Chapter 19 Recruiting Members
Above the Source Castle, before the Fool, Chu Zihang and Chen Motong pondered silently. A mistake? A dreamer? A Red Priest?

What are the meanings behind these three code names? Why am I the Red Priest/Dreamer?
Did Mr. Fool just randomly choose the name for them? Or was there a deeper meaning?
Xu Lie then took the initiative to ask, "Respected Mr. Fool, are these code names perhaps your expectations for us?"

The Fool, disguised as a buffoon, was quite the riddle teller: "You'll find out later."

"Of the three newcomers, one has already taken the potion."

"There are also those who are about to take the potion."

"What I need to tell you is that if you want to digest the potion as quickly as possible and advance to the next level, you must master the method of acting."

Chu Zihang and Chen Motong then stopped observing each other and pondering the meaning of the code names, and focused their attention on listening to Mr. Fool's teachings.

Xu Lie, in his true form, perfectly countered with a straight man's line: "Acting method?"

"It's the name of your potion," the Fool kindly instructed. "Actually, the name of each potion in the sequence already tells you what to do."

"As long as you deliberately keep your words and actions consistent with the name of the potion in your daily life, and treat yourself as an actor, playing a profession that matches the name of the potion, you can quickly digest the potion, which can take as long as half a year or as short as one month."

"If we don't use the role-playing method and rely solely on time, digesting potions will be extremely slow. Within our Old Church, there are even some who have not been able to digest Sequence 9 potions for decades."

Chu Zihang felt inexplicably anxious. So that's why it's called the 'role-playing' method. Does he have to act as a hunter every day?

For the sake of strength and power, how should one best play the role of a hunter?

Chu Zihang absolutely could not accept that he had been unable to digest the Hunter's Potion for decades.

Chen Motong felt at ease and secretly rejoiced that she had joined the Old Church, at least the atmosphere within the church was good.

Even when Mr. Wrong interrupted him with a question, the high and mighty cult leader Fool did not get angry and continued to patiently teach everyone.

Mr. Fool is a very tolerant and good-tempered person.

Unaware of their true thoughts, the Fool offered the Old Church's perk: "Every time you are promoted, I will give you a suggestion on how to act."

"Of course, the specific methods will vary from person to person. What suits you best is the best, so this is just a suggestion."

"For example, Mr. Error, you need to do more hands-on practice."

"Take Mr. Red Priest for example, isn't a big city just a giant steel forest?"

"And then there's the dreamer lady, the television viewer, who can't change the content of the television programs."

Xu Lie nodded repeatedly, as if to say that he fully understood how to play the role.

Chu Zihang was somewhat delighted. So that's how it is! The method of role-playing varies from person to person. He doesn't necessarily have to go hunting in the wild; he can do it just as well in the city!

Chen Motong, who hadn't drunk the potion yet, was a bit confused, but he remembered the advice.

“Remember this.” While instructing them on the promotion process, the Fool did not forget to warn them of the risks: “You are just playing a role.”

"Never lose yourself, or you will no longer be yourself."

This is easy to understand. Regardless of Xu Lie's true identity, Chu Zihang and Chen Motong both understand the meaning of this sentence. Getting lost in the act and losing themselves is the taboo they need to be careful about.

Then, the Fool made no move, but the billowing gray mist condensed into three pieces of paper, which flew to the three people respectively: "This is your first mission."

"To make it easier to understand, I will record your contributions after completing the task as a score."

"When you have almost finished digesting the current potion, you can pray to me and make a sacrifice. I will then bestow upon you the recipe for the next potion."

At this point, the Fool went on to explain the mystical rituals of sacrifice and bestowal.

After briefly explaining the sacrifice, he continued, "But the materials for potions, such as the two main materials for Sequence 8, each require 400 points to exchange. You can also go out and find them yourselves and trade with each other."

"Finally, this task is not mandatory for you to complete. You can also give up, and I will give you a different task next Monday."

