Reborn Cat Sheriff

Chapter 322 Ruthless Villains

Chapter 322 Ruthless Villains
Lin Ge is now eager to get in touch with Nie Guoqiang.

But no opportunity could be found.

While Zhao Zhigao was still surprised by Brother Yang's sudden decision to leave early and was even caught off guard, not knowing how to leave clues, Lin Ge heard a shocking and unbelievable message from Brother Yang.

"Da Yang, the entire city's anti-drug squad has been mobilized, and the lead police car has already departed! The target... is most likely your area!"

A young woman's voice uttered words that sent chills down Lin Ge's spine.

How could anyone have such precise control over the movements of the Municipal Public Security Bureau's Narcotics Control Division? Even if you could see the Municipal Public Security Bureau police being deployed, it's not easy for ordinary people to distinguish between the Criminal Investigation Division and the Narcotics Control Division. How did the woman on the other end of the phone manage to do that?
Lin Ge guessed that this woman was probably another accomplice behind Da Yang, Xiao Yang, and Simba, a woman named Sister Hua.

When they are silent, they are mysterious and unpredictable; when they speak, they are as loud as thunder! No wonder the Yang brothers were able to remain arrogant despite the investigation and tracking by the Zhangzhou Anti-Drug Brigade. It turns out that there was someone behind them who was always in control of the police's movements!

Undercover?

Or is there another way?

Lin Ge didn't know, but that didn't stop him from being stunned speechless. Good heavens, the police were planting spies in Brother Yang's camp, and Brother Yang was also planting spies in the police force—they were playing a very clever game of double agents!

Of course, overall, the police's methods are definitely more effective.

At least the police knew of Sister Hua's existence, but Da Yang and Xiao Yang were unaware of Zhao Zhigao's undercover identity. Now, Lin Ge has confirmed that Sister Hua's identity is extremely close to the Municipal Public Security Bureau, and she may even be hiding within the police force. Therefore, it's only a matter of time before she is exposed.

And Zhao Zhigao...

Lin Ge looked up at the head of the person in the front passenger seat, hoping that Zhao Zhigao could demonstrate skills that were no less than Sister Hua's.

"Meow?"

The money tree, rarely so close to Lin Ge, was overjoyed. It glanced at Lin Ge, who was trapped in the car with nowhere to escape, and arrogantly nudged him in the face with its head, then patted him on the head.

Hmm, it has a kind of feeling of a wealthy lady flirting with a young, handsome man.

Lin Ge squatted motionless on the back seat, expressionless, letting the money tree fawn over him. On the other side of the back seat sat Brother Yang, who kept sending messages to someone, his face full of disdain.

The person driving this Mercedes for Brother Yang is Zhao Xin.

As the only one without drug involvement, he was the best choice to be the driver. Even if they encountered a DUI checkpoint or other situations on the road, his lack of criminal record would allow him to effectively cover for the passengers in the back seat.

The passenger seat was occupied by Zhao Zhigao. Because he and Lin Ge were practically inseparable, Brother Yang felt that Zhao Zhigao was in the way and had no choice but to keep him in his car.

Of course, just to be on the safe side, Brother Yang called one of his men to sit next to him.

This guy's nickname is Heizi. He's an unassuming, quiet, and honest fellow. And despite his seemingly unassuming demeanor, he enjoys Brother Yang's complete trust.

In the other Land Rover sat Little Yang, driven by his henchman named Jackie Chan. Little Yang sat in the passenger seat, with Green-haired Monkey and a blind man brought by Simba in the back; no one knew what special abilities he possessed.

The third car was a BMW, driven by one of Simba's men, with Simba himself in the passenger seat. In the back, two of Big Yang's men sat awkwardly, their expressions suggesting they were experiencing withdrawal symptoms.

The fourth vehicle was an ordinary-looking Chang'an minivan.

The rest of the people sat inside, seven or eight of them crammed together. The driver was Brother Ma, who wore a disdainful sneer and hummed a strange song from some unknown country the whole way.

Aside from Yang, Simba, and Chow Yun-fat, only Mark Gor and Jackie Chan seemed to act naturally. Everyone else appeared very nervous due to the sudden urging to act, hastily fleeing the villa without even having time to grab many of their belongings.

