Snape, the Sunshine of Hogwarts.
Chapter 241 Extra 1
Chapter 241 Extra 1
Minister for Magic Millison Bagnore declared that Aurors are protectors of the people and are by no means worthless scoundrels who collude with dark wizards.
No matter how Nott, Crabbe, Selwyn, Goyle, and others pleaded in court that they were under the control of the Imperius Curse and committed their acts, the members of Wizengamo refused to listen to their explanations and ultimately sentenced them to life imprisonment in Azkaban.
[Then, a surprising turn of events occurred. Upon hearing the verdict, the criminals who had stormed Azkaban intending to break into the prison changed their stories on the spot and requested the chief judge to reveal their accomplices in order to mitigate their sentences.]
However, the names of Severus Snape and Lucius Malfoy that they implicated were double-guaranteed by Dumbledore and Auror Kingsley Shackles. The court determined that it was precisely because of the cooperation and undercover work of Severus and Lucius that Dumbledore was able to so easily assemble the Aurors and wipe out the entire gang in Azkaban.
[Regarding Nott's claim in court that the Man of Void had returned, and that Severus Snape had personally brought him back, Severus Snape confirmed on the spot that the so-called return of the Man of Void was merely a ruse. Dumbledore also confirmed in the courtroom that all the rumors circulating about the Man of Void were false, and that he had died eight years ago.]
Compared to the breakout of Azkaban and the trial of these criminals, I believe the wizarding world should pay more attention to Dumbledore's final words. For the past eight years, he has never publicly commented on the mysterious figure, but this time he broke with tradition, reaffirming his stance and responding.
With the conclusion of this trial, the case of Sirius Black was reopened, and Peter Pettigrew, the hero widely believed to have died eight years ago, surprisingly appeared in court.
[With the truth of the case coming to light, Minister Bagno gave a speech in court, stating that the final reckoning with these remaining Death Eaters and the restoration of justice for the innocent all signify that the last vestiges of influence left by the Mysterious Man in Britain have been completely eradicated, and that no one will live in such fear in the future!]
Meanwhile, facing impeachment from the Wizarding Ethics Committee for her unauthorized execution of Bella Lestrange and others attempting to escape from Azkaban, Bagno also stated that she was willing to resign from her position as Minister for Magic ahead of schedule.
After flipping through the recent newspapers and finding that the news was still the same old stuff, Severus casually slapped the newspaper back onto Dumbledore's desk.
After returning from the United States, a major trial was held, which not only resulted in Old Nott and his associates being sentenced to Azkaban, but also brought the cases of Black and Peter back to the forefront. Black was exonerated, and Peter was sent to Azkaban.
Then Lupin, just as he had told Severus and the others back in Albania, went home to visit his father, and Harry went with him.
This allows Severus to take a break in England recently.
Just as Severus was about to rummage through Dumbledore's drawers to see what other snacks he had hidden, a ghost suddenly floated in from outside the headmaster's room.
The ghost itself was completely silent, not to mention its owner's perpetually stiff and unsettling face, which startled Severus, who was already engaged in petty theft.
"Can't you have some manners? Say something when you come in!"
Severus's dissatisfied complaints.
"Also, you didn't go out and scare students with that face, did you? If news spreads in the wizarding world in a couple of days that Severus Snape suddenly died, possibly due to a curse from the mysterious man, that would be too much trouble."
Ghost Snape simply looked at Severus indifferently, his face still expressionless.
"Didn't you say that if you don't do bad things, you won't be afraid of ghosts knocking on your door?"
"That's called 'If you have a clear conscience, you have nothing to fear!' Besides, you didn't knock on the door."
Severus clapped his hands, pulled out a piece of strawberry cake, and, while turning his wand into a spoon, muttered something under his breath.
After planning to send Voldemort aboard the Galileo, Severus used the opportunity to use a teacup to suck Ghost Snape out of his body and release him back into nature. This freed him from the constant worry of a third party spying on his privacy. However, Ghost Snape still couldn't appear in public, as that would inevitably cause Severus some trouble.
After discussing this matter with Dumbledore, they planned to wait for an opportunity to announce that Severus had developed a special magic targeting the soul, creating a unique ghost from his past self, in order to explain the identity of Ghost Snape.
Watching Severus eat cake as if no one else was around, Ghost Snape remained silent for a moment before finally asking a question.
"What did you and Dumbledore talk about in this office that day?"
Severus rolled his eyes.
“I knew you would ask about this, but you could have used your curiosity elsewhere. We didn’t talk about much, just some unimportant things.”
“Don’t try to fool me! You must have told him about your origins!” Ghost Snape stared intently at Severus.
Severus simply shrugged.
"and then?"
Just as Ghost Snape was about to press for more information, Dumbledore, who had been away for a short while, returned.
"Too many people have been coming to the school to see me lately," the white-bearded old man muttered to himself, when he saw Severus eating strawberry cake with an innocent look on his face.
He couldn't help but smile helplessly.
"Okay, let's continue what we weren't finished talking about earlier."
After sitting back down in his chair, Dumbledore spoke again.
“I have already found a way to destroy all the Horcruxes you gave me, but just like you said, that locket is fake.”
"That's right, it's a real locket, hidden by a young man who used to work for the Black Boss."
"Do you know where it's hidden?" Dumbledore only asked half the question before realizing he had asked a redundant question.
He should have realized after that conversation that Severus knew all of this.
“To get the real locket back, we need to get that black dog to take it to his old home.” Severus swallowed the last bite of cake. “That Horcrux was hidden in the house by the house-elves at the behest of his hated younger brother.”
