Chapter 153 Scarlett's Fortune Telling

Harrison watched them walk away and gave them a meaningful smile.

He watched until their figures disappeared around the corner, then looked away, his eyes flickered, and he resumed his jovial demeanor.

He walked over to Lucas, looked at his bruised and swollen face, frowned and clicked his tongue a few times, and said weakly, "Someone, throw him into the backyard to feed the dogs."

Riley and Brian didn't go all out; they simply returned the favor by inflicting all the injuries they had sustained.

Although Lucas was dizzy, he was still relatively clear-headed. Upon hearing the words that would decide his fate, he abruptly looked up, his hand climbing up Harrison's trouser leg. He managed to muster his strength and said, "Young...Young Master..."

Harrison kicked the dirty hand away in disgust. "You, of all people to offend, you had to offend the top males. It's the same every year, and you never listen. See, they found a sugar daddy and immediately established their authority. Serves you right."

"Of course, I sent you to feed the dogs not because of that, but because you embezzled money. Don't think I don't know what you hid in the chaos."

"He's climbed to this position, yet he's still so careless. What a pity."

Harrison opened Lucas's locked drawer, took out the smoke mask and water gun he had hidden, glanced down at him, and said coldly, "You think you're worthy of taking these things!"

After saying that, he took his things and left without looking back.

Two expressionless bodyguards grabbed Lucas by the arms and dragged him to the backyard.

……

……

Scarlett took Riley and Brian to find Ashley.

She arrived at the entrance of the underground hall.

Several pairs of eyes turned to look at them simultaneously.

Needless to say, it was the group of males who had stayed here.

Scarlett's departure was so sudden that they were worried she wouldn't come back, so they waited where they were, their faces visibly tense.

Now that Scarlett is back, their worries have finally been put to rest.

“Ashley, have you done what I asked you to do?” Scarlett asked Ashley.

"Okay, it's done."

Ashley handed Scarlett a thick stack of letters.

Scarlett gripped the letter tightly and said, "Don't worry, I'll definitely deliver it for you."

……

……

"Deliver a letter? Why do we need to deliver a letter? Is it that one too?"

As they walked out, Brian heard that Scarlett was going to deliver a letter the next day and couldn't help but ask.

He didn't say the word "mission," but used other words instead.

Scarlett smiled and said, "No, it's not that. I just helped them out. Besides, Nofigar is a small town; I can ride my bike around it in no time..."

As Scarlett walked, she realized something was wrong. Her eyes swept over the neatly arranged bicycles, and she paced back and forth exaggeratedly, looking around, trying to find her own bicycle among the many.

But after searching around, she couldn't find it.

Staring in disbelief, he shouted, "Where's my bicycle???"

Ashley shook his head, looking even more bewildered than Scarlett.

Neither Riley nor Brian had ever heard of the word "bicycle," so they remained silent for a moment.

"Beep."

Just then, a black sedan pulled up and stopped in front of them. The driver's side window slowly rolled down, and a brown head popped out. The person looked up, raised an eyebrow, and asked Scarlett with a shy smile, "Scarlett, would you like me to take you home?"

It's Harrison.

Ashley frowned.

Riley and Brian exchanged a glance and silently stepped in front of Scarlett.

Showing courtesy for nothing is either cheating or stealing.

Their intuition told them.

This male is not a good person.

Scarlett, however, took a liking to his car, smiled, and said, "Sure."

Scarlett took the initiative to sit in the passenger seat. "I'd like to go somewhere else, thank you for your help."

Scarlett saw the injuries on Riley and Brian and knew they must have suffered in those places.

She decided to use Harrison's identity to rescue all her beastly husbands at once!
Nighttime is the time for revelry.

……

……

A black sedan was parked at the Time Tavern.

Harrison asked with a surprised look, "You want to drink more?"

Scarlett chuckled and said, "I don't just want to drink, I also want to find someone."

"Find someone?"

"Correct!"

Scarlett touched her hand, glanced at Harrison subtly, and whispered, "My father once told my fortune. He said I was destined to have nine husbands, and all nine of them had to be found on the same day, otherwise I would never be rich. So, I've come to find them now."

