Chapter 28 Bronze Corridor
"The opportunity has come!"

Dust, noise, overturned toys, and scattered papers filled the room, which was filled with strange sounds.

The pale giant outside the door slammed open the door and impatiently squeezed his bulky body into the room. He didn't even have time to look closely; he was just eager to go deeper into the room to see the screaming dolls.

The moment Han Su rushed into the corridor, he quickly looked at both sides of the fifth floor, only to find an eerie silence.

It was quiet here; there were no wandering monsters, and not even a trace of any living creature!

So, where is the key?

Han Su pressed his chest, suppressing his pounding heart, slowed his pace, and walked forward little by little on the thick, damp carpet.

Meanwhile, from the fourth floor, faint roars could still be heard. The pale giant on the fourth floor was furious. Unable to rush up to the fifth floor, it was pounding on something, and the huge noise seemed to shake the entire castle.

A pungent, putrid smell of dust filled the air, and cracks appeared in the walls on either side.

Deep within the crevice, something appeared, shooting straight outwards.

In a tense moment, Han Su scanned the scene warily, finally making out the shapes of the objects: bronze statues.

They wore strange and fine armor, each with a long, slender neck covered in scales, a flat and sinister head, and eyes set in the sides that shimmered with a dim red light.

Those were clearly bronze statues.

In particular, the bronze statues looked so strange that it seemed as if the armor was not worn by humans, but by monsters with snake heads and human bodies.

They were embedded in the walls on both sides of the corridor, and at first glance, they seemed to be one with the walls. Now, with the shaking of the castle, they were slightly loosened, and one of them lurched out a little, blocking Han Su's way.

"What the hell?"

Unlike others who would immediately jump away or have other stress reactions after being frightened, Han Su stood still, staring intently at the bronze armor, confirming that it was an inanimate object.

My gaze swept across both sides, where rows of bronze doors were embedded in the walls, appearing incredibly sturdy.

Han Su had no interest in appreciating this mysterious technology. He simply walked slowly towards the few light and shadows cast into the corridor, his heart gradually rising to his throat.

Arriving before the light and shadow, he saw a room with a half-open door. He held his breath and peered inside.

The room was decorated as luxuriously as an ancient palace, but everything looked unusually old.

However, in the very center of the room, there was a coffin.

Two huge white candles burned quietly beside the coffin.

By the light of the candle, Han Su's gaze sharpened, and he saw the brass key hanging next to the coffin.

"found it!"

Han Su's heart skipped a beat. He steeled himself, tiptoed, and entered the room.

He silently surveyed the room, but saw no other living creatures. The only thing in the room was the black coffin, covered with intricate and eerie copper-inlaid patterns.

He continued to approach, each step feeling like a gamble with his life, but Han Su slowly made his way to the coffin.

Slowly, he took the key that was hanging next to the coffin into his hand.

Nothing happened.

Han Su thought to himself and backed away from the room. Unexpectedly, at that moment, the coffin lid suddenly opened a crack, and a pale and withered hand grabbed his left hand.

The cold, hard touch, like cast iron, made Han Su's left hand feel as if it were instantly imprisoned in a pair of pliers.

A chilling aura spread throughout his body, making him feel as if he were frozen solid, unable to move at all.

The withered palm slowly rotated, as if caressing something.

The thumbnail, with its eerie bronze sheen, slowly brushed against the back of Han Su's hand, invisibly cutting a wound on the back of his left hand, from which blood immediately flowed.

As the blood flowed out, Han Su suddenly relaxed slightly, and his body, which had been frozen in place, seemed to gain a moment of freedom.

Taking advantage of this fleeting opportunity, he bit the key with his teeth, then suddenly raised the weapon given to him by the grumpy kid in his right hand and slashed it down hard at his left wrist.
