Chapter 18 is full of new discoveries.

The wild boar spirit was so engrossed in its run that even when Yun Ce had caught up to within a hundred meters, it remained oblivious, continuing its frantic pursuit.

Yun Ce leaped a few more times from the treetops and arrived at the path the wild boar demon was bound to take.

Sometime later, the molten metal had detached from the Dragon Ball and gathered into a ball in Yun Ce's palm, seemingly waiting to be thrown out by Yun Ce at any moment.

Just then, the wild boar demon suddenly stopped and looked up, its two scarlet eyes like two burning embers.

Yun Ce was also staring at the wild boar demon, trying to gather more useful information.

Yun Ce pulled out a short-handled axe, removed the leather sheath covering the axe blade, and chopped at the huge bamboo.

After the bamboo fell to the ground, it was easy to chop it with an axe, and there was no problem with the axe getting stuck. After the bamboo was about three meters long, basically two sections, Yun Ce cut it in half horizontally. He then began to split the bamboo horizontally into two halves. Splitting horizontally was easy. He split a notch, then used a wedge to drive it in, and the bamboo split open. After both sides were split open, he lifted the upper part, and two very good dugout canoes were completed.

Bamboo is hollow, with a large internal cavity, which Yun Ce tested and found was large enough for him to fit inside. There was no need to break through the naturally formed partitions of bamboo inside the hull, but the stabilizing fins at the bottom of the hull needed to be carefully crafted.
