Chapter 29 Human Village
"Hey! Norn, look what I found?"

In an inconspicuous corner of the Gmir Forest, a tribe of simply dressed humans lives here.

Thanks to the remaining barriers here, they were able to thrive in this pure land.

One of the blond young men returned from hunting and waved loudly to the black-haired man not far away.

"Eric, don't be so jumpy."

The black-haired man, Norn, walked towards him, but before he could finish his words, he saw the figure behind him.

"This is?"

Looking at the obviously human-looking creature behind the other party, Noen was a little surprised. This was the first time he saw a human other than their tribe.

Sure enough, Mr. Kraft was right.

There are also humans in other parts of this world.

"Where did you find him?"

"In the river over there, I was planning to take care of my prey, but this guy floated down from upstream. I saw he was still alive, so I brought him back."

Norn studied the unconscious man's face carefully.

There were some scratches on her pretty cheeks, and she was wearing simple clothes, but her sewing skills were much better than what they were wearing.

It is obvious at first glance that they are products from those large tribes.

"Let's take him back to the house first and wait until he wakes up."

Norn asked Eric to carry the man to a low house, put him on a bed with animal skins as a mattress, and left after asking his sister to take care of him.

Lord opened his eyes to see an unfamiliar ceiling and felt a sharp pain throughout his body.

I'm alive?
Lord didn't expect that he was lucky enough to save his life. He didn't die on the spot after falling from such a high cliff.

He felt his body condition and felt pain all over, but it didn't seem too serious, so he sat up tentatively.

"Don't move. You have internal injuries and need to rest for a while."

A pleasant female voice sounded in my ears. It was a cute little girl with black hair.

But what concerned Lord even more was the fact that the other person clearly looked like a little human girl.

Could it be that he happened to come to the human tribe in the Gmir Forest?
Just in case, he still wanted to confirm: "Hello, where is this?"

"Gmir Forest. Brother Eric picked you up from the river. Are you an adventurer from outside?"

The little girl opened her eyes wide. Their tribe was very small, with only about a hundred people, so almost everyone in the village knew each other.

The Lord in front of him was an unfamiliar outsider.

Lord breathed a sigh of relief, and the pain in his body eased a little. Previously, the pain made his facial expression look a little more ferocious.

He gave a gentle smile, trying to look less scary: "Yes, my name is Lord, and I am indeed from outside."

The little girl blinked, seeming interested in his answer.

"What's it like out there? Mr. Kraft said there are a lot of dangerous monsters out there. How did you survive?"

Kraft?
It seems that this is indeed the human village that the other party mentioned. This makes things much easier.

All he had to do next was wait quietly for them to arrive. After all, they had agreed to gather here before being dispersed by the demons.

I never expected that I would turn misfortune into blessing and arrive here first. But the price I paid was a bit too high.

Lord smiled bitterly and said, "Yes, it is indeed dangerous outside."

He recalled the demon that was chasing him and his final attack.

Unfortunately, he failed to kill the opponent completely, and was knocked into the river by the opponent's attack. But fortunately, he fell into the river, otherwise he would have become the opponent's meal.

Just as he was thinking about how to explain his experience, the door was gently pushed open and the black-haired man, Noen, walked in.

"Are you awake?" Norn handed a bowl of steaming herbal soup to Lord. "Drink it. It will help your injuries."

Lord took the bowl, thanked him, and drank the medicine in his mouth in small sips.

This was the first time he drank herbal soup since he traveled through time.

It can only be said that it is a miracle that he has not been sick in the past six months. After all, he has no knowledge of Chinese herbal medicine and does not know any healing magic. Once he gets sick, he can only rely on his immune system.

The bitter taste made him frown, but soon, a warm current spread from his stomach to his whole body, and the pain was indeed relieved a lot.

"My name is Lord, thank you for your rescue." Lord expressed his sincere gratitude.

Nuoen waved his hand and said, "You're welcome. My name is Nuoen, and this is my sister Nuoyun. But can you tell me how you got here?"

Lord was silent for a moment, but ultimately decided not to lie and told them the truth: "I was being chased by a demon and was thrown into the river, and then I ended up here."

"Demons!?" Nuo Yun said, his little face full of fear.

In their tribe, the demons were described by adults as the most terrifying monsters.

It is said that the other party has five heads and ten eyes. If you are disobedient or run away, it will catch you and eat you as food.

Just hearing this word made Nuoyun's calves start to tremble.

Norn's expression also grew serious. "Are you sure they are demons? Why would they appear near Gmir Forest?"

There is not even a single monster in the Gmir Forest, making it one of the few peaceful areas in the world.

He and Eric would occasionally go outside the forest to find some monsters to hone their martial arts, but they usually stayed nearby and never dared to leave the forest too far.

As for the legendary demons, he had never even seen them.

I just heard from Kraft that the other party has a similar body shape to humans, but there are exceptions.

Lord nodded: "It's absolutely true. Moreover, that demon is very strong."

He only knew that his attack did not completely kill the demon, but only severely injured it. As for what happened afterwards, he had no idea.

Lord then added, "Actually, I have companions, including Mr. Kraft, who once told me about your settlement."

"Is Mr. Kraft here too?"

Norn and Noyun spoke at the same time, saying that Kraft was a benefactor to their tribe.

Both he and Eric learned their martial arts from each other, so it was inevitable that they felt a little excited when they heard news about each other again.

"Yes, maybe you'll be able to see him in a few days. Kraft also told me the news about your tribe."

The tribe that Norn belonged to was first told to Lord by the woman from the Skywing tribe, but Lord learned more from Kraft.

So there is nothing wrong with him saying this.
