Chapter 29 Whitewash
Mentor Clark keenly noticed the change in Jemin's mood.

He looked at the relief on Jemin's face, a mischievous glint in his eyes. This was something Jemin had never seen before since they met.

"What?" Professor Clark leaned forward slightly, making a rare joke. "You don't actually think that all the trouble we went through to bring you here, using so many resources and manpower, was just for that little bit of knowledge about new materials in your head, do you?"

Jemin awkwardly lowered his head and scratched it, trying to hide the smugness in his eyes: "Um... I was a little worried at first... that I would be questioned."

Instead of commenting on his "concerns," Clark's mentor began to recount his story, his tone returning to its usual calm and steady narrative style.

"You may not know it, but the resources the academy used to determine your 'purity' and potential far exceeded your imagination. The examination of your soul, interpersonal relationships, and causal lines involved at least five wizards of level four or above, including experts specializing in rare schools of thought."

"Examining the original data of a plane requires the Dean's authority. The amount of magic and manpower consumed in this process is not insignificant, even for Norren Academy."

"We're not doing this because your materials are so valuable. Level 5 materials are good, but they're not irreplaceable for us. What's really important is that we eliminate any potential threats to the academy's security and confirm whether your maximum value justifies the investment."

Instructor Clark paused, his gaze seemingly piercing through the walls of the secret chamber, looking towards the distant void.

"Moreover, it's not like we didn't have a sliver of unrealistic expectations."

His tone suddenly became somewhat complicated, carrying a hint of disappointment and a touch of regret for those seeking knowledge.

"To be honest, many of us actually hope that you can make some kind of connection with some foreign, unknown beings that could be called gods in some planes."

"Uh……"

Jemin was a little embarrassed and didn't know how to respond, but fortunately, his mentor Clark hadn't intended for him to speak anyway.

“Wizards pursue knowledge. But our knowledge is not rigid dogma; rather, like life itself, it is constantly absorbed, digested, and transformed, ultimately becoming our own power and understanding,” Mentor Clark continued. “Therefore, even knowledge that is considered corrupted in many destinies can be quickly utilized and transformed by wizards.”

"Once, not long after the wizarding civilization stepped out of the primordial plane, it encountered a special plane community inhabited by a group of gods with the characteristic of 'indescribability'. They had no fixed form, no clear status, and liked to forcibly pull mortals into their own understanding of 'truth' or 'knowledge,' causing mortals to go mad or die because they could not bear the excessive amount of information and concepts."

Upon hearing this, Jemin swallowed hard, feeling a strange sense of familiarity with these deities.

“These were a group of… dangerous but knowledgeable gods.” A strange fanaticism crept into Clark’s voice. “Later, the wizards of that time destroyed that plane cluster and ‘swallowed’ these gods.”

"We analyzed their form of existence in a way that belongs to wizards, absorbed their power and knowledge, and thoroughly integrated them into the system of wizarding civilization."

"And through the legacy of these gods, the wizarding civilization finally gave birth to a new level nine wizard."

Level 9 Wizard!

Even under these circumstances, Jemin couldn't help but feel a longing.

"So, if you really have some connection with some foreign deity who can bring unknown knowledge and concepts..." Mentor Clark's tone sounded somewhat regretful.

"Even if we just report this matter, our school won't have to worry about resources for a long time to come. If the enemy is strong enough, it's even possible that a new level nine wizard will emerge, and the boundaries of the entire wizarding civilization could expand again."

He looked at Jemin and calmly concluded, "So when it turned out you were perfectly 'clean,' merely a gifted and lucky native apprentice... to be honest, many of us wizards, including myself, were quite disappointed." Hearing his mentor Clark's "disappointment," Jemin felt his back completely soaked with cold sweat!

He made a decisive decision: no matter what, he must keep the Great Dao Library in his mind completely hidden!

We absolutely must not let anyone know of its existence!

After all, even Jemin himself didn't know whether, if this thing were exposed, the wizards would judge it as knowledge he possessed, or as a covert operation by an unknown deity.

However, after the initial shock, Jemin calmed down.

According to my supervisor, it seems that I had already been vetted without his knowledge, which is why I was able to obtain the Level 2 training agreement.

This agreement was initiated by the Star Ring Alliance.

If Noren Workshop is the superior unit of Noren Academy, then the Star Ring Alliance is the superior unit of Noren Workshop.

The entire Star Ring Alliance is a united force of many powerful wizarding factions with shared beliefs, and is one of the four major factions of wizarding civilization.

The biggest benefit of this training agreement for Jemin is not the access granted, but that it means his identity has been completely cleared!

In addition to this, there are also the convention restrictions of the Star Orbit Arbitration Tribunal.

Under the premise of being "not a spy or a traitor," no wizard can forcibly deprive him of his knowledge.

This means that as long as he is careful enough not to expose the biggest secret of the Great Dao Library, he can gradually reveal more in the future using his identity as a "genius".

By systematically disguising the knowledge of the cultivation world as knowledge and materials from the wizarding world, one can gain more benefits and resources for oneself!

This is a golden opportunity!

Jemin took a deep breath to calm his pounding heart.

"Thank you, mentor!" He bowed sincerely to Mentor Clark. "I will certainly not let the Alliance down!"

“It has nothing to do with me; this is your own ability.” Mentor Clark nodded, reverting to his usual expressionless demeanor.

"The Level 2 training agreement will officially take effect within a week, and the relevant permissions will be granted to your personal account. Remember, the opportunity has been provided; how far you go depends on your own abilities."

After saying that, Instructor Clark stood up, said nothing more, and turned to leave the secret room.

The heavy metal door closed slowly again, and the secret room returned to silence.

Jemin sat in the chair, feeling more relaxed than ever before.
