reached out his hand for the gold soul coins.

"I'll go with you, so you won't get ripped off."

"what?!"

Hu Liena said she wanted to go too, which Xie Yue hadn't expected. He had already asked in the west of the city that afternoon, and it only cost 1,000 gold soul coins for a 5,000-year-old one.

Hearing that Hu Liena was also going, he immediately broke out in a cold sweat.

Just as the ghost was about to turn around, it saw a tall horse with a single horn on its head and covered in scales being led by its subordinates not far away, and it quickly went forward.

But they still couldn't escape Xie Yue and Hu Liena's eyes.

"Your Majesty Ghost Douluo, what are you doing here?"

"Oh, you two are here too. I have something important to do, so I won't chat any longer."

Ghost mounted his horse and galloped out of the city, but Hu Liena and the other two spotted him.

If he doesn't run away now, he can't very well say that he didn't say hello because he wanted to overhear the two younger people's private conversation.

That would be incredibly humiliating.

The horses' hooves clattered, and the ghosts traveled day and night, finally arriving outside Tiandou City on the second day after their departure.

He casually released the half-breed horse that was almost dead from running, then released his martial spirit to conceal his aura and galloped towards the Crown Prince's Eastern Palace.

The people from the Eastern Palace had long been replaced by members of the Spirit Hall by Qian Renxue. After showing their elder tokens, the ghosts were welcomed inside.

It wasn't until they reached the main hall that the ghost saw Qian Renxue, who was disguised as Xue Qinghe.

"My lord, this is what His Holiness the Pope entrusted to me to bring to you." Ghost handed the metal envelope that Bibi Dong had given him from the soul tool to Qian Renxue, and then began to look around the luxurious hall on his own.

Qian Renxue took the information and was frowning as she deciphered it when Gui Mei and Ci Xue made eye contact with each other.

Since they were colleagues, the two exchanged a smile when they saw Qian Renxue looking at them intently, and said nothing more.

After Qian Renxue finished reading, she slowly asked, "Did that woman tell you what to do?"

Ghost felt sweat dripping down his forehead. Just from that one word, "that woman," it was clear that this prince still harbored resentment towards His Holiness the Pope.

So he made full use of his initiative, thought for a while and said, "His Holiness the Pope has asked me to do some things for you."

Qian Renxue chuckled and continued, "How did she know all this information?"

"His Holiness the Pope went to great lengths to investigate this, probably to share His Highness's burdens."

The ghostly words were so pleasant that Qian Renxue, who had originally intended to mock Bibi Dong, held back from saying them.

After all, most of this information was only available to her, who was lurking in the Heaven Dou Empire. Bibi Dong, who was stationed in Wuhun City, had no other reason to conduct a special investigation.

"She really went to a lot of trouble."

Qian Renxue opened and closed her mouth, but in the end, she could only manage to utter this one sentence.

Seeing this, Ghost smiled broadly, feeling that he had done too much and that His Holiness the Pope would be pleased to know.

"When His Holiness the Pope instructed me to come, he specifically told me to say a few words to you."

Qian Renxue immediately became more serious and asked.

"What?"

"She told you to rest well and not to overwork yourself to complete the task, lest you harm your health."

"Hehe, I thought she was going to say something disgusting."

Because of that secret letter, Qian Renxue still believed some of the ghost's words.

After all, in that secret letter, there were also a few heartfelt words that Bibi Dong wrote specifically to ease the tension between mother and daughter, words that were impossible to understand without careful reading.

"As you know, Her Holiness the Pope is a cold-faced but warm-hearted person. Although you can't tell from her face, she actually cares about you quite a bit."

The ghost was lying through its teeth, so after saying that, it shut its mouth and waited for Qian Renxue's reply.

As Qian Renxue listened to these words, she recalled Bibi Dong's attitude towards her from childhood to adulthood, which had always been expressionless.

Furthermore, she had hardly ever spent any time with Bibi Dong since she could remember, so she really didn't know what kind of person Bibi Dong was.

So he nodded, which was a way of acknowledging the words of his mother's confidant.

"She has a heart."

After being persuaded by the ghost, Qian Renxue's tone softened considerably. She turned to the Porcupine Douluo beside her and said, "Please take Lord Ghost Douluo to the guest room to rest. There are still some things I need you two to do."

"Yes, Your Highness."

Ci Xue nodded, bowed, and dragged Gui Mei out the door, leaving Qian Renxue alone in the main hall.

After the two left, Qian Renxue took out the secret letter again and looked at it over and over again, her mind replaying the ghostly lies she had just heard.

A slight smile played on her lips, and she felt a little itchy inside.

Outside the door, Ghostly Demon and Bloodthirst exchanged a smile; Qian Renxue's movements naturally did not escape their perception.

"Ghost, wanna go for a drink? I'm happy today."

Ci Xue couldn't suppress his smile. He had practically watched Qian Renxue grow up, so seeing her happy made him happy too.

"Alright, let's drink until we drop."

Ghost glanced back and then left with Bloodstain.

'Hey, I, Ghost, have really done a great job.'