"Nine husbands?" Harrison made an exaggerated expression, glanced back at the back of the carriage, raised his eyebrows in disbelief, and although he found it strange, he didn't say anything, just chuckled twice, "Really? Do you know where they are?" "Yes."

Scarlett's eyes sparkled.

Harrison's brow furrowed. "Can I help?"

"Harrison, you're such a good person."

Harrison: "..."

……

……

Time Tavern.

Dark basement.

A huge iron cage sat in the corner.

Inside the iron cage was a male with black hair and white skin, his face pale. He sat cross-legged with his eyes closed, his clothes stained with blood and filthy, but he didn't care at all. He pursed his lips and didn't say a word.

"You're really stubborn! It's been a month, and you still won't open your mouth! I refuse to believe I can't handle you!"

The skinny monkey stood in front of the iron cage, holding a horsewhip in his hand. As he spoke, he opened the iron cage, raised the horsewhip, and lashed it hard at the other person.

……

……

Harrison led Scarlett into the Time Tavern.

The two went to the bar and each ordered a whiskey.

The dim lighting and heavy metal music made Scarlett's heart pound.

This was the first time she had ever been to a bar in her life.

It's novel, but it's too noisy.

Harrison, holding up his whiskey, asked curiously, "Scarlett, is your father a fortune teller?"

Scarlett smiled brightly, "Not only can he tell fortunes, but I can too. Would you like me to tell your fortune?"

Harrison's offer to take Scarlett home was partly a test, but now that Scarlett had offered, he naturally wouldn't refuse, and smiled, "Sure, how about it?"

Scarlett said, "Tell me your birth date, then give me your hand."

Harrison held out his hand and casually stated his birthday, "September 12, 3105."

Scarlett held his hand in her right hand, examining the lines on his palm. With her left hand, she counted on her fingers, solemnly reciting his birth date, her brows furrowed and her face serious.

Scarlett doesn't know how to tell fortunes, but she understands the essence of fortune telling.

After a series of actions, she sighed and then said, "Harrison, you're destined to have a lot of money."

Harrison chuckled and said, "My great-grandfather was the richest man in Nofigar, and I am his only heir. Scarlett, you're being redundant."

"However, you are a very sentimental person."

Scarlett ignored his words and continued, "You're not too concerned about money and are generous to your friends. This is both a strength and a weakness. You're easily taken advantage of emotionally, which can lead to losing both money and relationships."

Harrison's smile vanished, and his expression turned serious.

"What you're doing now is a bit of a waste of your talents, yet you're unable to break the deadlock and are stuck in your ways. You need to have confidence in yourself, make full use of your talents, and not blindly follow others."

Harrison paused, taken aback.

The hand holding the wine glass slowly tightened.

"Although you usually seem sunny, cheerful, and kind to others, I can see from the lines on your palm that you are actually full of loneliness and long for someone to truly understand you and accompany you."

"Harrison, you are excellent, loyal and resilient, but your childhood experiences have caused you to lack confidence and often doubt yourself."

"You have to be strong and believe in yourself. These past few years may not have been easy for you, but once you get through this, your future development will definitely be no worse than your great-grandfather's."

Harrison took a big gulp of whiskey.

The complex taste hit his mouth and nose directly, and he couldn't adapt to it for a while, so he choked and coughed incessantly.

Scarlett patted his back to help him catch his breath and asked with concern, "Are you alright, Harrison?"

Harrison looked up, his eyes bloodshot, whether from choking or something else, it was hard to tell.

He grabbed Scarlett's hand and asked anxiously, "Scarlett, is what you said true? Can I really surpass my great-grandfather?"

Scarlett: “…”

I do not know.

She learned these words online before.

You could say something like this even if you put it on a dog.

So she put what she learned into practice.

Scarlett paused for a moment, then gave Harrison a reassuring look. "It's definitely possible."

Harrison took a deep breath and squeezed Scarlett's hand, "Scarlett..."

"Oh, what wind blew young master Harrison over here?"

The owner of the Time Tavern swayed over, her long, curly hair and pretty eyes swaying. She held a slender pipe in her hand, took a puff with a flirtatious air, and blew smoke into Harrison's face. She pressed her elbow against Harrison's shoulder and asked with a grin.
