Ultraman: Invincible from Saving Tiga.

Chapter 10 is so sinister, so incredibly sinister.

Chapter 10 is so sinister, so incredibly sinister.
Inside the Victory Team's meeting room.

Lucia's dim eyes swept over everyone present, her voice carrying the flatness characteristic of a metal translator, yet unable to conceal the despair in her words: "We are the Mulan aliens, a civilization that once lived alongside the Muzhen aliens. But they... they bought powerful monster weapons from cosmic merchants, destroyed our homes, and turned the survivors into slaves."

"Slavery?"

Shinjo suddenly stood up, his face full of disbelief. "You're already a space civilization capable of interstellar travel, how come you're still doing such backward things? Isn't this a regression of civilization?"

He couldn't understand why such a barbaric system would still exist given the level of technological advancement.

Ye Rui, who looked rather young and was constantly operating a portable computer, scratched his head and calmly said, "Captain, based on the preliminary model of cosmic social behavior I have established, if Miss Lucia's description is true, then the rules of the universe may very well follow a 'dark forest' law."

The existence of such a thing in the Ultraman universe is indeed counterintuitive. With an invincible giant of light already, the cosmic mafia is not just for show. How could anyone dare to create something like this?
But if the universe is truly peaceful to the point where everyone is happy, then why is the Land of Light running all over the universe? They even complain that their hundreds of thousands of guards aren't enough!
Leaving aside the fact that Director Sawai was kidnapped by aliens twice, there were countless other incidents, such as the Raichuran aliens suddenly trying to blow up the Delta Space Station, Lucia and others being killed as playthings, the Crow People kidnapping people indiscriminately, the Dinosaur People leaving Earth with two exploding neutron star dinosaurs, Maya's planet being blown up, and the kidnapping of Lina's Big Head Son.

There are even more heavyweight aliens like Jack, Seven, and Leo. Isn't this definitely a dark forest?
This led to the Friendship Project (putting weapons at the aliens' doorstep) being brought up at one point.

Since you enjoy aggression so much, you must be prepared to be invaded as well, right?
See this R1 bomb? Bark like a dog again, huh?! (New City face)
Therefore, the GUTS team had long been prepared for the existence of aliens. Nori pulled up a complex diagram and projected it onto the conference room screen: "Under this law, every civilization must do its utmost to develop its military in order to protect itself, because any weak civilization that exposes its coordinates may face the risk of being invaded and destroyed by a more powerful civilization. At the same time, a planet's development of its military will also stimulate its neighboring planets to purchase new military equipment to prevent being invaded, or... simply choose to preemptively invade others."

What kind of blood-vomiting marathon is this?
Seven Seven wasn't lying to me, Lin Yu clicked his tongue and suddenly felt that worshipping Seven wasn't such a bad thing.

"Huh? Holy crap!"

Horii's eyes widened, and he slammed his hand on the table. "How can aliens be so evil! How are we, a civilization that yearns for peace, supposed to survive?!"

Just as the atmosphere in the conference room grew increasingly oppressive due to the cruel truth about the universe, the heavy metal door slid open silently, and a middle-aged man with a serious face and sharp eyes, dressed in the uniform of a senior TPC officer, walked in.

He was of medium build, exuding an imposing presence without being angry. He was none other than Staff Officer Gondo, a hawkish figure known for his tough stance within TPC.

Staff Officer Gondo's gaze swept across the people in the conference room like a hawk's, finally settling on Lucia and the equally silent male Mulan alien beside her.

His voice was deep: "Captain Ju, these two aliens are of unknown origin and are carrying unidentified equipment, posing a significant security risk. For the safety of Earth, they must come with us and undergo a full investigation."

Alarm bells rang in Lin Yu's mind.

Oh my god, Advisor Gondo!
How did this guy end up here?

He remembered that this guy was a complete troublemaker in the Ultraman Dyna TV series, single-mindedly trying to control the power of Ultraman, and even created something like an artificial Dyna. In the end, he was still fused with materials by Sfid and almost destroyed the Earth.

If he takes these two Mulan aliens away, they're likely in grave danger. They might actually be taken to do some kind of human experiments to study the physiological differences between aliens and Earthlings.

