Chapter 97 This is your Uncle Granger
I heard a voice that was both familiar and strangely unfamiliar beside me.

Lupin turned his head and saw Harry leading a smiling Severus to their side.

Hearing Severus address Lupin, Harry, who had been planning to reintroduce his teacher to "Mr. Peter," was momentarily stunned.

"Nephew? Lupin? Aren't you classmates or relatives?"

Lupin didn't know what expression to wear when facing Severus, especially after hearing how Severus addressed him.

"You two should sort out your own affairs. Now that I've confirmed your safety here, I have nothing to worry about. As for what you want to do next, I'll be waiting for you at home when you're done and want to go home. You can invite Robert over for a couple of drinks sometime."

His last words were addressed to Severus; after saying those words, old Lupin clearly wanted to leave.

Severus did not try to persuade him to stay, but gave him a final reminder before he left.

"Wessengamo should send you a letter in the next few days, Lyle! Don't forget to sign for it; it will be very important."

Old Lu Ping was somewhat puzzled.

"A letter from Wisengam?"

"Don't worry, it's a surprise. You'll find out when the time comes."

Only after old Lupin left did Severus look at Lupin again.

By this time, Lupin had adjusted his mindset slightly, and he calmly extended one of his hands to Severus.

"Long time no see. I heard you've changed a lot lately, completely different from before?"

Severus also extended his hand and shook hands with Lupin.

"Then let's get to know each other again. My name is Severus Snape, a friend of your father, Harry Potter's teacher, the former headmaster of Hogwarts, and currently an unemployed bum."

Hearing the other titles was fine, but when it came to "Harry Potter's teacher," Lupin, who had managed to calm down, became agitated again.

"No, I mean you brought James's son out as your student!"

Severus and Harry exchanged a glance, and he shrugged.

"How would I know? I can't read his mind."

"And what do you think!" Lupin pulled Severus aside, preventing Harry from hearing the question. "I don't believe that even if you've really changed this much, you still don't hate James anymore."

His question elicited only a cold laugh from Snape the Ghost, while Severus calmly watched him, about to say something, when Kingsley, who had already led his team to thoroughly clean up the scene, found them.

“Minister Bagno will probably thank you personally.” Kingsley, exhausted after a long day, said to Severus, “So much happened tonight. Director Barty Crouch has been brought back to the Ministry of Magic. His case hasn’t been made public yet, but the other directors and ministers in the ministry know the whole story.”

“They dare not keep this a secret, but if they do, they don’t know how much of a sensation it will cause in the magical world. It’s a good thing that we were able to capture this group of werewolves tonight. Knowing them as I do, the Daily Prophet will probably focus on reporting on the three of you to try and restore public confidence.” He then turned to look at Lupin, clearly not unfamiliar with the wandering werewolf.

"And you, Remus, will receive the same reward."

Lupin gave a wry smile.

"Could the Ministry of Magic exchange these honors for more compensation?"

“Don’t worry.” Kingsley patted him on the shoulder. “The department won’t treat you unfairly, and they won’t let you lose the reputation you deserve. Perhaps they don’t really want to vindicate a werewolf, but the situation is what it is, and they have to do it. You can’t refuse.”

After giving them a few more instructions and exchanging a few more words, Kingsley inevitably looked at Granger, who was holding Hermione and talking to her.

A troubled expression appeared on his face.

“I understand that your Muggle friend certainly played a very important role in finding the werewolf, but, Severus, you should understand how strict the Secret Act is.”

“Hermione’s a little wizard!” Harry couldn’t help but interject, because after what happened with Bloodny and Wolpe, he knew very well the seriousness of violating the Statute of Secrets.

Upon hearing this answer, Severus did not show any surprise, and Lupin was a witness to it firsthand. Only Kingsley seemed quite surprised.

“If that’s the case, then after the Ministry of Magic verifies with Hogwarts, there won’t be any problems. Moreover, given his Muggle status as a member of a wizarding family, he might be better positioned to cooperate with the Ministry’s next move.”

At this point, Kingsley rubbed his temples, looking troubled.

"Finally, not only the Ministry of Magic, but I personally am also very grateful to you. Gentlemen, although the matter with Crouch is not yet resolved, at least there is good news now. You should all get some rest tonight; the Ministry of Magic should contact you tomorrow."

After saying their final farewells, Kingsley, along with his Aurors, took the werewolves they had arrested, as well as the children whose parents were no longer with them, back to the Ministry of Magic.

Only Severus, Harry, Lupin, and Granger and his daughter remain at the scene.

"Won't they erase our memories?"

Clearly, after gaining some understanding of the magical world over the past two days, Granger had already guessed their final fate.

"Hermione will also become a wizard in the future; she has the talent to do so. As a family member of a wizard, you are not subject to the restrictions of the Secrets Act and have the right to know."

Granger listened to Severus's words with a look of astonishment. He turned to look at Hermione, his face showing both surprise and worry!

Severus saw what Granger was worried about and comforted him.

Granger didn't think about things that far ahead for the time being. He praised Hermione loudly and even spun her around in his arms.

Finally, he said goodbye to Severus and the others.

"We need to go back as soon as possible. Jane is still worried at home. We need to go back and tell her the good news!"

“Use Floo Network. The Ministry of Magic should have a node on the island. I can help temporarily connect your fireplace to the Floo network so you can go back directly.”

Granger readily accepted this offer.

Just as Severus was leading Harry and Granger on their way to the island to find a fireplace for the Ministry of Magic, he suddenly turned to look at Lupin, who was following them as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

Aren't you going home with Lyle?

We don't know what Lu Ping was thinking, but his expression was very calm.

"I haven't figured out some things yet, so I won't be separating from you for the time being."
