Chapter 90 The Great Demon King of Games
Chapter 90 The Great Demon King of Games (3.4k)
After sitting down and starting to eat, Sunny took a bite of the sweet and sour pork and her eyes lit up:
"Wow! Yoona, this tastes great! Did you make it?"
"Oh, I didn't make it, I ordered takeout."
Upon hearing this, Taeyeon, who was standing next to her, smiled mysteriously and silently put a large piece of meat into her mouth.
Sunny was skeptical, but with delicious food in front of her, she temporarily suppressed the urge to ask further questions.
After they had eaten and drunk their fill and tidied up, Sunny felt the time was right and suggested with a smile:
"Hey, just eating is so boring, how about we play Truth or Dare? We'll spin the bottle, and whoever it points to has to drink a glass, then choose truth or dare, okay?"
Upon hearing this, Jiang Che knew that Sunny had come with ill intentions, so he immediately grabbed the wine bottle, his face full of sincerity:
"Great! I love this one! I'll spin the bottle!"
Sunny was about to say "I'll do it" when Jiang Che flicked his wrist, and the bottle started spinning rapidly on the table.
Then, to Sunny's incredulous gaze, the bottle spout seemed to have a GPS device attached, steadily pointing at her.
Sunny: "..." Luck, I guess?
"Unnie, let's drink! Truth or dare?"
“…The truth.”
In the second round, Jiang Che will switch again.
The bottle opening once again precisely locked onto Sunny.
Sunny's lips twitched: "A... a big adventure."
The third round, the bottle opening... still sunny.
The fourth round...sunny.
Round …
Sunny was practically spitting blood; this was utterly illogical! Even though she could drink a lot, she couldn't handle this much. Seeing that the two people opposite her hadn't even drunk a drop, while she'd almost finished half a bottle...
She stared at Jiang Che's seemingly harmless smile, and finally couldn't bear it any longer:
"Hey! Yoona! Are you cheating?! No way, let me spin!"
Taeyeon, who was watching intently, cast an admiring glance at Kang Cheol. When she heard Sunny about to break the rules, she immediately grabbed Kang Cheol's arm protectively.
"Ani! Why?! Yoona was spinning perfectly fine! Two against one, rejection!"
sunny: "???"
Forced by public opinion, Sunny had no choice but to continue being targeted and manipulated, leaving her questioning her very existence.
Unwilling to give up, she immediately switched to the next game:
“369!玩369!数字里带3、6、9的拍桌子!反应慢或者拍错的喝酒!这个全凭反应,够公平!”
Jiang Che raised an eyebrow, smiling but saying nothing.
Then, Sunny witnessed what a gaming demon king really was.
No matter how complex the numbers or how fast the pace, Jiang Che's reactions were superhuman. His timing in slamming the table was always impeccable; he never made a mistake. After several rounds...
Jiang Che did not make a mistake this time. Taeyeon's face was flushed from drinking, her eyes were glazed, and she leaned softly on Jiang Che's shoulder.
Sunny herself had drunk quite a bit, and her head was spinning; she was still struggling.
"Shake...shake the dice! Compare sizes!"
Jiang Che picked up the dice cup and flicked his wrist a few times:
It slammed down on the table with a "thud".
Opening the pot – 5 o'clock.
Shake again—6 o'clock.
Shaking again—5 o'clock.
Sunny looked at the 1, 2, and 3 points she had drawn and felt like punching someone!
She's no longer just suspecting Jiang Che of cheating; she's certain he's cheated—but she can't find any evidence. She refuses to believe she can't win at any game!
"Rock, paper, scissors! This is purely based on luck!"
then……
"Rock-paper-scissors!"
Jiang Che won.
"Rock-paper-scissors!"
Jiang Che won.
"Rock-paper-scissors!"
...Jiang Che still won.
Sunny watched as she repeatedly chose paper, scissors, and rock, feeling as if she had met her nemesis and was being utterly defeated. She was almost at her wit's end from losing.
