Chapter 37 Bicycles

When we got back to the flower field, we saw Ita riding her bicycle leisurely from afar, her short hair fluttering in the breeze.

"Caesar, look! I've learned to ride a bike so quickly!"

Upon seeing Caesar, she quickly rode her bicycle towards him, circling back and forth around him.

"Really? That's really impressive," Caesar praised sincerely.

As expected of a dragon, its learning ability is quite strong.

"Hehe, and I've also learned how to turn, and going uphill is no problem either," Ita said.

“That’s impressive, but could you please stop circling around me for a moment?” Caesar said.

"This won't work because I haven't learned how to park the car yet."

"."

Caesar stepped forward, steadied the handlebars, and lifted Ita off the bicycle.

Xiao Long breathed a sigh of relief after landing.

“Thanks to Caesar, I almost thought I was going to be stuck in the carriage forever,” she said, patting her chest.

Felicity followed behind, panting.

"Phew, Ita, slow down, I can't keep up!"

She saw Caesar and chuckled, "Caesar, do you want to try? Ita learned to ride a bike in less than an hour."

“I don’t need it,” Caesar said.

"Hey? But Ita has already learned it. If you can't, won't you feel embarrassed?" Felicity raised her eyebrows at him, provoking him.

"No way!"

Before he could speak, Ita said for him, "Caesar is so smart, he can definitely learn faster than me. Besides, Caesar knows a lot more than I do. A bicycle is nothing to him."

“See? Ita said so, so why don’t you give it a try?” Philie said, going along with Ita’s suggestion.

"I really don't know what's the point of comparing these things," Caesar sighed.

He took the handlebars from Ita, and at that moment, it seemed as if the memory of riding a bicycle from a long, long time ago had resurfaced. He pushed the bicycle forward, slung it over his shoulder, and after only swaying twice, he started riding steadily.

"Caesar is awesome!" Ita clapped his hands happily.

"He's really good at it," Felic muttered to herself, wanting to show off her cycling skills in front of him.

Although Caesar was not quite used to it, he still kept a steady grip on the chariot and drove along the narrow road.

He was quite surprised by his proficiency. He thought that since he had never ridden a bicycle in his life, his body could not possibly have muscle memory, but he did not expect that he could still ride so smoothly.

You can ride freely even if you let go of the handlebars.

"This guy, he must have ridden it before," Felicity thought to herself as she looked at Caesar, and snorted inwardly.

"I thought I'd never experience that again, but it seems it's nothing special after all," Caesar thought to himself.

Just as he was about to turn the car around and go back, two children suddenly emerged from the flower bushes beside him, chasing each other. They didn't notice him and were about to crash into him.

In the emergency, he could only slam on the brakes and turn the car around, but on the uneven road surface, the vehicle skidded and rolled down the slope with him in tow.

"Caesar!"

Ita quickly ran up.

"Oh no!" Phily followed.

Yumilia, who was still chatting on the hillside, heard Ita's shout. She turned her head and saw Caesar tumbling down the slope. Her heart tightened, and she got up and ran towards him.

"Caesar!"

"Well"

Caesar moved the bicycle off him. He had tumbled several times with the bicycle, and several parts of his body ached, with cuts on his cheek that were bleeding.

"Caesar!"

Ita ran down the slope, helped him push his bicycle aside, and helped him up.

Are you alright?

Xiao Long's eyes were full of self-blame; it was because of her that Caesar had gone cycling.

"I didn't."

"Caesar!"

Yumilia ran over at that moment, grabbed his hand, and said anxiously, "Where did you hurt yourself? Do you need to go to the clinic?"

"I'm fine. I just tripped and fell. What could possibly happen?"

Although he was in considerable pain and could barely stand, their anxious, almost desperate, demeanor made Caesar feel incredibly vulnerable.
"I'll be fine after a short rest."

Caesar shook off their helping hands, took two steps, and sat down on the slope.

"I'm so sorry, little brother, we really didn't notice."

The mother of the two children then came over with her two children and apologized to him, saying that she was playing with the children in the field when they almost bumped into each other.

Seeing his sincere apology, Caesar didn't know what else to say, and after mentioning it a couple more times, he said nothing more.

"You should still go to the clinic, in case the wound gets infected," Yumilia said.

“Yes, let’s take a look, just in case,” the mother said.

"I told you it's nothing." Caesar noticed that many people in the flower field were looking this way, and he couldn't help but complain in his heart.

"I'm not made of paper, I don't break at the slightest touch."

"That's it"

Yumilia knelt down in front of him and gently wiped the wounds on his face with a handkerchief. Although she didn't say a word, her eyes still showed her heartache.

The day trip came to an end. Yumilia accompanied Caesar home early. Along the way, Caesar refused her and Ita's help, insisting that he could walk back on his own.

Once back in his room, he finally managed a grin, gasping for breath.

He rolled up his trouser leg, revealing a large bruise on his calf bone.

The bicycle wheel had hit his calf hard just now. Although there was no bleeding, it hurt terribly whenever he walked, but Caesar endured it without showing it.

"Tsk, what's there to care about with this kind of injury? Back in the day, I got slashed several times in battle and didn't even make a sound," he took a deep breath and forced himself to comfort himself.

However, as a child, the pain he felt could not be ignored.

Just then, there was a knock on the door, and he quickly pulled his trouser leg down.

Yumilia came in carrying gauze and ointment.

"What is it now?" Caesar asked, feigning indifference.

Yumilia didn't say anything. She squatted down in front of Caesar and silently lifted up his trouser leg. Caesar tried to pull back, but she grabbed him.

Upon seeing the dark purple color, she sighed helplessly.

I knew it.

"I already told you it's nothing, this little injury will heal in a couple of days," Caesar whispered.

"Alright," Yumilia said helplessly, "even so, can't we at least apply some medicine?"

Caesar remained silent, so she opened the medicine bottle, dipped a gauze in the medicinal wine, and gently wiped it on.

The intense pain from the alcohol made Caesar convulse, but he managed to keep quiet.

“If it hurts, you can yell out. I’ve already sent Ita out to run errands, so no one will hear you,” Yumilia said.

"It doesn't hurt," Caesar retorted stubbornly.

"Okay," Yumilia said softly, ruffling his hair.

"I know Caesar is a brave man, but it's okay for him to be a little childish in front of me. I won't tell anyone."

Caesar's face flushed slightly, his eyes looked away, and he said through gritted teeth:
"I know, really."

After treating the wounds on his legs, Yumilia then applied ointment to the wounds on his face. When the stinging ointment touched the wounds, Caesar finally couldn't help but hiss softly.
"Does it hurt?"

Yumilia pouted slightly and gently blew air into the wound.

"Don't be afraid, the pain will all fly away."

The warm breath blowing on the wound felt itchy and actually made it less painful.

"See, it doesn't hurt anymore, does it?" Yumilia looked up and smiled at him with narrowed eyes.

"...I'm not a child anymore, why are you trying to coax me like this?" Caesar said softly.

Yumilia, with a faint smile on her lips, continued to wipe his wound.

"To me, Caesar will always be a child."