"Damn it, what do you do when you get a craving? Why all the secrecy? In the end, you'll still be chasing after the police, won't you?"

A few irritable fellows grumbled among themselves.

"Hehe... Special thanks to all my friends who have worked with me over the years... Special thanks to those who shared the wine of our sworn brotherhood... Special celebration for a beginning and an end... The end, what is it... Only I know..."

Little Ma suddenly started singing, and even though his voice was hoarse, he still swayed his head and inexplicably became absorbed in it.

The group of people who had been whispering amongst themselves paused for a moment. The guy sitting in the passenger seat, who thought he was pretty familiar with Little Ma, looked around and couldn't help but ask, "Little Ma, what song are you singing? It sounds weird and a bit creepy."

"Talking about that bright morning... talking about your loyalty... mixed with tonight's lively atmosphere, it all seems deafening... the feelings we betrayed together... are you happy? Does it belong to you? Am I satisfied?"

Little Ma seemed not to hear, and continued singing merrily. It's just that, for some reason, he mumbled something when he sang the last line.

After singing the modified lyrics, Little Ma casually rummaged through the junk box and pulled out a pack of Honghe cigarettes. Without looking around, he shook one out, put it in his mouth, and without having to bend down, struck a match with one hand. He lit the cigarette, flicked his wrist, and threw the match out the passenger window, almost burning the man next to him in the face.

Having nearly had his eyes gouged out, the guy dared not speak again. He turned and exchanged a glance with the others crammed into the van, all of them showing expressions of deep frustration.

That guy, Ma, is completely impervious to reason!

'Beep beep beep!'

Suddenly, Brother Ma started honking his horn furiously. It turned out that there was a guy riding a motorcycle with his wife on the country road ahead, moving very slowly, which made him show a fierce and ferocious expression.

Sticking his head out the window, Little Ma, with a cigarette dangling from his lips, cursed, "Damn it, are you going to be reincarnated? Want me to give you a ride? Fuck! Get the hell out of here, or I'll throw you into the pond over there!"

While cursing, Brother Ma continued to honk his horn, which startled the motorcyclist, who quickly stopped and scrambled to move aside.

"Ha ha……"

Little Ma laughed wildly, rolling down both the driver's and passenger's windows, letting in a blast of cold air. The passenger even noticed something important: Little Ma wasn't wearing a seatbelt!

"hiss……"

He gasped.

On the other side, Brother Yang was still constantly tapping on his phone.

Using the excuse of avoiding the money tree's harassment, Lin Ge jumped onto the partition of the back window and secretly peeked into Brother Yang's phone.

Brother Yang didn't care, and continued typing with a cold smile on his lips.

"I trust Brother Ma completely, after all, this isn't the first time he's done something like this. But Zhang, why not wait until we're completely out of Zhangzhou before making our move?"

Soon, a response came from the other side.

“Ah Qing, we can’t wait any longer. Sister Hua made it very clear that the police came prepared this time. If we can’t eliminate the risk as soon as possible, we may end up like Da Liang. So don’t worry, Brother Ma will handle things properly.”

Looking at the sentence that appeared on his phone, Brother Yang fell into deep thought.

He pinched his chin thoughtfully, then took out a cigarette from his inner pocket and lit it. The cigarette emitted a different smell than ordinary cigarettes. Lin Ge originally wanted to resist the urge to continue observing, but Brother Yang waved his hand and shooed him aside.

"Is Aqing Brother's real name? But I remember that on his auto repair shop's business license, the name should be Yang Chenghu!"

Lin Ge jumped into the passenger seat, then pressed down on the Money Tree's head to stop it from licking anything, continuing to ponder in his mind: "If A Qing is Big Brother Yang, then A Zhang is probably Little Brother Yang. So what are their real names? In case these guys really manage to escape the police, knowing their real names will make it easier to issue online warrants. Hmm... Also, what exactly did Little Brother Yang mean? What are the risks? But Zhao Zhigao is right here, what's his connection to Little Ma?"

