Sea World of Beasts: The Sinful Mermaid - She's a Heartthrob
Chapter 29 Shelan grass
Chapter 29 Shelan grass
"What!" Chao Sheng's beautiful eyes widened, her little face filled with shock. "Bai Ni is injured?"
"How did he get injured?"
Bai An anxiously shook his tail fin, his voice urgent, "We'll talk about this later!"
"Go and see him first!"
Although Bai An didn't understand why his mother insisted that he come to find Chao Sheng to see Bai Ni, the tribe's doctors couldn't cure Bai Ni's injuries, so how could this female heal them?
? !
Could it be that Bai Ni is already...almost dead, which is why he sent his wife to see him one last time?
Thinking of this, a trace of sorrow flashed across Bai An's eyes. His poor brother.
"Okay." Chao Sheng knew there was no time to waste, so she spoke up decisively.
“I’ll go with you,” Yin Xu said immediately.
"Hmm." Chao Sheng looked at him intently, her face full of anxiety.
……
The lush green seaweed swayed in the breeze, the light and shadows diluted, revealing a bluish-green glow.
Every now and then you can see several killer whales swimming back and forth, drawing graceful arcs.
A group of orcas surrounded a reef, their black tail fins frantically whipping out waves.
"White Reversal!"
Chao Sheng passed through the giant killer whale, his eyes filled with shock and sorrow. Lying on the reef was none other than Bai Ni!
Bai Pei stood guard beside Bai Ni and saw a barely perceptible weariness in Chao Sheng's eyes, but her voice was still full of excitement, "You've come!"
"Quick, look at him!"
Bai Pei waved away the orcas that were watching, making way for Chao Sheng.
"He was injured by the wild orchid. Do you see if there's any way to save him?"
Bai Pei's eyes were slightly red, and her voice trembled with anxiety, but she still maintained a basic level of composure.
Orchid?
Chao Sheng had never heard of any herb called "Shelan grass," and a deeper worry flashed in her eyes. She slowly swam to Bai Ni's side. Bai Ni's neck had a long cut, the wound was thin and black, and was still oozing dark red blood.
Poisoning?
Chao Sheng felt a chill run down his spine. The venom of these sea creatures was potent; if one wasn't careful, they could be dead in an instant.
She gently placed her hand on his wrist, extending a wisp of her magical power to examine it. His heart was beating unusually fast, and toxins were slowly flowing into his lungs through his bloodstream.
Chao Sheng frowned deeply, a bead of cold sweat trickling down his fair face, and quickened the pace of channeling his magical power.
The purple magical power attempted to envelop the poison, but the poison, relying on the flowing blood, always managed to break free from the magical power's grasp.
Chao Sheng bit her already pale lips and tried her best to use her witch power to cleanse it, but this poison was not an ordinary poison, so how could it be so easy to deal with?
After a long time, Chao Sheng was exhausted and covered in sweat before he finally managed to eliminate most of the poison and save Bai Ni's life.
She tried to use her magic to eliminate the remaining poisons, but suddenly, all the poisons broke free from the magic's restraints and rushed off in one direction.
That's... a heart!
Chao Sheng was shocked and used his witchcraft to chase after the poison, but when he reached the heart, he suddenly found that the poison had disappeared!
That's strange, there's nothing wrong with his heart.
Where did the toxins go?
Chao Sheng frowned, anxiously and carefully examining the body with her witchcraft, fearing that a single mistake would result in Bai Ni's death.
"Cough cough!"
A soft cough startled Chao Sheng from her thoughts. She looked at Bai Ni anxiously, "Bai Ni, are you awake?"
Are you feeling unwell anywhere right now?
Bai Ni opened her eyes groggily, her once round black eyes now dull and lifeless. Only after confirming that it was the little mermaid's voice did a faint light appear in her eyes.
Her pale, bloodless lips moved as if she wanted to speak, but her throat was so dry and painful, as if it were being cut by a knife, that she couldn't utter a single complete syllable. Bai Ni struggled to open her eyelids, wanting to see the little mermaid.
Seeing that Bai Ni remained silent, Chao Sheng bit her lip anxiously, "Bai Ni, how are you feeling right now?"
"Please speak!"
Bai Ni stared at her with his eyes wide open, a barely perceptible hint of grievance flickering in them.
A hint of understanding flashed in Chao Sheng's eyes, and she tentatively guessed, "You can't speak?"
Bai Ni blinked, seemingly agreeing with her.
"Did the orcs who were poisoned by this poison react this way before?" Chao Sheng looked up at Bai Pei and asked urgently, "Did they suffer any aftereffects?"
Bai Pei simply looked at her intently, shook her head, sighed softly, and said, "No."
"No orc has ever survived after being poisoned by this."
"?" What? Chao Sheng was stunned into silence. This poison is that potent?
My heart skipped a beat from panic.
“Yes.” Bai Pei nodded in response, her mood somber. “The only place to grow this herb is in the Rotten Sea Trench.”
"After everyone learned that the venom of the herb was extremely poisonous, no orcs went there again."
As they talked, Bai Ni's heart spun with a faint purple light. After the almost invisible purple light moved to its comfort zone, it suddenly calmed down, and Bai Ni coughed violently, "Cough!"
A large pool of poisonous blood flowed down the corner of his mouth.
Chao Sheng was so startled that her lips parted slightly and her pupils contracted. "Bai Ni, what's wrong with you?"
"I'm not... cough cough, I'm fine." Bai Ni said weakly after coughing up another wisp of dark red blood.
Her already pale face was now even paler, as white as a sheet of paper, completely devoid of color.
The unruly air between his brows and eyes was gone; his dark eyes were dull and lifeless, as if covered with a layer of frost.
He sat quietly for a long time, finally recovering a little strength. Then he looked at Chao Sheng with a wronged expression, "Sheng Sheng, I... I thought I would never see you again."
“Me too.” Chao Sheng was moved and stepped forward to hug him, tears glistening in her eyes.
After a long while, Chao Sheng calmed Bai Ni down and then used her witch power to examine Bai Ni's body. Strangely, the poison had disappeared without a trace.
To be on the safe side, she examined the area thoroughly several times before withdrawing her magical power.
"The toxins in Bai Ni's body have been completely cleared."
"If you take good care of yourself afterward, there shouldn't be any problems."
Although the toxins have been removed, the areas that were corroded by the toxins are still there, and we can only wait for them to heal slowly.
Bai Pei finally felt relieved, let out a deep breath, and a hint of relief flashed in her eyes.
Her gaze instantly turned cold and sharp as she glanced disapprovingly at the outer pod of killer whales. "Bai Lang, Bai Yu."
"Have those two orcs been captured?"
An orca, about eight meters long, trembled and shuddered. "Mother, we...we caught it."
"Ha!" Bai Pei sneered. "Send them back."
"Okay, okay." Bai Yu's voice was timid, and he dared not say more. He pulled Bai Lang and swam out together.
Soon, the two orcas brought the two orcs back.
Chao Sheng looked closely and his pupils contracted slightly in surprise.
Why is it her?
