Chapter 4 Bai Ni's Sister
"Ah, Sha..."

Mysterious and melodious beast roars, ever-moving sea beasts, and more and more beastmen arriving at the Ice Island, densely packed together, with many beastmen already transforming into human form and coming ashore.

"Hey, are you sure you're okay not to go with your tribe?" Looking at the dense crowd of beastmen ahead, Chao Sheng sighed silently and asked lazily.

With a clear breeze and bright sunshine, the blue sea is rippling gently – a rare treat for the polar regions.

Bai Ni playfully flipped over, his pointed head bobbing up and down in the seawater, his wise eyes secretly watching the little mermaid beside him. "I've already told my mother and sister that I'll go find them when we get to the island."

When he told his mother about it, the older female orc saw right through him and teased him until he blushed.

“Let’s go that way,” Chao Sheng pointed to the direction with the fewest orcs. “We’ll get ashore from there.”

"okay."

The melodious beast roars grew clearer and clearer. Chao Sheng squinted his eyes in enjoyment. The singing was quite pleasant, carrying a sense of ancient ritual.

As soon as Chao Sheng transformed into human form, her bare feet stepped onto the ice stones, feeling the unfamiliar sensation beneath her feet. She looked at her legs with curiosity, as she had never seen them since arriving in this world.

The giant orca beside him also transformed into a human, with neat, wet black hair pulled up behind his ears. The tall, agile young man wore only a black and white apron, his narrow waist revealing eight-pack abs. A polished animal tooth adorned his left earlobe, and a playful tiger tooth was visible in his shallow smile. His brows and eyes held an unruly and rebellious air.

Chao Sheng was stunned when she saw the picture of a handsome man emerging from the bath. This... this is too revealing.

She blinked and looked up. Almost all the people there were beastmen wearing only animal-patterned skirts. Their exposed skin seemed completely unfazed by the cold of the polar seas. Chao Sheng swallowed hard in surprise, silently comforting herself. It's the beastman world, so it's normal. You'll get used to it.

"Chaosheng, what's wrong?" Bai Ni looked at the little mermaid with concern, noticing that something was clearly wrong.

"No...it's nothing, I'm fine," Chao Sheng replied awkwardly.

"Alright then." Bai Ni rubbed his wet hair, his eyes suddenly lit up, and he waved his hand as if to say hello, "Chao Sheng, let's go find my tribe."

Chao Sheng shook her head somewhat reluctantly. After experiencing the incident with the three Great White Shark sisters, she deeply felt how unpopular she was.

"Come on, come on, my mother and sister want to meet you." Bai Ni waved happily to Chao Sheng, his raised eyebrows radiating joy.

"Well... alright." Perhaps moved by the smile on Bai Ni's face, Chao Sheng nodded in agreement as if possessed.

Following Bai Ni's footsteps, we ventured deeper into the beastmen's territory, the cacophony of sounds filling our ears—it was incredibly lively.

Many people who knew Bai Ni wanted to greet him, but when they saw Chao Sheng next to him, they were stunned, surprised, or disgusted.

Feeling the uncomfortable gazes, Chao Sheng looked away and pursed her lips helplessly. She almost wanted to make an excuse to slip away.

Just then, Bai Ni suddenly shouted loudly towards the front.

"Mother, sister!"

Bai Ni shouted loudly. The mother and daughter, who were talking about something with their heads down, looked up and saw Bai Ni. When they glanced at the petite figure next to her, gentle smiles appeared on their similar faces.

Bai Ni pulled Chao Sheng's wrist and walked towards them, his eyes lingering and a smile he couldn't suppress. "Come on! I'll introduce you to them!"

His large hand enveloped her slender wrist, his cool body temperature lingering on her pale skin. Chao Sheng followed Bai Ni's steps helplessly and met his mother and sister.

"You must be Chaosheng." Bai Pei looked at the female in front of her with satisfaction, a hint of gratitude in her eyes.

Bai Ni is unwilling to say, but as his mother, how could she not guess?
In the year he came of age, the frequency of his mental turmoil increased.

When Bai Huan returned and told her that Bai Ni's mental sea had rioted and he couldn't come back with them, she almost thought she would never see her child again.

Good thing...

"Yes." Chao Sheng nodded somewhat reservedly. The woman in front of him possessed a tolerance that came with experience, and was kind and gentle, making people unable to help but let their guard down.

