Chapter 345 Galei's Invitation

Beast God Ridge.

This is the highest mountain on the Orcish Continent. From a distance, it looks like it touches the sky. Legend has it that the first mountain to appear on the Orcish Continent was Beast God Ridge, and the Beast God was born on this mountain, thus protecting the Orcs.

Today was a rare rainstorm on the Orcish Continent. Garei stood on the edge of the cliff with his hands behind his back, looking up at the sky. The rain was kept away from his body before it even touched him, making him look nothing like an insectoid who couldn't fly if his wings got wet.

Hector stood not far away, holding a woven umbrella in one hand and Qingfeng in the other.

The little girl's pretty face was deathly pale, and her gray-brown eyes were filled with fear as she stared at Garei.

She had always thought that her father was lying to her when he said that it was dangerous outside, that he just didn't want her to leave the Beast God Fortress because she was too young. But the first time she successfully escaped, she encountered danger.

Hector noticed Qingfeng's trembling body, pursed his lips, looked down at her, and whispered, "Are you cold?"

Qingfeng looked up at Hector, her clean, pale face heartbreaking to see. She whispered, "Can you let me go? I haven't been home all night. My mother and father will be worried, and the other fathers will be anxious too. And my older sister and brother, they will definitely cry. Qingfeng doesn't want them to cry. Auntie, please, let me go."

She clutched Hector's clothes with her little hands, her eyes already brimming with tears.

Hector's weary brows furrowed with a hint of pity, but to Gare, she was nothing more than a plaything to whom he had grown attached to youthful emotions. She had no power to sway his mind or save him.

However, seeing the fear on Qingfeng's face, Hector touched her face and whispered, "Don't be afraid, your father and mother will definitely come to save you. They will be here soon."

Hearing this, tears streamed down Qingfeng's face. She choked out, "But it was so dangerous. I was afraid something would happen to Father and Mother. It's all Qingfeng's fault. Qingfeng was disobedient and ran away secretly..."

Hector pursed her lips, looked up at Gare's back, hesitated for a long time, but still didn't say anything.

For the past two years, her life has not been easy. Garei is domineering and, having gained power, naturally pays even less attention to her. He has many females around him, and she is just the only one who has survived.

The rain poured down, and after a moment, Garei turned around and looked into the distance.

A strange smile played on his lips: "It's finally here."

Hector's expression tightened, and she followed Garei's gaze. Before she could see clearly, she suddenly heard Qingfeng's shrill voice: "Mother! Qingfeng is here! Mother—"

Her expression changed, and just as she was about to reach out and cover Qingfeng's mouth, Jialei arrived beside her, grabbed Qingfeng by the collar, and lifted her high. The little female's pale face turned bright red as she struggled. The torrential rain lashed against her, and her flaxen hair lay limply on her face, but her gaze remained fixed on one direction.

"Qingfeng!" Qinglan's pupils shrank, and she suddenly transformed into beast form, pouncing towards Jialei!

His eyes were filled with murderous intent; he had never wanted to kill an orc so much.

Gale looked at Qinglan, sneered, and with a wave of his hand, Qinglan's enormous beast form rolled uncontrollably to the side.

"Ah, Father..." Qingfeng stretched out her small hand towards Qinglan, her voice weak.

"Overestimating yourself, you think..." Garei's sneer abruptly stopped. His body stiffened, staring straight in one direction, where Fuying slowly approached. As if obeying someone's command, the torrential rain gradually stopped as she drew near, the sky cleared, and soon a beautiful rainbow appeared.

Fuying reached out her hand to Qingfeng, and Jialei involuntarily let go, the little female flying into Fuying's arms.

"Mother!" Qingfeng was somewhat incredulous, but smelling her mother's scent, she suddenly hugged Fuying's neck and burst into tears: "Mother, Qingfeng was wrong! Qingfeng will never run away again, Mother—"

Fu Ying hugged Qing Feng tightly, patted her back, said nothing, and looked up at Jia Lei.

Qinglan transformed into human form and rushed over, pulling Qingfeng into her arms. Her usually aloof and indifferent tone was unusually anxious: "How are you? Are you hurt? Does anything hurt? Tell your father!"

Seeing Qinglan's anxiety, Qingfeng couldn't stop her tears from falling again.

"Galei, you've gone mad!" The Nightless Marquis stepped forward from the crowd, looking at Galei who was frozen in place. His brows were furrowed, and his seven-colored pupils were full of coldness. It was a disgrace to have a younger brother who would attack a cub.

Hector withdrew her gaze from Qingfeng and looked at Gare, her eyes filled with complex emotions.

She had said it before: Fu Ying was not someone to be trifled with. When she was just an ordinary witch, she was able to save the Bladewing Insect Clan on her own. Not to mention that she has now become the Beast God. Over the years, the Beastman Continent has become a completely different place under her rule and regulations. Garei was just lucky to have gained some abilities. How could he be compared to the Beast God?

That's for the best; otherwise, she doesn't know how many more foolish things Galei would do in the future.

Although Gale's body was stiff and he could not move, his eyes were fixed on the Lord of Nightless City.

Two years later, he saw reproach in the eyes of this abandoned prince once again. Ha! He was clearly a good-for-nothing who had escaped his cocoon by luck, but he just happened to come back when the throne changed hands and took away everything that belonged to him!
Why?
His talent and strength were no less than those of the Nightless Marquis, but he lost everything because of bad luck!
Haha, yes, luck. A piece of trash became the king of the Bladewing Insects because he broke free from his cocoon. Because Hector took a liking to him, he had the opportunity to control the entire Triangle Abyss. And because he had a good female, he became the ruler of a city-state, second only to the king. What a lucky life, a lucky life that makes people envious!

He was about to resign himself to his fate, but what could he do? He unexpectedly received a legacy! A legacy from the Dragon God!
Fu Ying stepped forward, looked at the flames burning in Jia Lei's eyes, and calmly asked, "Have you seen Lie Xiao?"

An immature insectoid race possessing the aura of a dragon god.

Garei paused, his gaze shifting from the Nightless Marquis to Fuying. He opened his mouth, but no sound came out.

Fu Ying slightly lifted the corner of her lips, and Jia Lei's stiff body seemed to soften, staggering and taking half a step back.

He looked up at Fu Ying and sneered, "As expected of the Beast God, you even know that I have met the Dragon God."

"You kidnapped Qingfeng because you wanted to seek revenge against the Lord of Nightless City?" Fu Ying was used to seeing brothers fighting amongst themselves, so he was no stranger to the jealous, envious, and hateful look in Jia Lei's eyes. An enemy lurking in the shadows could bite at any time.

Gare glanced at the males behind Fuying; their expressions were all icy.

He chuckled softly, looked at Fu Ying with a strange expression, and said in a low voice, "Revenge? You underestimate me. What is he to me once you're dead?"
