Chapter 71 Squatting
In the darkness, the rain was still falling outside the airport.

Li Yan's wolf tail gently brushed against Jiang Mian's ankle, as if slowly testing the waters. After finding that Jiang Mian didn't react, it slowly and restrainedly encircled her ankle through a layer of cloth, as if feeling that something was missing through the cloth...

The blackish-gray, frizzy wolf tail moved very slowly down the trouser leg until it touched the woman's ankle skin without any obstruction.

He sat cross-legged like that, his strong arms crossed over his chest, his head slightly lowered, his dark, tousled hair seemingly obscuring the emotions in his eyes.

It seemed that only the tail, which was pressed against the woman's ankle skin, was slightly hot.

His heart was beating very fast and hot, and his throat was extremely dry.

Jiang Mian spent his days playing with his personal computer and his nights sleeping, and finally made it through the third night.

The rain finally stopped in the morning.

"The rain has finally stopped!" Jiang Mian's dark eyes were clear and bright.

She was finally free from those indescribable sounds at night.

"Liyan, let's go back!" Jiang Mian quickly turned her gaze to Liyan.

"Mmm," Li Yan responded softly and hoarsely.

Jiang Mian then noticed that after a burst of crimson, only a faint, messy red remained around Li Yan's dark eyes.

When she looked at Li Yan, he also looked down at her thoughtfully.

His dark eyes, tinged with a messy reddish hue, looked at her, seemingly carrying a deeper, more profound meaning.

She paused, intending to ask if the other person hadn't slept well, but stopped herself in time.

She slept every night for the past three days, but Li Yan did not sleep at all, instead remaining vigilant and protecting her at all times.

"Cough, I can get a good night's sleep when I get back." Jiang Mian smiled slightly. "Orcs must have very good constitutions. They'll be fine even if they don't sleep for three nights."

As she spoke, she reached out her hand, intending to pat the other person's shoulder, but he was too tall, so she patted his muscular and strong arm instead.

Li Yan's heart tingled again, and his arm felt as if it had been gently patted by a feather.

Jiang Mian withdrew her hand, turned around and walked outside. "Let's go, Li Yan."

Li Yan stared at Jiang Mian's back and slowly followed.

The redness under the eyes is not caused by poor sleep, but by being tormented by one's own intense desires.

On the third night, his tail still wrapped around Jiang Mian's ankle, its tip pressed against her skin, and he couldn't help but gently rub it.

But he became increasingly dissatisfied, and influenced by his surroundings, his mind was constantly racing with all sorts of ideas...

Finally, I restrained myself until my eyes turned completely red.

The two of them walked out together.

The black rain fell for three days and three nights, turning the soil black and leaving it damp.

The morning air was still very hot, so much so that when I went outside, the damp and hot air felt like it was sticking to me, making my clothes feel uncomfortable and damp.

Jiang Mian quickly took out the hovercar.

As soon as she opened the car door, several loud gunshots rang out, and Li Yan shoved her into the car seat. The laser bullets hit the door of the hovercar, making a loud, violent shaking sound.

Suddenly, many holes appeared in the doors of the hovercar.

"Go in!" Li Yan said coldly.

The hovercar only had a passenger seat and a driver's seat. Jiang Mian quickly climbed into the passenger seat and squatted down. Li Yan also quickly got into the hovercar, slammed the door shut, and then suddenly lay down on top of Jiang Mian.

The glass dome in front shattered instantly with a loud crash, and shards of glass flew over, grazing Li Yan's back and arms.

Jiang Mian lay on the passenger seat, her heart pounding. How could she have been shot as soon as she stepped out?
Li Yan quickly got up and started the hovercar. Several more gunshots rang out, but the hovercar dodged them, and the laser bullets missed their mark.

Outside the airport, the men who had robbed the airport delivery station earlier looked sinister. Seeing the laser projectile miss again, they cursed, "Damn it!"

Several men once again fired their guns at the hovering car above.

However, the hovering car was flying and dodging at an extremely fast speed, completely avoiding the laser bullets they fired.

The laser projectiles were chasing the hovercar, but the hovercar seemed to be kiting them. They were firing their laser projectiles, but they couldn't hit it.

"Damn it!" the man yelled angrily, wanting to pull out an even bigger thing.

But the next second, her two brothers were suddenly shot, blood splattering everywhere, and they fell backward.

The man was startled and quickly dodged the incoming laser projectiles.

The hovercar was still flying in the sky, but a hand reached out of the window, holding a simple laser gun that easily hit them.

Although the man dodged in time, he was still shot in the knee and could only stumble into a corner with his injured and bleeding leg to escape the attack.

Li Yan had no intention of letting him go; the principle of eliminating the root of the problem must be followed swiftly.

The hovercar swung its tail and appeared in the sky directly in front of the man.

The man looked up in alarm and saw a dark gun barrel pointed directly at him.

The laser bullet pierced his forehead instantly, blowing his head off.

Everyone was dealt with in less than a few minutes.

Li Yan deftly put away his gun and continued driving the hovercar. Jiang Mian, who was lying on the passenger seat, felt the gunshots stop and the hovercar become stable, realizing that it was over.

With his forehead red from banging, he looked at Li Yan with a deep smile and said, "Li Yan, you really have great driving skills."

Li Yan stared at her reddened forehead for a moment, then chuckled softly and asked, "Does it hurt?"

Jiang Mian slowly got up and sat in the passenger seat: "You can also try slamming your head into the hard car door and see what happens."

Before long, she finally noticed the various cuts on Li Yan's body caused by shards of glass.

Blood was seeping from his fingers, arms, and back.

She suddenly remembered that when the glass canopy of the hovercar exploded, Li Yan had been lying above her, shielding her from the flying glass shards.

"Liyan, let's stop and treat the wound first," Jiang Mian said after a moment of silence.

"Stop?" Li Yan glanced at her sideways. "If his companions arrive, it'll be troublesome."

"They have companions? Haven't they been dealt with yet?" Jiang Mian looked at him.

"The ones that have been cleaned up are the ones that are here. As for those that aren't here, it's hard to say," Li Yan said casually.

"Alright then, let's just deal with whatever comes our way." Jiang Mian didn't want to think too much about it.

"Set up the automatic route, and I'll treat your wound for you." Jiang Mian glanced at his bleeding hand; she happened to have a first-aid kit with her.

"Hmm." Li Yan responded, as if he had been waiting for Jiang Mian to say this.