"It's so beautiful!" Bai Pei exclaimed sincerely as she looked at Chao Sheng. "The environment in the polar seas is harsh, you might suffer a lot here."

"If you need anything, just come to me."

"Mother..." Bai Ni muttered discontentedly, "What about me?" He wouldn't let the little mermaid suffer.

Bai Pei glanced helplessly at her troublesome child, "Bai Qi, take Chao Sheng for a walk. I have something to say to Bai Ni." "Huh?" Bai Ni was surprised and wanted to object, but when she met her mother's stern gaze, she lowered her head dejectedly and looked at Chao Sheng for help.

Chao Sheng completely missed Bai Ni's gaze, and just looked curiously at the female walking towards her. She looked a little like Bai Ni, but she looked much more composed and resembled their mother more.

"Hello, my name is Bai Qi."

"My name is Chao Sheng," Chao Sheng answered subconsciously, her eyes blinking rapidly like butterfly wings, her gaze filled with curiosity and confusion.

Seeing this, Bai Qi smiled and said gently, "Come with me."

Bai Qi didn't take Chao Sheng to the trade market, but instead took her to a secluded place and explained things to her little by little.

"The treasure hunt hasn't started yet, so these things on the ground aren't anything good."

"Once the treasure hunt begins, feel free to ask if there's anything you want."

Chao Sheng waved her hand and politely thanked her, "No need, I don't want it."

"Don't make a decision so soon." Bai Qi's expression remained unchanged, her demeanor gentle. "Although the polar seas are cold and harsh, they produce quite a few treasures every year."

"Speaking of which, it seems you didn't bring much with you to the polar seas," Bai Qi said, turning her head to look at Chao Sheng with a confident tone.

Why would a tribe provide supplies to a female exiled to fend for herself?
Chao Sheng's eyes flickered. It seemed that the original owner really didn't have any possessions. She could make do for now, but it definitely couldn't continue like this in the long run.

She looked at Bai Qi hesitantly, "Then if I need it, I'll consider it a loan from you."

"I will pay you back later."

A hint of surprise flashed across Bai Qi's gentle face, then she smiled knowingly, "Actually, we don't need to be so distant."

"Thank you for my brother's matter."

The sea breeze ruffled Chao Sheng's hair, and she reached out to smooth it. Her ethereal and melodious voice drifted across the sea with the breeze, "It's alright."

Against the backdrop of azure sea and white shores, the female figure is breathtakingly beautiful, her indifferent eyes shimmering with a faint light, and a subtle smile playing at the corners of her lips, like a deity detached from worldly affairs.

After being stunned by Chao Sheng's beauty for a moment, Bai Qi suddenly became curious. How exactly did she end up in the polar sea? Such a shameful rumor about her seemed too illogical. Could any beastman really resist her seduction and still be so heartless as to exile her?

Bai Qi blinked, gazing at the rolling waves, and began to chat casually, "Of all my mother's children, only Bai Ni and I share the same beastly father."

"Bai Ni is exceptionally talented; he became a fifth-tier beastman as soon as he came of age."

At this point, Bai Qi paused, looking at Chao Sheng with a meaningful gaze, "To be honest, I've always hoped that Bai Ni could marry a live-in wife."

"But now Bai Ni is all grown up and has his own ideas."

Bai Qi's gaze was intense, seemingly feeling helpless because of his grown-up younger brother. A bad premonition slowly rose in Chao Sheng's heart.

Sure enough, Bai Qi changed the subject the next second, "My mother has chosen me as the successor of the tribe, and I hope that the tribe will get better and better under my leadership in the future."

Then, looking earnestly at Chao Sheng, he asked, "So, would you like to join our tribe?"

"?" Chao Sheng looked puzzled. "I don't quite understand what you mean." This female beastman gave her a strange feeling, as if she was deliberately being mysterious.

Bai Qi smiled slightly and calmly asked, "Do you know that Bai Ni likes you?"

"Hmm?" Chao Sheng frowned slightly, her beautiful eyes filled with deep doubt as she looked at Bai Qi, as if waiting for her to answer.

Bai Qi chuckled softly, seemingly understanding that her younger brother hadn't yet expressed his feelings to a female. She smiled understandingly, "It's alright if you don't know."

“As an adult female who has not yet married a beastman, you must marry a beastman today.”

"Bai Ni is a great choice for you. He is simple-minded, capable, and most importantly, he likes you."

"As for my suggestion, you can also consider it carefully. It's not shameful to be a live-in wife of our whale tribe."