We shouldn't have too high expectations of the moral character of Japanese hawks. They brainwash themselves, saying it's for the future of humanity, but in reality, everything they do is aimed at killing humanity.

However, Megumi is very smart. She understands that at this crucial moment, she absolutely cannot be led by anyone.

She immediately stood up and said to Staff Officer Gondo with neither servility nor arrogance, "Staff Officer Gondo, the plight of these two alien visitors is worthy of sympathy. Director Sawai has also expressed great concern for them and instructed us to do our best to win their friendship and learn more about the universe. Until the Director gives any further instructions, the Victory Team will be responsible for their contact and protection."

"I think you haven't forgotten that the Victory Team's responsibilities include contacting and establishing diplomatic relations with aliens, have you?"

Staff Officer Gondo frowned, his sharp gaze sweeping between Kijima Megumi and Lin Yu, as if trying to discern something from Lin Yu, this "commoner advisor".

Although he was somewhat dissatisfied with Megumi bringing up Director Sawai, he couldn't openly defy her. He snorted coldly, "I hope Captain Megumi can handle this matter well and not cause unnecessary trouble for Earth because of momentary sentimentality."

Megumi: I'm the captain! Staff Officer Gondo: You'll regret this.jpg
After saying that, he gave Lin Yu a deep look, then turned and left the conference room.

Lin Yu cursed inwardly, "Holy crap! This is outrageous! Strategist Gondo from Dyna has somehow infiltrated Tiga's timeline? What if this guy suddenly gets a brain fart and decides to give me a photon skin rejuvenation treatment, create a clone of Tiga, and then shout 'The future of Earth is in the hands of Earthlings themselves,' only to destroy Earth in a few moves! Pure idiot, he's just making trouble!"

Megumi noticed that Lin Yu seemed a little distracted and assumed that he was worried about Earth's safety because of the tough attitude of Staff Officer Gondo and the space intelligence brought by Lucia.

She gently comforted him, "Mr. Lin Yu, there's no need to worry too much. We will do our best to protect the Earth."

Then he turned to Xincheng: "Xincheng, Mr. Lin Yu also experienced the chaos of the monster attack. Take him to the medical bureau for a full check-up to make sure there are no hidden injuries."

"Yes, Captain!"

The Xincheng team member responded and then gestured for Lin Yu to proceed.

Lin Yu nodded and followed Xincheng out of the conference room.

The medical department at TPC headquarters was filled with the smell of disinfectant.

Lin Yu lay on the cold examination bed, where various sophisticated medical instruments were scanning him.

A nurse walked in. She was tall and had a sweet face. She was Shinjo's younger sister, Mayumi.

She saw Lin Yu, nodded politely, and began preparing for the examination.

Soon, a doctor in a white coat came in and gave Lin Yu a thorough examination.

"Mr. Lin is in good health and there's nothing seriously wrong. He's just a little tired, probably because of his previous experience. I suggest you drink more hot water." After making this conclusion, the doctor left.

Mayumi packed up the equipment and was about to turn around and leave the ward.

Just as she was about to step out of the room, a tiny, almost imperceptible golden light flew out from Lin Yu's chest, as if drawn by an invisible force, and went straight into Mayumi's body.

Lin Yu was taken aback: "Huh? It can fly out by itself?"

Mayumi trembled almost imperceptibly, and stopped in her tracks.

She seemed to recall some distant and hazy memory, slowly turning her head. Her clear eyes held a hint of confusion and surprise, which finally turned into a delighted realization as she looked at Lin Yu on the hospital bed: "Lin Yu... Mr.?"

Lin Yu was also taken aback: "Huh? You...know me?"

Mayumi walked quickly to Lin Yu's bedside. Her eyes, which were originally slightly naive, were now much deeper, as if they contained experience and emotions beyond her years.

Lin Yu looked at her sudden change in demeanor, his expression shifted slightly, and he instantly understood what was going on.

"what?"

He exclaimed inwardly, "Is this what they call the light of humanity? What kind of longing transcends time and space! So there's a reason why 'Old Man Jia' has bound me so tightly!"

Humanity has become so cunning, how could the old man Jia, who receives the light of all humanity, be a simple character?
