Let's start over, Your Majesty.

Chapter 44 Ita's Secret

Chapter 44 Ita's Secret

Ita, panting, ran towards the guesthouse.

Hearing Caesar's words, she ran quickly back to the inn and told Yumilia and everyone else.

There are dangerous things in the sea!

She ran up the steps by the beach, but bumped into something and fell to the ground.

Covering her head and looking up, she saw a tall figure, like a wall blocking her way, with a pair of emerald green vertical pupils coldly staring at her from that gloomy face.

Ita looked at him, her eyes widening in surprise, her lips parting slightly:

"Uncle Fussrian?"

On the beach, Caesar was running back as fast as he could.

He had just been forced by that man to reveal everything he knew.

He and another companion both worked for the Frederick family, acting as the family's underground cleaners. Their mission this time was to secretly assassinate Ita.

There is no such thing as a dragon settlement. Ita has no older brothers or sisters. Everything she experienced in the past was the environment her parents created for her, a dragon atmosphere designed to help her grow into a true dragon.

Most of his previous guesses were correct; the dragons did indeed have secret connections with human society.

The Frederick family is a large family in the Kingdom of Fane that has a history of more than three hundred years. Today, it has a vast network of influence throughout the world and controls many important industries such as mining, shipping, and banking. The real controllers behind the family are Ita's parents, the last pure-blooded dragons of the Holonig lineage.

Seven months ago, the Holonigers perished in a clandestine experiment, and Ita became the last pure-blooded dragon in the world.

Only a few members of the family know the truth about the Holonig couple's deaths, but their deaths have left the family without a leader. The only heir designated in the will, the last pure-blooded dragon, Ita, ran away from the settlement a few days ago and his whereabouts are unknown.

From the beginning, various factions within the family engaged in a chaotic power struggle, and the one who ultimately ended this farce was Ita himself.

The entire family launched a search for her.

Now, it is not the Holonig faction that has found Ita first, but their rival, Anoni.

Their discovery of Ita will surely leak out, so they must use this time to get rid of this first heir.

This is the source of my voyeuristic feeling these past few days.
Their target is Ita!

Caesar ran back as fast as he could, praying that they hadn't come looking for him yet.

At this moment, two golden halos slowly pulsed around his body. This was one of the powers of the Emperor's Seal that he had just activated: Legion.

Once sufficient magic power is available, the Imperial Seal unlocks three powers: "Wrath of the Gods," "Holy Martial Arts," and "Legion."

The Holy Martial Arts: In order to create this power, Caesar consumed an entire imperial arsenal for his personal use. It can summon these weapons in the form of mechanical souls and control them at will. As long as there is enough magic power, he can even summon thousands of weapons in a short period of time.

Legions, built upon their own strength, create soldiers with formidable combat power. They obey commands and dissipate when their magic is depleted. The types of troops and their maximum combat strength are also based on their creator.

Caesar originally wanted to wait until he had more magic power before building the legion, but the situation was urgent, so he had to build two for the time being.

The siren is definitely just one of their methods; they have also prepared assassination methods that we are unaware of, so we must be fully prepared.

He ran to the beach where he had parted ways with Ita earlier, and was now very close to the location of the guesthouse.

He jumped onto the coastal embankment and immediately saw Ita lying on the lawn not far ahead.

"Ita!"

He rushed over immediately and helped her up.

Fortunately, he could still feel her heartbeat and breathing; Ita had simply fainted.

But at that moment, a chilling killing intent surged up my back.

He immediately turned around, raised his left hand, and a golden light flashed as a heavy cavalry shield as tall as a man was placed in front of him, blocking the sudden magical impact.

At the same time, he pointed forward with his right hand, and a spear materialized, shooting towards the location where the spell had just been cast.

With a roar, a figure soared into the air and landed not far from him.

When Caesar finally saw the figure clearly, he frowned slightly.

"Snake-people?"

The other person's emerald green eyes and the long tail trailing behind him both announced his identity: a snake-man.

Slowly emerging from the shadows, her emerald eyes fixed on Caesar, she spoke softly:
"They're right, you're extraordinary."

"You're one of Aoni's people?"

The other person shook his head: "No, my name is Fuslian. Although my goal is also Ita, I am not on the same side as them." His emerald green eyes flickered, revealing a strange smile: "I would never let the precious dragon bloodline disappear from the world. Instead, I should use it to create something even greater, wouldn't I?"

Caesar glanced down at Ita, whose face was pale and weak, and asked grimly, "What did you do to her?"

“Don’t worry, it’s just a little poison that made her faint temporarily. After all, if she could use some of the dragon’s power, it would still be quite troublesome for me,” Fuslian said, shrugging his shoulders.

Seeing Caesar's hostile expression, the other party chuckled:
"Actually, you don't need to be so wary of me. Logically speaking, I am her uncle, but I have watched her grow up since she was a child, and I get along very well with her parents."

