Let's start over, Your Majesty.
Chapter 328
Chapter 328
"Well, it's not a serious matter," Yumilia said softly.
She held the gift certificate and pouted slightly.
"I just wanted to see what it's like to be at a social gathering."
Seeing her like this, Caesar's words caught in his throat.
"Why bother with this kind of thing? You'd be better off coming out with me instead of getting involved in this kind of gathering," Ita said, hugging her and acting coquettishly.
Yumilia hesitated, glancing at Caesar and then at Ita.
"Then I think I'll... forget it."
She placed the gift certificate on the table and put her arm around Ita.
"Then, I'll spend the weekend with you, Ita."
"Yes!" Ita said happily.
But Caesar picked up the gift certificate and said to Yumilia, "If you want to go, then go ahead, I'll go with you."
"Eh?"
Ita then propped herself up from Yumilia's arms and looked at Caesar in surprise.
"Caesar, are you serious?"
“That’s true. It’s just a party. If you want to go, then go. It’s not a big deal.” He shrugged.
“Caesar…” Yumilia lowered her head slightly.
“Hmm…” Ita puffed out her cute little face.
"I really wanted to go with Caesar..."
"You just said this kind of thing is boring and troublesome to deal with," Caesar glanced at her.
“I was…” Ita hesitated, then finally turned her head away.
"Caesar, are you really going to come with me?" Yumilia asked again.
"So didn't I already say? You were the one who wanted to go before, weren't you?" Caesar said helplessly.
“That, that’s me too.” Yumilia didn’t know what to say.
“Let me see, this location is at the Sunrise Building, is it 1 p.m.? We can have Kardashian drive us there,” Caesar said.
"What do you think?" he asked, looking at Yumilia.
“I, I can do anything…” Yumilia said.
“Hmm… Caesar and Yumilia went to the party together, and I was left alone at home…” Ita said sullenly.
"Alright, I'll make it up to you next time," Caesar said, ruffling her hair.
“What I want isn’t so easy to satisfy,” Ita said to him.
"Hehe, as long as you can satisfy Ita..." Caesar slightly curled the corners of his mouth.
Ita blushed and stuck out her pink little tongue at Caesar.
"Ita, be good. I'll come and keep you company next time," Yumilia said, rubbing her head.
“Hmm…” Ita responded.
She wanted to sit up and kiss Yumilia, but as soon as she sat up, her little bottom, which had just been bullied, suddenly hurt, causing her to fall shakily onto Yumilia.
...
Three days later, at the Sunshine Building.
The car stopped, and Caesar got out, then took Yumilia's hand and led her out as well.
“Come pick us up here in three hours,” Caesar instructed the driver.
Then, he continued to lead Yumilia into the building.
He dressed up quite nicely today, but his overall look was still more youthful than usual. He didn't choose the high-necked formal suit he usually wears to parties. Yumilia, on the other hand, changed into a gorgeous little dress and a headdress that Ita had specially chosen for her, giving her the air of a wealthy heiress.
She was still a little nervous as Caesar led her.
After all, attending this kind of adult gathering is a completely new experience for me.
What's more, it's with her own child.
She glanced at Caesar furtively and noticed that he had no expression on his face and was simply looking for the elevator in the lobby.
The little elf sighed inwardly.
"Really, what am I doing..." She suddenly felt a little regretful.
Now I'm too embarrassed to say I'm not going, so I have no choice but to bite the bullet and come.
“Yumeria…” Caesar suddenly called her name.
"Huh? Wh-what?" Yumilia quickly responded.
“Is there anything else you need to do? If not, let’s go up.” Caesar pointed to the elevator. “Oh, okay, let’s go…” Yumilia said.
So Caesar took her up in the elevator, where a young couple also got on.
They were clearly there for the party; they were holding hands, whispering, and seemed very close.
Yumilia glanced at them, then at Caesar, and finally lowered her head, but Caesar suddenly grabbed her hand tighter.
The elevator doors closed and it began to ascend.
These old-fashioned elevators are slow and wobbly as they ascend, giving the impression that they will jam and plummet at any moment.
