Chapter 9 Lone Assassin
Chapter 9 Lone Assassin
Having located Norman's contact and obtained some leads, things became much easier from there.
Luca followed them all the way to a car repair shop, then quietly stopped a short distance away to observe the situation.
Soon after, Henry and Jimmy arrived at the scene and got into Luca's car.
“See that guy? Bald, black jacket, jeans,” Luca pointed inside the auto repair shop. “He’s connected to Stan.”
The two guys were quite surprised. Others had been searching for so long and hadn't found anything. How did Luca find it?
No wonder he's a top-tier assassin who dares to operate in hotels on the mainland.
"Luca, no one can escape your eyes, you even found out about this!" Henry immediately flattered him.
Jimmy was more concerned about the guy. "Who is he?"
“I don’t know.” Luca shook his head. “This is your task. Next, you need to find out his identity and who he associates with, find Stan’s drug trustee, and then tell me all this information. I will handle the rest.”
The two immediately agreed to take on the task.
Luca, feigning ignorance, asked another question: "Are you familiar with Harlem? Do you know whose Blue Magic is?"
"There are so many! The most popular one right now is Blue Magic. All the rich kids buy this because it's highly pure and can be injected directly."
Jimmy rattled off the names of several bars, clubs, laundromats, and restaurants in New York City, all of which sold the Blue Magic.
"Most Blue Magic products have a purity of over 50% and are very affordable. Now, many New Yorkers only recognize this brand, and other products are extremely difficult to sell."
“That’s right,” Henry added. “Last time, I sold that batch of goods out of town. It was hard to compete with Blue Magic locally.”
Luca remained silent for a moment.
Damn, they've even built a brand from selling this stuff?
Very good, as expected of an A-rank male protagonist with two skills.
It now appears that Frank's business has grown quite large, and at this rate, it will soon attract the attention of the US government.
This refers to the federal anti-drug operation targeting drug crimes in New York, as depicted in the original storyline.
Luca felt a sense of crisis.
According to the original storyline, Frank was eventually arrested and even implicated three-quarters of the New York DEA's officers, almost wiping out the entire DEA.
Meanwhile, the police continued to supply people, causing unrest among various families and gangs in New York.
This is a major crisis.
It's possible that Marigio and Luca will also be implicated.
Luca must find a way to cut the knife ahead of time.
He never wanted to get involved in this stuff, and many people in his family also avoided the business because the sentences were too outrageous. Faced with such heavy sentences, sometimes even the Mafia's rule of silence was useless.
People's hearts are unpredictable.
But Luca happens to be working for Marigio, who has been doing this business for many years. As Luca works for Marigio, he inevitably comes into contact with him.
But Luca was very careful; he never participated in offline transactions himself, and he always gave the stolen goods to other members of his family.
He would rather take a smaller share of the money than get too deeply involved.
Luca thought to himself, "I need to prepare in advance. Once this Stan incident is over and I officially join the family, I'll have more autonomy. I won't touch this thing with Marigio anymore, not even if it's just a matter of someone else getting involved."
Over the next few days, intelligence gradually reached Luca.
The identity of the contact person has also been investigated. It turns out to be a dismissed narcotics police officer, and it seems that the guy is still secretly working for Stan.
In addition to the identity of the contact, other locations where Stan hid drugs were also discovered.
But Jimmy and Henry didn't dare to make a move; the other party's "fighting prowess" was a bit too strong.
That's easy, Luca can just do it.
However, before taking action, Luca first found "Tony," the middleman who sold macaroni, paid for an order, and specified that Lyon should handle it.
Too aloof? Difficult to develop a bond with? Then just place an order. We're all assassins, we'll get to know each other eventually.
That afternoon, Leon packed his gear, picked up his suitcase, and left home, heading to the designated mission location to meet up with his crew.
He heard from Tony that this mission was special—the employer would also be going along.
Lyon expressed his incomprehension and even considered refusing the mission.
He's used to being alone and doesn't like working with others.
But Tony was adamant.
The employer offered such a high price, and you didn't take the job. How am I supposed to collect the final payment?
Accept it! You absolutely must accept it!
Out of consideration for Tony's years of care, Leon reluctantly accepted the assignment. He vowed that he wouldn't exchange a single word with the employer except during the mission. "It's you?"
Outside a community, Lyon stared at Luca, who was wearing sunglasses, for a full three seconds.
How come he's my neighbor?
Lyon's first reaction was that something was amiss, and that his identity had been exposed, so he had to move and change his hideout immediately.
And this guy, did he approach me on purpose?
Should we find an opportunity to eliminate it?
Noticing Lyon take a half step back, Luca said with a smile, "What a coincidence, neighbor, we meet again."
Lyon stared warily at Luca, his muscles tense, ready to pounce.
The street was bustling with people, and the two stood facing each other in the middle of the crowd.
“This is no coincidence,” Leon said suspiciously. “First you moved next door to me, and now you’re contacting me through a mission. What exactly are you trying to do?”
"Of course I'm here to save your fate!" Luca patiently explained.
“I know you through Tony. You can confirm this with Tony. He knows exactly who I am. I mean, I'm not a cop, and I have no ill intentions.”
As for moving next door to you, it was really just a coincidence. My target was Norman across the hall; that guy's a drug dealer. You've been their neighbor for so long, you should know that, right?"
Lyon was skeptical.
Luca took out his phone, called Tony, and then walked over and handed the phone to him. "You can talk to Tony. He'll tell you everything you want to know."
Tony is the person Leon trusts most.
Leon came to New York City at the age of 19, where Tony took him in and has been taking care of him ever since.
Leon has no friends except Tony.
Lyon took the phone and confirmed the news with Tony on the other end, learning the whole story and Luca's true identity.
Therefore, Lyon tentatively believed Luca's words.
He didn't want to ask any more questions. Since Tony said it was no problem, then it was no problem—Tony wouldn't harm him, just like Tony would safeguard his own money. Tony said that keeping his money was safer than a bank account in the United States.
Luca took the phone from him and said with a smile, "Neighbor, now we can get to know each other, right? Luca Greco."
Lyon grasped Luca's hand. "Lyon."

Five more deluxe skill gift packs.
The Silver Queen skill is probably related to Leon's love of growing potted plants. That Silver Queen was his only friend, a companion and a spiritual symbol during his lonely times.
I won't go into detail about the assassin skills; learning them will definitely enhance your strength.
As for the skill "Oath of Protection," in the original storyline, Leon sacrificed himself to protect Mathilda, and the actions of that not-so-cold-blooded killer were deeply moving.
This is practically a divine skill; it greatly increases strength without sacrificing teammates.
Overall, apart from the "Lone Wolf" skill of the Lone Assassin, all the other skills satisfied Luca, who was an assassin.
Luca grinned, revealing his clean, white teeth.
Lyon, I'm definitely going to be your friend!
