Chapter 78 Sang Tian's Disappointment with the Three

Sang Tian snapped out of her daze and looked at Bao Zeming.

“I’m here to prove myself.” Bao Zemin took her hand. “Your beast husbands have gone mad. Not only are they killing each other, but they’re also causing a huge disturbance. They even said that whoever wins will get you. They’re practically objectifying you.”

The information conveyed in those words was too much for Sang Tian to process in a short time. When she arrived at the door and saw the three injured people, the smell of blood at the door was so strong that it made her feel nauseous.

Sang Tian covered her mouth; the scene before her was truly shocking.

"Yes." Qingzhi's jade bracelet transformed into two green strands that wrapped around the doorknob. "Let's eat. Don't get sick over people like this."

Bi Jingyan was unusually quiet, and with her keen sense of propriety, she went to bring out the food.

“Secondhand goods are no good. They’re all so petty and narrow-minded. They’re nothing like me, the first wife, who has such a generous heart. How about I serve the mistress tonight?” Bao Zemin openly mocked.

"It's not very good, just eat your food."

Sang Tian glared at him, then stuffed all the meat into her mouth in a fit of anger, her cheeks puffing out like an angry squirrel.

After dinner, Sang Tian helped Bi Jingyan wash the dishes and took the opportunity to ask him about something.

"How exactly did this happen? Was it instigated by Bao Zemin?" Bao Zemin's personality was unpredictable; Sang Tian couldn't figure out what he was thinking.
"I don't know, I've been cooking in the kitchen the whole time."

Sang Tian smiled and teased him by deliberately drawing out the last syllable, "Bi Jingyan, you wouldn't happen to have fallen for me too, would you?"

Bi Jingyan didn't answer directly, but wrung out the rag and said, "Move aside, I need to wipe the table."

"Work hard and try to get ahead of them." Sang Tian patted his shoulder, turned and left, going upstairs to rest.

Sang Tian lay on the bed, trying to clear her mind. Just as her thoughts were about to drift away, there was a knock on the door.

She guessed it was Qingzhi from the rhythm of the knocking, and said, "Come in."

"This incense has a calming effect; you'll feel more comfortable sleeping if you light it at night." Qingzhi held a tray of incense in a special incense burner shaped like a lotus flower, emitting a wisp of white smoke with a faint fragrance.

Sang Tian looked depressed and exhausted when she talked about what happened today.

She rested her head on Qingzhi's lap and slowly recounted how she had been kidnapped by people from the black market at the trading market. After she finished speaking, she remembered that they hadn't been home all day.

"Where have you been today?"

Sang Tian then realized that she had already rejected Qing Zhi three times!
She looked at Qingzhi, who was on the verge of breaking apart. His eyes were red, and his face was filled with a poignant and broken beauty, which was truly heartbreaking.

"I like you very much too, but I'm not in the mood for romance today. I can't give you any answers or take any concrete actions. I just want to get some rest."