Fortunately, nothing happened. After arriving at the designated floor, the elevator doors opened, and the venue for the gathering was right outside.
Caesar noticed that as they walked out together, the couple next to them gave them surprised looks.
After they handed in their gift certificates together at the front desk, the two huddled together and whispered to each other.
"Ah...it seems I was misunderstood as soon as I came in." Caesar smiled helplessly at Yumilia.
“Hmm…” Yumilia blushed, lowered her head, and remained silent.
Upon entering the venue, I found the environment to be surprisingly nice, with elegant decorations, cleanliness, and a spacious layout.
There weren't many people there; they were mostly young people, and most of them were in groups.
"Speaking of which, is the kingdom so unbalanced these days? Most of the single people who come are ladies," Caesar couldn't help but remark.
“Yes,” Yumilia said after looking around.
The entire venue is very quiet now, and everyone is talking in hushed tones, in small groups, chatting amicably.
He tugged at Yumilia's hand, smiled, and said, "Shall we go and exchange our thoughts?"
“Caesar…” Yumilia said, her face flushed, as she grabbed his hand.
"Alright, alright, let's find a place to sit down and rest for a bit."
He pulled Yumilia to sit by the window, and then went to get some tea and snacks.
After sitting down, Yumilia sipped her sweet tea slowly.
Caesar looked around and said to Yumilia, "Luckily we didn't run into anyone we know, otherwise things would have been complicated."
Yumilia pursed her lips, and to be honest, she breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that no one was around.
The mother and son remained in their seats for a while. Although some people would glance at them curiously, no one came over.
Yumilia glanced at the crowd coming and going and muttered to herself, "Looks like no one's going to try to talk to me..."
“It would be a miracle if it were,” Caesar said.
Putting aside the fact that no one would assume a little girl is there for a blind date, even if they knew Yumilia's true identity, not a single man would dare to approach her.
After all, this would mean exposing one's fetishes in front of so many women, and these gentlemen from the upper-middle class certainly wouldn't want such a loss of reputation.
Just as the two were pushing and shoving each other, someone walked towards them.
She was a mature woman around thirty years old, wearing glasses and dressed rather conservatively; she looked like a capable, elite businesswoman.
She raised her eyes and smiled: "Good afternoon, my name is Branlin, the head of the department at Riverland Hospital."
Caesar paused for a moment, then realized that this lady had taken a liking to him.
"Hello, my name is Caesar." Caesar smiled calmly.
“Caesar…” The lady seemed to recognize the name. Caesar had appeared in the newspapers a few times, but he was also quite low-key, so he wasn't very well-known in the kingdom.
But she didn't think much of it and sat down next to him.
Suddenly a woman appeared, and Yumilia, who had just pushed him, immediately turned around and hugged Caesar's arm tightly, looking at him uneasily.
“Caesar, you don’t seem to enjoy talking to others. You’ve been staying here with this… person.” She said, immediately acknowledging that Yumilia was Caesar’s junior.
"I guess so, but I don't really like crowds." Caesar took Yumilia's small hand.
"That's because...you're so young..."
“Haha, she is Yumilia,” Caesar admitted.
"Huh?" Branlin asked in a funny way, looking at the two of them in shock.
"So, so you are... um, sorry, is she the one who's coming to this party?" she stammered.
“Oh, no, I just brought her here. She’s never been to a party like this before and she was curious, so I brought her to see it,” Caesar said with a faint smile.
"You, you brought her to this kind of party..."
The woman had a puzzled look on her face.
The elite woman opened her mouth, said "Oh," then hesitated, stammered a few times, and finally stood up, "I, um, I'm sorry, I didn't know before... call, sorry to bother you."
She quickly got up, said goodbye, and left.
"Caesar!" After everyone left, Yumilia grabbed Caesar's hand and said anxiously.
“That’s perfect, no one will bother us,” Caesar shrugged indifferently.
"Well…"
In contrast to her panic and helplessness, Caesar seemed indifferent, glancing at his watch and muttering to himself how only half an hour had passed.
