Chapter 34 Crash
Yoona glanced quickly at Taeyeon, who was completely oblivious and as quiet as a chicken beside her, forcibly suppressing the urge to strangle Kang Cheol immediately, and using all her acting skills to steady her voice.

Speaking to Lee Kwang-soo, who was still in shock on the other end of the line, she tried to explain naturally, "Huh? Oh! I asked her to come to my place and get something for me!"

She spoke rapidly, quickly changing the subject: "So, Kwangsoo oppa, what did you want to see me about? Why the rush?"

Hearing this, Lee Kwang-soo looked at Kang Cheol in front of him. Although he still had doubts about Taeyeon not opening the door, who knew if the girl was inconvenienced? The important thing was that he had finally contacted Yoona.

"Oh! Right, right! It's important!" Lee Kwang-soo slapped his forehead and excitedly said into his phone, "Yoona! The 'Running Man' PD team knows you've been generating a lot of buzz lately. That radio episode was absolutely amazing! It's all over the trending topics!"

So they really wanted to invite you to record an episode! But they heard you're too popular and your schedule is too full to book, so knowing I live downstairs from you, they asked me to try and use my connections to see if I could get you, this big shot, to come and ask! How about it? Give Oppa a break, okay?

"RM?" Yoona's heart skipped a beat. She subconsciously looked at her bag—inside was the RM invitation letter that her manager had given her that morning, along with a friendly reminder: "Yoona, this episode's planning... is said to be super scary. Think it over carefully."

So she declined without hesitation, citing her busy schedule.

“But now the PD personally asked someone to come to the door and even had Kwang-soo oppa come to play the friendship card.” Yoona began to struggle internally. “When we were filming before, RM really helped Girls’ Generation a lot. Thinking about all this, I just can’t bring myself to refuse.”

Just as Yoona was biting her lower lip, two little voices were arguing wildly in her head. One was telling her not to go and die, while the other was talking about the camaraderie between the oppas. She unconsciously looked up and her eyes met Taeyeon's gaze.

Yoona, as if struck by a sudden thought, smiled sweetly and spoke into the phone, her voice rising abruptly:
"I accept! I have to give Oppa face! How can I refuse an invitation from Running Man! Just let my manager know when the time is set!"

Lee Kwang-soo on the other end of the phone was overjoyed:

"Wow! Really?! That's great, Yoona, you're so loyal!" He could almost see the PD praising his abilities.

Don't worry, I'll talk to the PD right away, and your agent will coordinate the specific time later! Everything will be arranged perfectly!

"Mmm, it's no big deal, Oppa." Yoona's voice on the other end of the phone sounded relaxed and cheerful.

"Okay! It's settled then!" Lee Kwang-soo felt that today's trip was well worth it. He glanced at the well-behaved Yeon next to him, and his mind started working again.

"Yoona, you go ahead with your work. I just ran into Taeyeon, I'll talk to her for a bit!" Lee Kwang-soo said naturally as he was about to end the call.

"Huh? Wait..." Yoona's words, "Wait a minute!" were cut short by Lee Kwang-soo's cheerful farewell over the phone.

"I'm hanging up now, I'll contact you later." Then came the busy tone of "beep beep beep..."

Yoona: "..."

She felt a throbbing pain in her temples and hoped that Jiang Che could control himself and not cause any more trouble. Thinking of this, she was about to text Jiang Che when she saw that Taeyeon was still looking at her and asked in confusion, "Taeyeon unnie, is something wrong?"

"Was that Kwangsoo oppa on the phone just now? He wanted to see you... for the recording of 'Running Man'?" Taeyeon's voice came through.

Hearing this, Yoona felt a little flustered: "She heard it? How much did she hear? Did she hear Lee Kwang-soo call Taeyeon? Probably not, since it was just one sentence?"

"Ah...yes, yes." Yoona forced herself to relax, making her voice sound natural and casual. "Kwangsoo oppa said the PD really wanted me to go, and he even came to my house in person. I couldn't refuse his kindness, so...I agreed." "Oh—" Taeyeon drawled out the last syllable, her eyes lingering on Yoona as if she were lost in thought, before continuing:

“Jae-seok oppa contacted me today, and I answered the call.”

"You answered it too?!" Yoona's voice instantly rose an octave.

Taeyeon was a little startled, but her eyes returned to normal, and she said in a relaxed tone:
“Yes, Jae-seok oppa called me directly and said there was a special segment in this episode and he hoped I could participate, so I agreed.”

When Yoona thought about the planning for this episode, she felt that Kim Taeyeon was really brave, and her tone was full of disbelief: "Taeyeon unnie, you...you don't know about the planning for this episode?"

Taeyeon tilted her head blankly, a slightly expectant expression on her face:

"Plan? What plan? Jae-seok oppa said it was a pretty interesting project and told me I definitely had to come and participate, but he didn't say anything specific."

"What's wrong, Yoona? Do you know anything?" Her eyes were full of curiosity.

Yoona smirked, "I thought Lee Kwang-soo was bad enough, but I never expected there's always someone even worse."

Looking at Taeyeon's completely unaware, even somewhat expectant expression, she felt a complex mix of emotions. Instinctively, she wanted to tell Taeyeon the truth, but then she remembered the multiple-choice question that the old man had asked her earlier.

Yoona instantly transformed into an obedient Yoona, shaking her head vigorously like a rattle-drum, her eyes filled with sincerity:

"Ani ani! I don't know either! Kwangsoo oppa didn't explain it to me in detail either, he just said it's a new segment, and I'm really looking forward to it!"

"Oh?" Taeyeon blinked, clearly accepting Yoona's answer. "Alright, we'll find out when we get there anyway. Jae-seok oppa wouldn't mess with us, would he?"

Upon hearing this, Yoona could barely maintain her well-behaved expression, but she still happily said:

"Mmm, it'll definitely be fun!"

"But Taeyeon unnie is going too, which means she'll run into Kang Cheol again. What if she finds out something?" Yoona thought to herself, feeling a little conflicted. She looked up at Taeyeon unnie, who was still watching her.

Two little voices were fighting in my head. One punched me and said, "What if you go and find out something?" The other punched me back and said, "Just keep denying it. Are you really going to go on this episode of Running Man?"
One retorted, "How do you explain that you found out?!" The other retorted, "Are you really going to be on this episode of Running Man?" Well, the first little guy got beaten to death.

After making the decision happily, Yoona felt a huge weight lifted from her heart, and even Taeyeon unnie, who was watching her next to her, seemed much more pleasing to the eye.
She was now ready to contact that audacious guy in her family right away and ask him who gave him the courage to open the door! Liang Jingru, huh!
Her fingers were frantically tapping on her phone, so hard they almost pierced the screen:

Yoona: [Kang Cheol, you're dead! Who told you to open the door? Huh? Do you even know who he is before you open the door? His name is Lee Kwang-soo, don't get the name wrong!]
The moment the message was sent, Yoona inexplicably felt her anger subside a little, and her fingers flew across the screen again:

Yoona (continuously): [Couldn't you have pretended no one was home? Now look what's happened! What if he starts talking to Taeyeon later?! And he's chatting with you, don't say anything out of line, you hear me?!]
Seeing that Jiang Che hadn't replied to her messages, Yoona scratched her hair in frustration, her temper starting to rise again.

Meanwhile, Kang Cheol was still chatting with Lee Kwang-soo, mostly passively. Let's go back to after Lee Kwang-soo hung up the phone.
