Chapter 61 Mother Spark? Pluto Alloy!
Chapter 61 Mother Spark? Pluto Alloy!
Outside Water Seven at night, at the Frankie House.
"Whoosh" "Whoosh"
The Frankie family members were fast asleep, their snores filling the air.
They made a fortune today by robbing and dismantling a large pirate ship, so tonight's banquet is going very well.
Deep inside Franky's house, a drunk Franky, wearing only his underwear, was leaning back on the sofa drooling.
"Ugh, the liquor doesn't taste good, give me a Coke."
He mumbled something under his breath, rolled over, and lay down on the sofa.
But at that moment, a hand appeared silently on his back.
Then, with a gentle pull from that hand, a small door suddenly opened on his back.
As a cyborg, Franky, whose bodily senses had become less acute, was completely unaware of this.
then
Two more eyes appeared out of thin air inside his body, seemingly searching for something.
Within that body where circuits and machinery replaced flesh and blood, those eyes quickly found their target.
A stack of documents hidden inside Franky's body.
Those are the blueprints for Hades.
This was originally a secret known only to Franky—or rather, to Cardi Flam and Iceberg.
But now, this secret clearly has one more sharer.
"I'm sorry—although we're both Coca-Cola enthusiasts, I do have something I need to confirm."
Inside the alternate dimension, the mouse murmured softly.
Beneath the mask, with his eyes closed, Roy was secretly perusing the blueprints for Hades using the power of the Flower-Flower Fruit.
Of course, he had no interest in the complex structure of warships and skipped over it.
To reiterate—he knows where the real Hades exists, and has no interest in building another Hades.
On the 'Pluto blueprints', there was only one thing that interested him.
"found it!"
Soon, he saw what was written on a page of the Hades design.
The hull, deck, and weapons are made of 'Pluto alloy', which has extremely strong effects in terms of toughness, stability, vibration transmission, shock absorption, heat and cold resistance. It can remain stable in almost any environment. Adding just a small piece can greatly enhance the power of weapons and make them almost indestructible. It is the most perfect 'war metal' for manufacturing weapons and warships.
[The alloy's smelting materials consist of nineteen precious metals, including Arkham Iron, Flower Stone, and Seran Gold.]
The smelting must take place within the 'Eternal Flame'.
"really."
Upon seeing the contents of this page, Roy thought to himself, "Just as I expected."
"'Pluto Alloy'... just like Vegapunk recorded—he found some clues about Pluton's creation in that shipyard?"
Not long ago, he also went to explore that shipyard.
Unfortunately, nothing useful was found—or rather, it seems that everything useful was taken away.
Even so, he can now basically guess what happened to Vegapunk more than ten years ago.
This brilliant scientist somehow learned the secret of the 'low tide' of Water Seven and the ancient island in the southern sea of Water Seven.
According to Roy's current speculation, that special ancient island is very likely an island built by the shipwrights of the ancient Water Seven, and its essence is an 'underwater elevator'.
Shipwrights will use the power of the water gods to travel through that island to the seabed, where they will build 'Pluto' in that underwater dock.
As for how they did it, and why they did it, Roy doesn't know yet. But that doesn't matter.
Importantly, Vegapunk took advantage of the 'low tide' to go to the island, where he built a temporary research facility and dived down to the dock to explore.
He must have discovered something very important in that dock.
This should include some technology related to lineage factors, which allowed him to achieve a breakthrough in the experiment of 'Devil Fruit weapons' there.
but more importantly
"The words 'unlimited energy' were mentioned, so the discovery in that shipyard could very well be the source of inspiration for his future creation of the 'Mother Flame'?"
Roy wondered to himself.
The Mother Spark, a special energy source created by Vegapunk—possessing limitless energy, known as the Undying Flame, is the fuel that powers ancient weapons.
Now it seems that this energy source was not entirely invented by Vegapunk.
Because the design of Hades mentions the 'Eternal Flame'—although it is not the Mother Flame, it sounds like a similar energy source.
Vegapunk likely found some information about this energy source in the shipyard, which ultimately led to his successful creation of the Mother Spark.
This might also be the reason why Vegapunk wanted to take away the core data from that research institute—both 'Pluto' and 'Mother Spark' are things that are capable of destroying the world!
However, this was clearly not what Roy was concerned about.
"Pluto alloy, an ancient lost 'war alloy'?"
"This thing should be worth a lot of money if you sold it, right?"
What he cared about was the alloy itself—he knew without even guessing how sought-after it would be.
Although the alloy itself cannot create a complete 'Pluto', the real power of Pluto lies in the 'mother flame' that drives it.
Even so, this war alloy is definitely a top-tier strategic material.
Even the smallest amount is enough to drive ambitious people crazy!
"I remember Arkham Iron is a specialty of the North Sea, Flower Stone is a famous and precious mineral of the Flower Kingdom, and I've never heard of Seran Gold, but judging from the name, it's very likely from the Seranar Kingdom of the South Sea."
Roy recorded the nineteen metals needed to make the alloy.
It must be said that among these metals, those he had only heard of almost covered the entire world and the Grand Line, and they were all extremely precious minerals.
However, Roy knew very well.
Although these nineteen metals are precious, they are not the most difficult part of making 'Pluto Alloy'.
The most difficult part of making this alloy is the mother fire needed for smelting—even Vegapunk might not be able to create it now.
And Roy, of course, didn't have the ability to create this kind of energy.
But
"If it's just about melting and blending these metals together, then the mother flame might not be necessary."
This is the real reason why Roy is here right now.
He knew of a certain Devil Fruit that could do this.
And quite coincidentally...
"The thing that controls the transformation range of the 'Giant Hand' happens to be near that Devil Fruit."
As he muttered to himself, full of anticipation, he slowly turned and left.
"Hmm? Who is it?"
Only then did Franky groggily open his eyes.
He looked at his body with some confusion—he had been feeling an itch in his stomach.
But after feeling around and confirming that the Hades blueprints were still inside him, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"It must be an illusion."
He muttered something to himself, then collapsed back down.
