Chapter 95, Section 94: Reincarnation and Metamorphosis
"Sheen, where did you get all these books from..."

Justin watched as Sheehan emerged from the locker room carrying a stack of books, and his hands moved faster than he could think, quickly helping to take a few of them away.

"Um……"

Sheen imagined the scene inside the locker room.

Fred took out a book called "An Easy Introduction to Ancient Runes" from the closet where the clothes were kept, George pulled out a "Runes Dictionary" from where the brooms were kept, and even a "Magic Phonetic Chart" was tucked into the corner...

It's hard to imagine how Mrs. Pince would feel if she saw these scenes...

"These are all introductory books in ancient runes—"

George shrugged.

"If you want to learn alchemy, you must first understand these things..."

Fred then threw a book called "The Magic Symbols" at Sheehan.

"But you have to remember to pay it back."

"The book has a return date."

"Write Fred's name on it."

"—And of course, George!"

Outside the locker room, facing Justin's curious question, Sheehan, knowing it would be difficult to describe the chaotic scene, summarized it in one sentence:
"They were given to me by two senior students."

Justin didn't ask any further questions. He just curiously examined the books, which looked very old. Even with the thoughtful care of the librarian, Mrs. Pince, the pages were still yellowed and some parts were even fragile.

Hermione took a book from Justin's hand; the words "An Easy Introduction to Ancient Runes" piqued her interest.

Sheen, carrying the "Magic Phonetic Chart," walked toward the castle amidst the clamor of the Quidditch pitch.

His guess was correct; alchemical creations always seemed to be engraved with spells in ancient runes, which seemed to naturally possess the ability to carry more magic.

To understand the complex, precise, and profound craftsmanship involved, the first step is to learn the ancient runes.

Students in their third year and above can take this course at Hogwarts, and it is taught by Professor Bathsheda Babling. Hermione took the course in her third year and did well.

Reading these books in between studying spells and transfiguration might be a good option.

Sheen thought.

The weekend passed quickly.
Sheen was also used to flying all the way from outside the castle to Ravenclaw Tower.

Michael was so exhausted he almost collapsed on the seemingly endless staircase. As he habitually searched for Sheen's figure on the stairs...
A strong gust of wind swept by, and then Michael saw Sheen gracefully descend to the top of Ravenclaw Tower.

His appearance caused gasps of surprise, especially when the Ravenclaws saw his youthful and handsome face.

"This is... a first-year wizard?"

"I just heard yesterday that a young wizard passed the flight test, could it be..."

"How could it be Sheen? I must be seeing things. He can barely even climb stairs..."

Michael was still trying to convince himself, but when he saw the Nimbus 2000 stored in his dorm room, he had so much to say that he didn't know how to organize his thoughts.

In the end, it all turned into:
"Teach me—Sheen. Please, I really want to learn this."

……

Climbing stairs was no longer a problem for Sheen, and he spent more time on transfiguration, spells, and potions.

Inside the Transfiguration classroom.

"Today we are going to learn how to transform ourselves into 'living things,' which is more difficult than simply making an object move. It requires more stringent skills, and any mistake could lead to any result."

Professor McGonagall was unusually stern. She opened Sheehan's paper and nodded with a hint of satisfaction.

"Then you should know that the easiest self-transformation is...?" "The animal that corresponds to the transformation, Professor."

Sheen replied.

He had already written this point in his paper:
In many Celtic, Scandinavian, and Germanic legends, there is a direct connection between humans and certain animals.

These otherworldly beings typically "choose to become someone's guardian avatar, accompanying them," symbolizing "human destiny, possessing both human and animal forms."

If Sheen's guess is correct, wizards naturally possess unique forms, the most prominent being the Animagus.

For example, James Potter's reincarnation is a stag, which is reflected not only in his Patronus Charm but also in his Animagus.

Since the Animagus is the final form of the "self" transformation, it is always easier to conform to the transformation of the self.

"very good."

Professor McGonagall nodded, then handed Sheehan a book that described various animal reincarnations.

He kept flipping through the book until he left the Transfiguration classroom.

If he can find his easiest form of self-transformation, does that also mean that he has found his Animagus?
However, without an expert-level Transfiguration skill, attempting this is definitely not advisable.

So, Sheen naturally put the liver deformity surgery on the agenda.

In a week,
Justin, Hermione, and Neville often see wild boars running around in the classroom, or a beautifully groomed cat licking its paws.

Sometimes even tables sprout two legs. Stools are unreliable either, as they might transform into steam-breathing turtles at any moment.

Fortunately, Sheen always used his Transfiguration spell on his area, otherwise Justin would have no idea how much of his pot-shaped cake the wild boar had stolen.

On a cold but sunny Thursday.

Sheen heard the notification sound from the panel:
[You have practiced an advanced intermediate Transfiguration spell to a proficient standard, proficiency +50]

A new title in the Transfiguration realm has been unlocked. Please check it out.

At this point, his Proficiency in Transfiguration had exceeded 9000. Sheen opened the panel with anticipation:

[Title: Master of Transfiguration]

[Significantly enhances perception of Transfiguration, significantly enhances Transfiguration talent, and significantly enhances the unique ability to perceive the Transfiguration realm from non-magical to magical.]

A unique perception that transcends non-magical and magical abilities?

Sheen naturally thought of the transformation of "objects" into "magic" in advanced transmutation.

A prime example is how Headmaster Dumbledore turned a pool of water into a water prison during the Battle of the Ministry of Magic, trapping Voldemort inside.

The pool here is no longer just a simple flow of water; to be more precise, it is a water prison of magic.

This is enough to demonstrate the power of this advanced transformation technique.

Before verifying his improved talent, Sheen packed up his belongings.

Because today is Thursday, every day after Thursday, Sheen needs to go to the cellar to brew potions.

The torches in the stone corridor flickered, casting swaying shadows.

The temperature dropped significantly, and even the breath we exhaled condensed into white mist.

Sheen saw the somewhat dark wooden door, and when he pushed it open, a damp, musty smell and the aroma of potion ingredients hit him.

The fatigue from using the modified ritual had subsided, and Sheen was ready to complete his unfinished task—investigating the effects of a wizard's emotions on potions.

Well, if Professor Snape allows him to make changes.
