Chapter 52: The Professor Arrives
Chapter 52: The Professor Arrives
"What a beautiful levitation spell."
The short, stout Ernie stared intently at the swirling feathers.
As someone born into a pure-blood wizarding family, he certainly knew the skills required, especially for a wizard who had never been exposed to magic before.
"If it's that Mr. Green... wait, why is it Finley?!"
When Hannah moved her braided hair away from the back of her head, Ernie recognized the little badger by following Professor Flitwick's voice.
"Merlin's beard, Finley took a lesson... didn't it still not have the ability to float feathers?"
This was not only his question, but also the question of the young wizards around him.
Especially for Hufflepuffs who know Justin well, it's like their poor friend suddenly revealing that he's a rich kid.
"So it seems you didn't waste that classroom, did you?"
Professor Flitwick descended the bookshelf, walked up to Justin, and with a hint of satisfaction, put away his wand.
"I think I need to take a look... but not now—Hedgehog three!"
……
As soon as get out of class ends,
Justin was surrounded by enthusiastic badger cubs.
"Oh, how did you do that, Mr. Finley?"
The speaker was Hannah, who had freckles on her face and was somewhat shy.
"Really... Finley, you've made such great progress and you kept it from us!"
Ernie crossed his arms and held his chin high.
“I think we have to punish you, you little wizard who betrayed the ‘Never Go Hungry’ club, unless you tell us how you did it.”
His words elicited nods from the group of badger cubs, at least six of them glaring menacingly at Justin.
Sheen glanced at the noisy crowd, then picked up his book and left the classroom. The brownish-yellow book was "Standard Spells: Beginner".
If Professor Flitwick were to come to their classroom
Sheen thought,
So, could I find a suitable opportunity to express my desire to learn the Smoke Spell and the Repel Spell?
At the same time, Sheen knew...
Professors are usually very busy, and individual teaching and guidance are not common occurrences.
Only for their prized students—like Hermione later on,
She often gets firsthand information about the exams, and even exclusive scoops, from Professor Flitwick.
Right now, Sheen isn't sure if he's qualified.
The Spells classroom was packed with badgers, while outside, a lazy evening breeze blew once again.
Friday's leisurely pace always seems like a warm spell, enveloping this ancient castle.
In the corridor, several Hufflepuff students leaned against the windowsill, watching the Black Lake ripple like golden scales in the setting sun.
Their laughter became soft, like floating dandelions.
A suit of armor in the corner shook off the dust and made a slight metallic scraping sound.
Beside the armor, compared to Justin's popularity, few dared to approach Sheen.
Apart from--
"That levitation charm was really cool! I bet it has something to do with you, right, Sheen?"
Michael emerged from behind an unexpected portrait, revealing a deep secret passage behind it.
"Oh, but you don't need to tell me. I think this will be an interesting exploration! Much more interesting than the castle's secret passages and strange magical artifacts!"
After saying that, his eyes lit up, and he disappeared in a few seconds with lightning speed.
Sheen was left behind, having heard nothing clearly.
Was someone just speaking?
Sheen had just closed "Standard Spells: Beginner" when he silently opened it again.
Go up the spiral staircase all the way,
Sheen woke the sleeping Mr. Owl with a steady knocking sound.
It seems a little excited today:
"Little wizard! Clever little wizard, answer my question!"
Sheen waited silently.
"Simple questions, difficult questions... I once observed a swindler whose inner desire was to be admired, to be noticed, and to be the center of attention; his wisdom helped him achieve this."
I once observed a rogue whose inner desire was to stir up trouble and create chaos through words, and her wisdom enabled her to do so.
Their wisdom always follows only their own hearts…
Mr. Owl, clutching a parchment scroll at his feet, kept circling within the portrait.
"Oh, please tell me, is that wisdom or madness?"
Sheen thought for a few seconds:
"He's an idiot."
Mr. Owl stood there, stunned, relentlessly examining the parchment until he slowly stiffened, but his beak never stopped beating:
“Little wizard, greedy little wizard! Ambitious little wizard! It really is Lady Ravenclaw…”
Its last words were no longer audible, and at the same time, a sky-blue gate slowly appeared.
Sheen opened the door as he pondered.
Ambitious?
Actually not.
greedy?
Sheehan believes this is blatant bias.
In the classroom,
Three magic lanterns emitted a warm, arcing light, and the three chairs were covered with soft, comfortable black and yellow cushions.
In the very center, a small, cream-colored, plush sofa rested against a small wooden table.
Scattered on the log were many gummy candies and cookies, but of course, there were most of all kinds of puddings—
Yorkshire pudding, strawberry mochi pudding, mint pudding, and even hot sauce pudding...
Justin was handing Hermione a glass of pumpkin soda on the sofa. The little witch took it instinctively, looking somewhat dazed.
In conclusion,
In just a few days, a little badger transformed the place into a veritable secret base.
Yes, that hardworking badger is Justin.
Justin?!
Sheen was somewhat surprised; wasn't he surrounded?
“Oh, Sheen, we need to discuss this…”
Sheehan had just arrived at the sofa when Justin strode over, and Hermione didn’t even notice that someone had left her side.
“Did you see that? I mean Hermione, she’s definitely hiding something from us…”
Just then, there was a series of knocks on the sky-blue door.
A paper airplane drifted in through the crack in the door, then transformed into several glowing words:
Are you there, kids?
"Oh! It's Professor Flitwick!"
"—Professor Flitwick!"
Hermione's sudden reaction startled Justin.
Seeing Justin's hesitant expression, Sheen silently walked over and opened the door.
Meanwhile, Justin sat down next to Hermione with a hint of worry:
"If you want to speak, then we're always listening, no matter when—"
My mother said, "That's the meaning of friendship."
Hermione slowly raised her head and met his gaze for a few seconds into those sincere, just-rightly concerned light gray eyes:
"Okay, I was so stupid, how could I forget about you guys..."
Her voice regained its former strength.
"Oh, children?"
Professor Flitwick was only heard of, but never seen.
Just as he was about to smile, Justin was now somewhat confused.
He dared not speak, so he could only look to Sheen for help.
Suddenly, several books appeared out of thin air, fell to the ground, and slowly grew larger, revealing Professor Flitwick's figure from behind the sofa:
"Mr. Finley, that's good progress. And Mr. Green, Ms. Granger?"
