Chapter 421 Who is he to you?
After leaving Du Song's house, the three of them had a meal, and then Su Miaoyi and Chu Xingrou went to Lu Zhishen's house.

Lu Zhishen also returned from the hospital.

"Brother Lu, your house is so big!" Chu Xingrou looked around as soon as she entered the courtyard.

"Is it as big as your house?" Lu Zhishen asked.

Chu Xingrou said, "It's much bigger than my house. My dad can't live in a place that's too big; he gets disoriented and can't find his way around. Even where we live now, he still occasionally gets lost."

Lu Zhishen looked at her: "Does your dad know that you've been talking about his embarrassing stories outside?"

"It's alright, he won't know." Chu Xingrou glanced at the withered flowers in the yard and then went into the villa.

Lu Zhishen turned on the air conditioner: "I had someone clean it this afternoon, and there's food in the refrigerator. Please make yourselves at home."

"Really?" Su Miaoyi asked.

Lu Zhishen paused in his steps upstairs, suddenly looking at her warily.

Su Miaoyi glanced at him, then sat down, leaning back on the sofa, and said, "Someone, bring me some fruit."

Lu Zhishen: "I'm letting you treat yourself like family, not like an emperor."

“I’m treated like an emperor at home,” Su Miaoyi said earnestly.

Lu Zhishen looked at Chu Xingrou: "Xingrou, treat yourself like you're at home."

After saying that, he looked at Su Miaoyi and said, "You should treat yourself as a guest."

Su Miaoyi smiled and said, "Go quickly."

Lu Zhishen smiled and went upstairs.

Chu Xingrou sat down: "Sister Miaomiao, where did Brother Lu go?"

"We're offering incense to his parents," Su Miaoyi said. "I came here once last year."

Chu Xingrou nodded.

Lu Zhishen went to his parents' room, lit an incense stick for them, and talked for a while.

When he came out of the room and went downstairs, Su Miaoyi and Chu Xingrou were sitting on the sofa talking about the case.

Lu Zhishen went to the kitchen to wash the fruit, cut it into small pieces, and brought it to the living room. He sat down and said, "I've done everything I can at the hospital. Whether Lu Min will take the bait or not depends on these next two days."

"Let's wait a bit." Su Miaoyi told Song Yucheng about the case of Aunt Qu's son that he had mentioned to them.

Lu Zhishen said, "I've heard a bit about this case. I was in college at the time. I heard there was a medical accident at the hospital, and a doctor committed suicide there. I haven't heard anything about what happened after that. Since the surveillance footage didn't capture it, do you suspect it wasn't suicide?"

"What a coincidence! The hospital had a power outage for half an hour at that time, and the surveillance cameras didn't capture anything," Su Miaoyi said.

Lu Zhishen nodded: "However, there are indeed many coincidences in this world. For example, your name is now Su Miaoyi."

“That’s true.” Su Miaoyi said, then paused for a moment. “It’s been ten years, and the case is closed. It’s hard to find any evidence. I can only try to see if I can find anything. Anyway, I’m in Jiangcheng all this time, so investigating one case or two cases is the same.”

Lu Zhishen nodded again, then asked, "If it was murder? What was the motive?"

"Is it revenge from the patient's family?" Chu Xingrou said. "The patient's death was caused by the wrong medication. This is a huge matter. The family must be the most heartbroken and resentful."

“But they must have investigated the patient’s family members at the time,” Lu Zhishen said. “If they really were the patient’s family members, I think they should have found something out.”

"If it wasn't a patient's family member, and it was a homicide, then what was the motive?" Su Miaoyi asked.

The three people remained silent.

After a while, Lu Zhishen said, "Get some rest. We'll check the case files tomorrow and see what really happened back then."

The three of them went back to their room.

After washing up, Su Miaoyi turned on her computer and checked the news from D Continent.

No information about Chang Kong has been found yet.

"We haven't found any information yet. Chang Kong's name is probably fake, and he hasn't shown his face much, so no one has seen him," the voice in my head said.

Su Miaoyi closed the laptop: "Go to sleep, you won't have to worry when you're asleep."

She put her computer aside, sent a message to ask about Shen Shilan's situation, and then went to sleep.
The next day, after breakfast, Su Miaoyi went to Di Xin's house with Chu Xingrou and Song Yucheng.

Lu Zhishen went to the hospital.

When they arrived at Di Xin's house, Di Jia was already home.

Di Jia returned last night; he needed to see his mother in person to feel at ease.

After waiting at his house for half an hour, Di Xin returned.

Di Jia went out immediately.

Di Xin looked at him: "Why are you back?"

Seeing that she was alright, Di Jia's worried expression faded, and then she became so angry that her face turned pale: "Why did you come back? Didn't I tell you not to come back? And why didn't you tell me you were coming back? I couldn't contact you!"

"Why can't I come back?" Di Xin looked at Su Miaoyi and the others, then at Di Jia. "Would my big company stop operating? With so many people in my company, are we supposed to starve?"

“President Di, the company is running smoothly. Even if you're away for ten days or half a month, there won't be any problems,” Di Jia said.

Di Xin glanced at him, ignored him, and walked directly to Su Miaoyi and the others, shaking hands with them.

After they sat down, Su Miaoyi said, "President Di, we came here to ask you about some things related to juniper."

“We haven’t been in touch for almost twenty years,” Di Xin said. “I’m afraid I can’t be of much help.”

Su Miaoyi nodded and showed her Chang Kong's portrait: "Have you seen this person before?"

Di Xin looked at it carefully for a while: "No, I don't recognize it."

She looked at Di Jia as she spoke: "Is this the person you told me about? The one surnamed Chang?"

"Yes."

Di Xin said, "He has a fierce look on his face; he's definitely not a good person. I heard from Di Jia that Du Song is dead?"

"Yes."

"Did Lu Min kill him?" Di Xin asked.

Chu Xingrou looked up at her.

Song Yucheng was also looking at her.

Su Miaoyi asked, "Why do you say that?"

“I just made it up,” Di Xin said.

"Really?" Su Miaoyi said. "Do you know something?"

Di Xin shook her head: "I really just said it offhand."

Dijia also looked at her mother.

Su Miaoyi rubbed her fingers together: "How much do you know about Lu Min?"

“I don’t know her very well.” Di Xin smiled, her face calm and composed. “She’s my ex-husband’s wife, and I really have no interest in knowing her.”

Su Miaoyi thought for a moment and asked, "May I ask how your marriage with Du Song broke down?"

“He cheated on me.” Di Xin looked at her, a moment of doubt flashing in her eyes. “He cheated on me with our company’s accountant at the time. After we divorced, I had a heart-to-heart talk with that accountant, and she left. Later, Du Song met Lu Min.”

Su Miaoyi paused for a moment, feeling that Di Xin seemed to be testing them.

Or perhaps it's an attempt to guide them.

Di Xin kept looking at her, then suddenly asked, "Who is Shen Jun of Jing Shen Group to you?"

Let's stick to one chapter today.
