Oh no! They all seem a bit off!

Chapter 71 Remarks on the launch

Chapter 71 Remarks on the launch
Brothers, the product launch is tomorrow. Let's talk about the important things first, and then some random thoughts.

The most important issue, of course, is the update problem.

I updated 15,000 words on the day of publication, and then steadily wrote 6,000 words every day. Occasionally, when I was in the mood, I would try my best to update more.

Another point is to reflect on the problems with the plot itself, as some parts have been heavily criticized.

For example, the part about Shiina Maki's mother, where she was given 100,000 yen, and Shiina Maki's choice not to leave her family of origin, were all too silly. Also, the character of Himeyasu was poorly portrayed and overdone.

Also, in the last few chapters, the brothers all felt that they were far-fetched and outrageous.

Perhaps I wasn't in a good state of mind. I was writing more each day, and I also had other things to do in real life, which led to this situation.

I humbly accept all these criticisms and opinions, and I won't offer any further explanations; I'll acknowledge the problems as they are.

Besides, what's done is done, and there's no way I can fix these shortcomings, otherwise the whole thing would be disjointed. I can only learn from my mistakes and try to handle things better in the future.

One by one
Next, I'll share some personal musings.

From the start of the book to its release, it has been mostly about events, with less focus on daily life; the events unfold one by one.

This was the first time the genius had ever been so focused on the plot, and he didn't dare to just post random daily updates. He spent every day thinking about and rehearsing the plot's development several times.

This is the first time I've been this serious. In the past, I would always find myself writing casual posts, but now I'm constantly pushing my limits and trying to think about the plot, even if it means sitting in front of the computer for an hour or two.

The genius plays a lot of visual novels, and influenced by them, he likes to create branches in some key plot points, which then lead to a series of effects and consequences.

The content before the book goes on sale is a prologue, which first describes the character settings of several female protagonists and some of their individual events. Then the main text begins after the book goes on sale.

Of course, this book is not like a visual novel with individual character routes, and its original purpose was not to be like that.

There won't be only three female leads; there will be more. However, due to word count limitations, I haven't written them out, but since I've already mentioned them, I'm sure you all have a sense of it.

After it's released, the story will begin with the other two female protagonists, specifically when Shimizu Rei, her childhood friend, comes to Tokyo to participate in a competition.

As for who the other female lead is, readers who have read this far should be able to guess. I won't go into details about the geniuses.

My thought is that writing too many female protagonists at once would make the story feel bloated; character development needs to be built up gradually through events. Also, writing too much at once, jumping from one topic to another, can easily lead to reader fatigue. So, I plan to release it gradually, since the book is still quite long.

Regarding the character design, most people think that the male lead and Shiina Maki's characters are believable and quite likable.

Maki Shiina downplayed some of her abnormal traits, making her more likable.

She's like a little rabbit—gentle and adorable, yet also possesses the qualities of a loyal dog. She always steps up to help the male lead in crucial moments, and she's completely devoted to him.

If this book were about stock trading, then Maki Shiina would definitely be fully invested by now.

Let me briefly talk about the other two female leads as well. They both have rather abnormal characteristics, like landmines that explode at the slightest touch.

Some people say that Ji Yexue is too overpowered, and I don't deny that. But some people are more extreme and say that if Ji Yexue has this ability, wouldn't it be better to just kill her family members?

This is difficult for me to comment on, so I won't say much.

As for Shiraishi Rin's character design, my original intention was to portray him as a cynical, reckless, and gloomy character, and then slowly develop the plot.

Neither of the two female leads is likable, mostly because they don't like the male lead at this stage, so their way of treating him is unacceptable.

In response, Shenren can only try harder to devise a storyline for the two female leads to make them more likable.

The book's theme is simple: the redemption and transformation of women who are not conventionally attractive.

Just like the characteristics of abnormal women described in the system, their personalities all have fatal flaws.

During the rescue, Makoto Akizuki also gets caught up in the chaos, which eventually turns into a much-anticipated battleground.

Finally, I hope everyone will continue to support Shenren and give him lots of monthly tickets and subscriptions.

orz.

The divine being bows in gratitude.
