Chapter 21: Intermediate Transfiguration

Chapter 21: Intermediate Transfiguration
"Learning Transfiguration requires extremely diligent effort because it is more rigorous and scientific than other disciplines."

In transfiguration, success is only achieved when everything is done perfectly.

Professor McGonagall stepped down from the podium and tapped Harry's book.

"Now please turn to page five of your textbook."

I will repeat the above content again:

When transforming, it is important to swing the wand firmly and decisively.

Do not swing or turn the wand unnecessarily, otherwise the transformation will definitely fail.

Before using a Transfiguration Charm, clearly visualize in your mind what you want the target to become…

Professor McGonagall explained two key points in a row. After introducing a counter-curse called "Restore to Form,"
She then had the young wizards turn the matches on their table into silver needles.

The young wizards eagerly began to try, but few succeeded.

Even though they changed their gestures and chanted the incantations in various ways, the match remained unchanged.

This left them scratching their heads and frowning.

Hermione, however, kept her eyes fixed on Sheehan.

Sheen's eyes flickered.

He was recalling and thinking.

Transfiguration
Known as the magic that best embodies the will of a wizard,

Its existence perfectly illustrates a principle—

magic,

It is a miracle in itself.

And wizards,
They are the gods who control miracles.

All you need is a clear intention, a firm belief, and sufficient mental strength.

Even a first-year wizard can alter an object itself.

...I know the structure of a match and I am confident that I can succeed.

Sheen thought.

Perhaps I can gain a deeper understanding of the structure of a match, or perhaps it will give me more confidence.

but……

I'm more curious about something else.

The things mentioned in "The Theory of Magic".

When you master a spell, you need sufficient mental strength to truly unleash its full power.

If the emotion behind releasing the glow spell is a longing for light,
So what emotions are needed to unleash the Transfiguration?
"It's an order,"

Sheen said,
"I am God."

Transfiguration!

The tip of Sheen's wand burst forth with light, and the match instantly transformed into a silver needle, its tip gleaming coldly, with a small hole appearing at its end.

This scene immediately attracted the attention of the young wizards.

"My God! He did it!"

"How did he do that?!"

"Who is it? Who is it? Sheen... Ah?!"

Beside Sheen,

Hermione's mouth dropped open; she was certain she hadn't missed a single detail.

But why is it that when both Sheen and Sheen wave their wands and chant spells, Sheen succeeds?
“Mr. Green…”

Professor McGonagall strode over, her eyes fixed on the silver needles, a relieved and relaxed smile on her face.

Just as she was about to speak, her expression changed slightly.
"Get away from Mr. Green, immediately!"

Her stern rebuke caused the young wizards watching to scatter immediately.

Sheen paid no attention to what was happening around him; his gaze was focused and resolute.

"I can do even more,"

Sheen said to himself.

"Trans—figura—tion!"

With a forceful flick of his wand

The mouse in the cage next to Sheen had somehow turned into a snuff bottle, though not entirely successfully—the mouse's tail was still moving.

But this also elicited a unified "Wow!" from the young wizards.

Mr. Green,

Professor McGonagall's eyelids trembled slightly, and her serious voice changed tone.
"A disturbing talent..."

She paused, then noticed that a somewhat exhausted Sheen was glancing over shyly and cautiously.

Then her tightly pursed lips softened, and a genuine joy appeared in her eyes. A reassuring holder.

"Transfiguration beyond the expected level! For your performance, Mr. Green, I'm adding ten points to Ravenclaw's tally!"

Professor McGonagall smiled with satisfaction.

"awesome!"

Michael swung his arm and, in doing so, pocketed Terry's matches from the desk in front of him.

Before Terry could even get angry, he heard Michael say:

"Look at Sheen's transformation! Terry, Ravenclaw gets ten points!"

Terry stared at Sheen for a moment, then smiled shyly.

Michael chuckled to himself while holding a match, which made Anthony, who was leading the applause, shake his head slightly.

……

Before get out of class ended, with his energy somewhat restored, Sheen continued grinding for proficiency.

Exhausted once again, Sheen glanced at the panel, panting:

Transfiguration: Apprentice Level (113/900)

[Advanced: Beginner-level Transformation, unlocks beginner-level titles in the Transformation field]

Progress is rapid.

I truly deserve my pale purple talent.

Although Sheen was eager to see what the entry-level title was, his immediate priority was to reach the level where he could brew potions.

This means he at least needs to figure out how to process the potion ingredients.

Only through practice can one develop proficiency in liver function.

"Where are my matches?!"

Before get out of class ended, Sheen heard Terry, who was usually shy and quiet, let out a small shout.
Michael then dashed out of the classroom like the wind.

As I passed by Sheen, I took the time to say, "Sheen is amazing."

Sheen glanced at Terry, who was chasing after him, and chuckled softly.
They headed towards the greenhouse.

The corridor in front of the greenhouse

Sheen saw a familiar figure.

"Senior Bruce."

Sheen walked over quickly.

"Ah, Sheen."

Bruce smiled gently.
"Shall we go to the greenhouse together?"

"Ah."

Sheen responded, and the two walked together down the corridor.

Sunlight streamed in, bathing Hogwarts Castle in warmth.

The long corridor was filled with the leaning shadows of armor and statues, and the portraits seemed to be visiting each other.
Sheen looked at a lady with some curiosity, but she turned her head away, ignoring the knight who approached.

Do you know why Professor Sprout deals with things like snake fangs?

Bruce raised an eyebrow and said.

"For brewing potions for the new students?"

Sheen shared his guess.

“I can understand why you were assigned to Ravenclaw…”

Bruce, the senior student, helplessly shrugged.

"Then you can probably guess what we're going to do today?"

Sheen thought for a moment and said, "I don't know."

"Aha!"

Bruce gave him a look that said, "Finally, there's something you don't know."

"It's about dealing with slugs, both those with antennae and those without."

There are also porcupine quills; if things go quickly, we can finish them today.

Sheen nodded, a sense of anticipation rising within him.

If I can learn how to process all these materials today, I will be able to complete the first step of preparation.

Cherishing this joy,

Sheen pushed open the wooden door of the greenhouse.