Finally, she stared blankly at the opposite side—Taeyeon was practically clinging to Kang Cheol, grinning foolishly at them; while Kang Cheol looked relaxed, even yawning slightly out of boredom.
Jiang Che looked at his two sisters, both completely drunk. 'Well, looks like these two won't be making it home tonight.'
He first painstakingly helped Sunny, whose eyes were glazed over and who was muttering "Impossible... Absolutely impossible...", to Yoona's bed and covered her with a blanket.
He then returned to the living room and looked at Kim Tae-yeon, who was slumped in a chair, her face flushed and her eyes wet as she looked at him. He sighed resignedly and bent down to pick her up.
Taeyeon was very light, curled up in his arms, her breath carrying a faint scent of alcohol and fruit. She unconsciously found a comfortable position and hummed softly.
Jiang Che carefully carried her into Yoona's room, intending to let her keep Sunny company. Just as he was about to put her down, Taeyeon groggily opened her eyes. Through her blurry vision, she saw Jiang Che's face so close to hers. She instinctively raised the corners of her mouth in a silly smile, muttering something incoherently. Then, she tilted her head back, pouting, and tried to get closer to Jiang Che's face.
Jiang Che was terrified and almost threw her out! Luckily, he reacted quickly and jerked his head to the side—
That kiss, tinged with the smell of alcohol, ultimately only lightly brushed against his jawline.
The soft touch swept over him, but it made Jiang Che's hair stand on end. He hurriedly glanced at Sunny next to him and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that her eyes were still closed.
He hurriedly and clumsily put Taeyeon on the bed, quickly wrapped her in a blanket like a silkworm cocoon, leaving only her little head sticking out.
Looking at the two short, powerful figures sleeping soundly on the bed, Jiang Che breathed a sigh of relief, thankful that he hadn't lost his skills from his previous life. Although he was exhausted, he was glad that tonight had finally passed smoothly.
After returning to the living room, I took out my phone and saw the message Yoona had sent earlier.
[How was it? Did you avoid giving yourself away?]
Looking at the time, it was more than an hour ago, right when he and Sunny were having their epic battle at the dinner table.
Jiang Che lazily typed a reply:
[I think I didn't give myself away; I took them both down.]
He thought Yoona had gone to bed early, but he was surprised to receive a reply to his message almost instantly.
【? ? ? 】
[What kind of knockout? Is it the kind I'm thinking of? You got Sunny unnie drunk too? Are you some kind of wine god? Wait a minute, I know my own body; my alcohol tolerance is nowhere near as good as Sunny unnie's. Did you use some underhanded methods?!]
Jiang Che smirked smugly:
[Tsk, why resort to such underhanded tactics? It's just basic stuff from my past life—a drinking game, I'm unbeatable.]
On the other end of the phone, Lin Yoona, lying on her own bed, saw the words "past life" and "drinking games" and immediately thought of the club experiences this guy had mentioned before. For some reason, she felt inexplicably irritated, and her face darkened.
[Oh, goodbye. Remember to call me when they leave tomorrow. (Indifferent.jpg)]
Jiang Che: "???"
He stared at the conversation on the screen, which had ended abruptly without any hesitation, and chuckled to himself. What's wrong with this woman? Why is she suddenly throwing a tantrum?
He shook his head, tossed his phone aside, went back to his room, found a comfortable position, and drifted off to sleep.
The next morning, his biological clock woke Jiang Che right on time. After getting up, he tiptoed to the door of the master bedroom and listened—it was completely quiet inside.
After considering the two short people inside, I washed up and went into the kitchen to get busy.
The sizzling sound of frying eggs, the aroma of toasting bread, the bubbling of milk heating up, and a pot of hangover soup simmering quietly... the warm fragrance gradually filled the entire apartment.
In the master bedroom, Kim Tae-yeon woke up first. A headache from the hangover made her frown, rub her eyes, and sit up.
Looking around—it was Yoona's room, and Sunny was lying sprawled out next to her, drooling in her sleep. She carefully got out of bed.