Xu Lie's dragon blood materials are becoming increasingly scarce, and even stealing from the preparatory class's alchemy classroom is no longer enough to meet the demand.

We barely have enough for ourselves, how can we provide it to them for free?
They should be content with just a Sequence 9 potion.

Of course, this won't affect the old church's style. Providing nanny-like service and all the resources sounds incredibly wealthy.

But to put it another way, isn't it equally classy that our old church doesn't cultivate useless people who only ask for resources?

Xu Lie took the gray-fuzzy paper and saw only one sentence written on it: 'Hehe, playing Mr. Fool is so much fun! I can do this every week from now on.'

The original body, its features hidden in the gray mist, chuckled. "You're just being cheeky, clone."

Chu Zihang, on the other hand, carefully examined the papers.

The task above is simple: provide the address, contact information, and current location of Fingel von Frings, a graduate student at Kassel College who is extending his studies there. This will earn you 50 points.

Such a simple task, but why does the Old Church want Fingel's contact information?

Could it be that this senior also has some talent, and was chosen by the Old Church just like him?

Or perhaps, this senior has caused some trouble for the Old Church, and the Old Church is trying to get rid of him?
What to do? Chu Zihang was caught in a dilemma. If it was the former, that would be fine, but if it was the latter, wouldn't that be equivalent to him killing Fingel?
Should we abandon this mission?

Chen Motong was also looking at the mission; her mission was very difficult.

It clearly states that the old church received intelligence that Professor Guderian of Kassel College, along with three students, is preparing to recruit students in the coastal area.

Chen Motong was naturally one of the three students, and her task was to recruit the other two, Ye Sheng and Jiu Deyaji, into the association.

For each person you refer, you earn 200 contribution points.

"You may speak freely now." Mr. Fool finally raised his hand, indicating that his speech was over.

Xu Lie, in his true form, threw out a brick to attract jade, waving the task paper in his hand: "My task is to recruit a wild hybrid, yours is similar, right?"

Chu Zihang nodded silently, while urgently paying attention to Chen Motong on the other side. He had mistakenly received the task of recruiting people to join the guild. Where was the dreamer?

in case……

Chen Motong replied cheerfully, "That's about right. I need to recruit two people to join right away."

At the same time, Chen Motong keenly realized something: she was a student in Kassel, and her task was to recruit the other students into the association.

Mr. Error's mission is to recruit wild hybrids into his society? Does this mean that Mr. Error is not from Kassel College?
Chu Zihang breathed a sigh of relief. Judging from this, the Old Church should be giving them tasks to recruit people.

Perhaps it's because Senior Finger is difficult to deal with? Or perhaps the Old Church knew that Chu Zihang was currently on a mission in the Executive Department and couldn't leave on his own, so they didn't ask him to personally go and retrieve him?

In any case, it's good news.

"How can we ensure that the newcomers are loyal to the church?" Xu Lie asked in a light tone, clearly not troubled by this: "Mr. Red Priest, Ms. Dreamer."

"Do you have any good ideas? Or is it enough to just get a verbal agreement?"

No one was stupid. Chu Zihang and Chen Motong were both observing Mr. Fool out of the corner of their eyes.

Mr. Error is asking them on the surface, but he is actually asking the fools.

Sure enough, the Fool did not remain silent: "It's alright, as long as he willingly recites my name, then you, Mr. Mistake, have completed your task."

"Thank you for your explanation, Mr. Fool." Xu Lie, in his true form, respectfully expressed his gratitude and then looked at the other two.

It's as if to say, "I have no more questions. Do you have any information to share? Or any questions?"

Chu Zihang remained as taciturn as ever, utterly silent. Xu Lie even considered recommending him to play the role of the Silent Disciple.

Chen Motong originally wanted to say a few more words, but considering that the Old Church had promised her that it would send the audience potion to her after this meeting.

She's already eager to go home. Let's talk next Monday!

"In that case, the meeting is adjourned." The Fool gently tapped the table, and the deep red blossomed once more.