Something felt off, but he couldn't quite place it. Seeing that Brother Yang had finished his cigarette and thrown away the butt, and that the smell of smoke in the carriage had dissipated considerably because Zhao Xin had turned on the external air circulation, Lin Ge, with a roguish grin, leaned close to Brother Yang and unceremoniously craned his neck to look inside.

"Why are you suddenly sticking to me like this?"

Big Brother Yang was a little surprised, but he didn't pay much attention. After all, he felt that he was quite popular with cats, such as Money Tree, who used to cling to him all day long before this rascal cat came.

Besides, even though the contents of the phone cannot be published, what can a cat possibly understand?

Brother Yang squinted and sent another message. "Zhang, just do as you say! Those guys have been eating, drinking, and enjoying my things for over half a year now. Since I've already given so much to them, it's time for them to give back to me."

Lin Ge stared wide-eyed in surprise.

Soon, Brother Yang's reply also appeared on Brother Yang's phone.

"Hehe... It's all arranged. I guarantee there won't be any problems. Little Ma's skills are trustworthy. By the way, what did you say to him? That kid Zhao Gao, are you really going to take him out?"

"How could that be! At most, he'll be allowed to serve as a driver and stay in Yunnan Province. After that, his death is imminent!"

Big Brother Yang typed furiously, glancing out of the corner of his eye at Zhao Zhigao, who was intently watching the road ahead in the passenger seat. Seeing how diligently Zhao Zhigao was helping Zhao Xin observe the road conditions, Big Brother Yang was actually quite satisfied. It was just a pity that he wasn't one of their own.

Brother Yang, who doesn't even care about his fellow villagers, would he care about a stranger from out of town who doesn't share his views?

With money, you can find henchmen anywhere.

With goods in hand, which underling would dare to be anything but loyal to him?
A smile crept across Big Yang's face as he continued typing, "Keep an eye on Uncle Xin's side. I feel like that old man's gotten a bit weak this year. Taking that blind guy along is understandable, but what's that driver anyway?"

"It seems to be his lover's son. I don't know much about his affairs. Hehe... It's okay! When we get back after this is over, we'll kill that guy and that bitch together! That idiot Uncle Xin dreams of having a son of his own, how could that be possible? This old bastard will work for us and then die from drug addiction, that's his only fate. If he has a bloodline that harbors rebellious thoughts, that will be a bigger problem than Sister Hua."

The menacing words left Lin Ge speechless. Though it was just black text on a white background, each character seemed stained with blood.

He never imagined that most of the twenty people in the four cars driven by Yang, Yang, and Simba were already on the death list of these two bastards. They not only didn't spare their own accomplices, but were even plotting against their companions.

Poor old Simba, he probably never imagined that the two Yangs had been plotting to make him completely childless.
These two devilish monsters sent chills down Lingo's spine. He could understand killing to cover up evidence and reduce the burden on the team. But wasn't the reason for attacking Simba a bit too much?

"It's almost time!"

After sending the message, Brother Yang awkwardly brought up the option to clear the chat history and deleted all of his chat with Brother Xiao Yang.

"Drip!"

The phone that Little Ma had placed aside suddenly beeped with a message notification.

He kept his eyes straight ahead and drove with one hand, while his right hand blindly operated his phone. Soon, a voice message belonging to Brother Yang was opened.

"It's almost time."

The abrupt and cryptic message left everyone in the carriage completely confused. However, Brother Yang always acted mysterious when he was in the mood, and his underlings were used to and understood this, so they didn't take the message seriously.

Only Little Ma's smile became even more exaggerated.

He had sung that adapted version of "The Last Supper" seven or eight times. Each time, he changed the lyrics, becoming increasingly confused. Apart from the melody, he himself no longer knew what the rest of the lyrics were about.

But what you say isn't important; what you do is!

Since the boss says the time has come, then the road to the underworld should be right in front of us!
'Buzz...'

Little Ma slammed on the gas pedal, and the wobbly van suddenly accelerated forward with a lurch, roaring as it sped ahead.

Little Ma even turned the steering wheel left and right, making the car swerve in an S-shape on the road.

Even so, no one dared to disturb his reckless behavior.