She pushed open the door and walked into the living room, where she saw Jiang Che's busy figure in the kitchen. The morning light shone through the window, casting a soft halo around him, making him look peaceful and beautiful.
Taeyeon leaned against the doorframe, a gentle smile unconsciously curving her lips. A thought quietly surfaced in a corner of her mind: if every morning could be like this… it seemed wonderful.
But the next second, she suddenly realized—this was Yoona's alternate personality, destined not to be together. And so, the smile that had just appeared on her lips silently faded away.
Just then, Sunny, with messy hair and yawning, came out of the bedroom and saw Taeyeon staring blankly in the direction of the kitchen. Following her gaze, she saw Kang Cheol in the kitchen and instantly snapped out of it, becoming much more alert.
"Hey! Kim Taeyeon! What are you spacing out for! Have you washed up yet?" Sunny whispered, rushing forward and shoving Taeyeon into the bathroom.
"If you haven't washed up yet, hurry up and wash up! Wake up!"
"Oh, oh..." Taeyeon stumbled as she was pushed, responding but her eyes kept glancing towards the kitchen.
After Sunny shoved her into the bathroom, she turned around and poked her head out again, shouting towards the kitchen:
"Yoona! Do you have a new toothbrush?"
Jiang Che didn't even turn his head, busy setting the fried egg:
"Unnie, look in the drawer under the sink."
“OK!” Sunny squatted down, opened the drawer, and rummaged through it. Sure enough, she saw several unopened toothbrushes. Just as she was about to take them out, her eyes were drawn to a box in the corner. The front of the box clearly showed a picture of a razor.
Sunny was a little incredulous. She took it out and examined it closely. It was brand new and still unopened—a razor! Taeyeon, who was next to her, also widened her eyes in disbelief.
Sunny's mind went blank for a moment, a barrage of guesses flashing through her head. She abruptly turned to look at the slender figure in the kitchen, then looked down incredulously at the box in her hand.
How did this thing end up in Yoona's drawer?!
Holding the hot potato, she walked to the kitchen doorway, shook the box in her hand, and tried to make her tone sound like a casual question:
"Yoona, what's this in your house...? Could it be... you're secretly hiding a man?"
Jiang Che looked up at the sound and immediately saw the box in Sunny's hand.
"Damn, why doesn't Yoona go to heaven? She bought him a razor without telling him? What a terrible teammate!"
His brain was working at full speed, but he maintained a calm facade, looking at Sunny with an expression as if she were an idiot, and said with a wry smile:
"Unnie! What are you thinking! This is a gift I prepared for Dad. I thought I had lost it... Now that you've found it, don't put it back, so you won't lose it again next time."
He spoke with great confidence and conviction.
Sunny felt something was off, but the explanation sounded reasonable:
"Oh...oh...I see." She replied dryly, and silently placed the box on the coffee table in the living room.
However, Taeyeon, who was standing to the side, listened to this excuse but remained silent, seemingly lost in thought.
After the two short people finished washing up, they sat down at the dining table. Sunny picked up a spoon with some skepticism, scooped up a spoonful of hangover soup, and put it in her mouth. The moment the warm, fragrant soup slid down her throat, her eyes lit up:
Wow! Yoona, your hangover soup is amazing! The taste is just right!
I took another bite of the fried egg; the edges were slightly charred while the inside was runny—the cooking time was just right.
I couldn't help but look up and scrutinize Jiang Che:
"Yoona, when did you secretly hone your cooking skills? Your level has improved by leaps and bounds!"
Jiang Che was drinking milk with his head down when he heard this and almost choked. He glanced silently at the ordinary fried egg, toast, and milk on his plate and muttered to himself:
'Aside from making hangover soup, which requires some skill, aren't all the other dishes something anyone can make with their hands?'
But on the surface, he remained calm and casually gave a perfunctory reply:
"This is easy to learn. You can learn it by watching a few videos. It's not a difficult cooking skill."
