Chapter 91 Remarks on the launch

Chapter 91 Remarks on the launch
The editor notified me that it's going to be published soon! Ah, I'm a newbie and I've finally waited for this moment (laughs).

To be honest, this book has many shortcomings, and many kind brothers have also given a lot of pertinent advice.

Overall, I actually had a lot of fun writing it.

Before starting, I bothered some friends around me under the guise of gathering material, and found that everyone had some unsatisfactory aspects of their youth. I guess that's just how ordinary people's lives are.

So the protagonist becomes a small-town exam-taker who never had a youth, and before he even finished the exam, he failed halfway through and went to draw instead.

Yeah, I wanted to be a cartoonist when I was little. I copied some sketches from comic magazines and sketchbooks, and then... well, then I went to do my homework...

The book was originally intended to be about a guy who gets a second youth and strives to make his youth without regrets.

As I wrote, I discovered that what I truly desired was a far more fantastical and unrealistic development than reality itself.

I want to slice through the thick clouds on the horizon with a single sword, I want to spread my arms and soar through the sky, and if necessary, I don't mind striking a Superman pose.

I want to see snow-capped mountains and blue skies in the Kunlun Mountains during the day, and walk on the beach in the evening to watch the tides rise and fall and see the sun sink into the horizon.

I want to press a button and make that bastard explode on the spot; I want to resolutely say no to wrong things; I want to change the world single-handedly.

Many more ideas, whether extreme or naive, are imprisoned by the iron cage called reality.

Perhaps, what confines these thoughts is not reality, but my own inadequacy.

It's not surprising. Not everyone can be a supermodel who falls from the sky; otherwise, we wouldn't need to expect one. Suddenly, I understand why I used to like Haruhi Suzumiya. She was clearly a reckless character, and for a while, she seemed like a spoiled and annoying brat, but... she was undeniably youthful.

There is a sense of freedom, where you don't need to weigh gains and losses like a petty adult, but rather simply be yourself.

Therefore, I wanted to write about a person who is true to himself.

Ideally, he'd be a handsome guy (laughs).

Some readers have already noticed that the protagonist's appearance was initially based on a silver-haired boss whose name comes with its own background music, and there was more than one. However, due to the completely different settings in terms of personality, it gradually became the somewhat chuunibyou (delusional) character who is not particularly smart, but at times is also extremely serious about right and wrong.

As for other characters, such as Yurika, her name comes from the female protagonist of a robot anime, and her personality, appearance, and other aspects are also based on real-life prototypes. She evolved into her current form over time. As for who these prototypes are, revealing that would be a spoiler and ruin the reading experience, so feel free to guess, but I absolutely will not admit to anything!
Lately, when I occasionally experience writer's block and my mind goes blank, I seem to hear the characters offering suggestions.

Hmm? It's already a thousand words long.

Logically speaking, when a book is published, one should cry about being poor and miserable, but how should I put it, I feel that my problem is that I'm not strong enough. A chapter is only about three thousand words long, and it takes me half a day to write it before I'm barely satisfied. Usually, I finish writing one chapter in the morning and then write another in the afternoon, and I still have to revise it repeatedly at night. In the end, after publishing it, I still have to trouble the readers to help point out the problems I didn't notice, such as typos... Typos are my lifelong enemy. I'm sorry to my elementary, middle and high school Chinese teachers.

In short, I will work hard to become stronger, and I hope everyone will continue to support me!
Mooncake, the moon, flips 360 degrees and bows in gratitude!
Please subscribe and follow up; this is very important for a new book.

Finally—thank you for reading my book.

PS: Due to system issues, the update will be delayed until the afternoon. Today I'm posting 10,000 words a day, so I won't split it into several chapters; I'll just post three long chapters together.