It's a well-known fact that you shouldn't mess with Brother Ma when he's in a rage. Or rather, everyone in the car has been inexplicably beaten up by him, but Brother Yang's favoritism, coupled with Brother Yang's words of comfort and reassurance, has made everyone put up with it.

In the pitch-black night, the van wobbled and slid recklessly across the snow, looking as if it were about to fall apart. To be honest, the snow was so slippery; it was practically suicidal. Everyone was on edge, but no one dared to speak up.

Forget it! At worst, it's just a minor mishap; I can just bear with it and it'll pass.

"The time is almost up!"

Little Ma drove with increasing merriment, his eyes fixed intently on the road ahead, which was barely visible. He knew this road well; he had driven this way once before, around this time last year. That day, too, there had been a heavy snowfall, and the white snow had covered everything.

"Brother Ma! Watch where you're going!"

The van swayed and bumped its way onto the bridge. Suddenly, a man suffering from motion sickness realized that the van was heading straight towards the gap between the bridgehead and the bridge piers, heading into the dark, invisible space.

"Brother Ma!"

"Stinky horse!"

Everyone instantly snapped to their senses, especially when they saw that Little Ma had a crazy smile on his face and didn't seem to have any intention of turning the steering wheel at all. They all stood up in shock and anger.

"It's too late!"

Little Ma stepped on the gas and suddenly turned the steering wheel a full circle. The van quickly swerved to the side, but due to the slippery ground, it continued to crash into the abyss in the darkness!
"Ah! This is Chujiang... This is... The Last Supper! Hehe..."

With his right hand on the left side of the steering wheel, Little Ma took advantage of the people behind him swaying and the idiot in the passenger seat being trapped by the seatbelt to quickly open the driver's side door, climb out of the car, and laugh at the desperate crowd inside.

"Just to be more precise, this bridge is forty-six meters high! Below it is the Chu River, and... a rocky Gobi Desert!"

With a grin, Little Ma released his right hand and lightly leaped upwards.

The van continued its forward momentum, while Little Ma himself landed on his backside and slid a few meters forward, right on the edge of the cliff. He sat quietly, listening to the screams and howling wind in the darkness below, his grin widening.

"It's truly... a game that's like art!"

With a sigh, Little Ma closed his eyes and lay down, letting half of his body block the road at the bridgehead.

'squeak……'

The screeching sound of brakes grew louder as a Land Rover with its blinding high beams left four distinct skid marks and came to a stop just short of Xiao Ma's. The car's bumper even obstructed Xiao Ma's view, leaving him with only a hair's breadth between himself and the tires.

"You idiot, are you out of your mind?"

Brother Yang got out of the car angrily, and Jackie Chan also got out of the car on the other side. With a simple smile, he grabbed Brother Ma's leg and pulled him out from under the car.

"Hiss...be gentle!"

Brother Ma's butt hurt terribly. He grimaced and shook off Jackie Chan, then smiled at Brother Yang and said, "Sorry, Brother Yang, I was high! I should have known better than to drive. Who would have thought I'd kill so many brothers! Sigh! There are still cops chasing us, and I don't have time to go down and check if anyone survived. Sigh! It's all my fault! I deserve to die! You guys go ahead and don't worry about me. I'll go down and pay for the brothers' lives."

"Snapped!"

Brother Yang slapped Brother Ma hard across the face, startling the two men who had climbed out of the back seat. They were completely bewildered, not even understanding what had happened or why Brother Ma was there. They only saw Brother Yang slap Brother Ma hard, cursing as he shoved him towards the Land Rover. Brother Ma chuckled, opened the trunk, and lightly jumped inside, falling asleep within seconds.

"Stop talking and get going! The hyenas are coming, we don't have time to waste!"

Without bothering to explain, Brother Yang quickly got into the passenger seat and told Jackie Chan to start the car and continue their escape.

Just over ten minutes later, three police cars that had been rushing to catch up came to a stop at the bridgehead. There were very obvious skid marks on the bridge, as well as signs that the car had fallen off the bridge, and even one of the stone pillars had been broken, which was really worrying.

If someone were to fall, could the police simply turn a blind eye?
“Go save people first!”

Lei Hanqin gritted his teeth and closed his eyes.