Caesar sneered: "You're joking with me, aren't you? You're a snake-person who gets along well with dragons."

Hearing Caesar say this, the other party didn't seem angry at all. Instead, he said with surprise, "Oh? So, you also know about that secret history between races?"

Dragons and snake peoples are arguably the two most irreconcilable races in history. Although the snake peoples are weaker than the dragons, they possess unusual and strange magic and have repeatedly harassed and invaded the dragons. This eventually led to the dragons' extermination of the snake peoples, which resolved the irreconcilable conflict between the two sides.

“That’s right. For a long time, I betrayed my entire race and became a vassal of the dragons. My people despised me, drove me away, and cursed me, but only I know why.” Fuslian said calmly, raising his hand to point at Ita.

"I will be the pioneer who will lead the entire race up the ladder of evolution, and the key to opening that door is her, the life element of the pure-blooded dragon race."

"Evolution?" Caesar chuckled coldly. "You're not talking about the kind of dark magic that only exists in legends, the kind that fuses with life elements?"

"The limitations of the ancients could only be shown in legends, but now, with the maturity of the theory of evolution and biological science, I will make it a reality," Fuslian said, his voice tinged with excitement.

"Dragons, a race envied by all living beings. When the Creator created them, it was as if He wanted to bestow upon them all the good things in the world: strength, lifespan, physique, and magic. If it weren't for their lack of reproductive ability, how could they not be beings that dominate the entire biosphere?"

"And now, I will take back everything that the Creator has given them!"

Fuslian's voice returned to calm as he looked at Caesar and slowly said:
"Besides Ita, you are the most surprising individual to me. Such a young body contains such great vitality. Although I don't know how you did it, you would be perfect as a subject for my experiments."

"So, you want to take me back too?" Caesar said.

“No, I’m begging you, begging you to join me,” Fuslian opened his arms to him: “Join me, and in the future, you will also embark on the glorious ladder of evolution with me, to become legends, to rise above all things!”

“Go to hell!” Caesar raised his hand and gave him the middle finger.

"Hundreds of years ago, you worm-like creatures were causing trouble everywhere, and you're still the same old thing after all these years. Why was Horonig so kind back then and didn't slaughter you all?"

Fuslian's expression immediately darkened, and he said to Caesar, "What do you think I've been wasting so much breath on here? I've given you a choice, but you only have one chance."

"Then why do you think I'm wasting so much time talking to you? Just chatting idly out of boredom?" Caesar chuckled coldly, standing up while holding Ita.

Just then, his two golden halos suddenly exploded, releasing dazzling light that illuminated a large area around him.

For a short time, Fuslian lost his sight. When he regained his sight, he saw two tall, heavily armored knights, each wielding a greatsword and shield, standing on either side of Caesar. They were leaning forward, already in battle stance, exuding intense killing intent.

The creation of the Legion Knights was finally completed during his standoff with Fuslian.

Caesar put one arm around Ita, and raised the other hand, waving it towards Fuslian.
"Did him."

The heavily armored knights on both sides sprang up and surrounded Fuslian from both sides, their greatswords slashing towards his neck and waist respectively.
Fuslian paused, then leaped from the ground, a pair of bat-like wings suddenly expanding behind him as he took off rapidly.

"Your Majesty!"

A resounding, authoritative shout rang out, and Fuslian felt his heart skip a beat, his body stiffen, and he uncontrollably plummeted to the ground.
"A stun spell?" He looked at his trembling hands in surprise.

Caesar narrowed his eyes slightly. This snake-man's abilities were stronger than he had imagined, and the current intimidation was not enough to make him completely submit.

But restricting his movements is enough.

Two heavily armored knights stepped forward with their swords drawn and slashed at Fuslian's body.

But Fuslian's expression suddenly twisted, his muscles tore through his clothes, expanded rapidly, and grew green scales. His head also began to change into the shape of a snake's head.

In a short time, he transformed from human form into a monster three meters tall with wings, a snake's head, and thick limbs.

He's more like a lizard now than a snake, a lizard with wings.

He simply raised his hand and used the scales on his hand to block the heavy knight's slash. With a twist of his body, his thick wings swept across, knocking one of the heavy knights back several meters. He then steadied himself with his longsword.

Looking at that hideous, monstrous creature, Caesar frowned.
It seems this guy was right; he did indeed make achievements in the field of biological evolution, and even turned his own body into this inhuman, ghostly state.

However, it must be said that this level of evolution has indeed enhanced his combat power.

After deflecting the two heavily armored knights, his gaze turned to Caesar.

All you could see was him opening his mouth, and he vomited out countless round objects that looked like insect eggs. They fell to the ground, wriggled, broke free of their restraints, and rapidly grew into alien-like creatures.

Dozens of small aliens were scattered around, surrounding Caesar, and they roared at him in a shrill, hoarse voice.

"It's a bit disgusting." Caesar's eye twitched.
