Chapter 33 [Returning to the Path of Compassion, Offering Pears and Dates]

In the present time and space, Buddhism has not yet been established, but the characteristic of the Great Luo being present in the past, present and future makes Buddhism exist between existence and non-existence.

In other words, in the eyes of the Great Immortal, Buddhism had already been established.

However, in the eyes of beings below the Great Luo level, Buddhism would probably only be truly established after the Investiture of the Gods and the conversion of barbarians to Buddhism!

Since Dipankara has already attained the Great Luo, a state of eternal enlightenment, he is naturally qualified to go to the Garden of Solitude. However, at this moment, his Great Luo attainment is not yet complete, and he has not severed his three corpses, so he cannot attain the status of a past Buddha.

In the current timeline, the three sages of the Xuanmen sect still dominate. If he wants to achieve perfect enlightenment in this timeline, he must actively join the Xuanmen system.

Xuan Yin, having understood all this, couldn't help but shake his head: "Randeng was originally a guest from the West, who entered the Chan Sect to attain enlightenment. The will of the sages cannot be changed; only the true Dharma of the past remains! It's all the will of Heaven!"

The causes and effects of Buddhism and Taoism are intertwined. Although the two are opposed, the saints are indestructible, which makes it possible for them to merge.

Entering Taoism from Buddhism, or entering Buddhism from Taoism, is essentially an exchange.

It was precisely because the Daoist Ran Deng was a patriarch-level figure and a past Buddha of Buddhism that Yuanshi Tianzun made him the vice leader of the Chan Sect.
