Chapter 147 Going to the Woods
Helpless, Jiang Lanye gently picked her up and carried her out.

The moon was exceptionally bright tonight. Song Yi reeked of alcohol, like a cat that had been drugged after sneaking a drink. Her body was unusually soft, and she nestled lazily in Jiang Lanye's arms, her arms gently wrapped around his neck.

"Yiyi, look at the moon."

Song Yi felt as if her eyelids were glued shut. She vaguely heard Jiang Lanye's words and struggled to open her eyes.

"Jiang Lanye, your name contains the character 'Ye' (night)."

Jiang Lanye didn't understand why Song Yi suddenly said these things. He raised his eyebrows in surprise and said, "My name was given to me by my father."

Song Yi mumbled, "What a coincidence! Sometimes, I feel like you're my moon."

After saying this, she didn't notice the change in Jiang Lanye's expression, closed her eyes again, and said:
"So sleepy—"

All was quiet, and the soldiers had all gone to sleep, with only a few people on night watch.

Jiang Lanye looked at her with tenderness in his eyes and asked softly, "Do you want to go back to sleep? Or sleep here?"

Even though he was so drunk, Song Yi still wanted to take a bath, so he immediately said, "Let's go back. You can't take a bath here."

Jiang Lanye licked his dry lips, and his voice was hoarse when he spoke again.

"Or, how about I take you on horseback to sober you up first?"

She had completely lost the ability to think, and she would agree to whatever Jiang Lanye said, nodding haphazardly a couple of times.

Jiang Lanye stopped talking, lifted her onto the back of the horse, sat behind her, put his arm around her waist, and pulled her closer to him.

"Yiyi, there seems to be a small grove of trees nearby. I'd like to go take a look, is that alright?"

Song Yi was both sleepy and drunk, unable to tell whether it was more from being drunk or sleepy. She only heard him mention something about a grove of trees, and couldn't help but laugh: "You want to go to the grove of trees with me?"

Jiang Lanye had already guessed what she meant by the grove of trees. Seeing her drunken state and unaware of the danger, he couldn't help but chuckle.

"Yes, I really want to go. Will you come with me?"

".good."

Jiang Lanye gripped the reins and galloped towards the distant grove of trees under the moonlight.

Of course, he did not put Song Yi down.

Because the grove is overgrown with weeds, it's easy to get scratched.

Jiang Lanye rode his horse slowly and aimlessly through the grove.

He held Song Yi tightly in his arms and thoughtfully wrapped her up in his cloak, afraid that she would catch a cold.

After an unknown amount of time, Song Yi finally couldn't help but let out a soft moan of discomfort. Jiang Lanye quickly kissed her earlobe in a comforting tone, his voice low and husky, carrying a hint of seduction.

"Trust me, I won't make you suffer."

The horse moved very slowly, simply trotting its four hooves back and forth through the grove.

Song Yi sat on the horse, her body swaying uncontrollably, completely beyond her control.

A fine sheen of sweat appeared on her forehead, her eyes were unfocused, and when she looked up at the sky, she felt as if the moon had vanished, or perhaps she was just seeing things.

The stars in the sky seemed to have multiplied, gleaming with a white light.

When Song Yi woke up again, she was on her bed in the room.

She had been thoroughly washed, changed into her nightgown, and her hair was neatly combed, exuding a faint fragrance.

She felt a headache and instinctively tried to turn over to adjust her sleeping position, but then she felt a soreness in her lower back and hips.

Song Yi felt uncomfortable and irritable. She gripped the corner of the blanket and tried to pull it off.

Immediately afterwards, her hand, which was trying to lift the blanket, was quickly covered by a large hand, which firmly grasped her hand and pulled the blanket back over her.

Jiang Lanye touched her forehead, then couldn't resist giving her a light kiss on the corner of her lips, and asked softly:
"wake up?"

Song Yi gave a muffled reply and asked, "Where is this?" Jiang Lanye replied, "You're back. Last night you were too drunk, and you said you wanted to take a bath, so I brought you back."

Song Yi vaguely remembered what Jiang Lanye had said.

But it doesn't seem to be entirely correct.

He seems to have omitted what happened in between.

Seeing that Song Yi was standing there blankly without speaking, Jiang Lanye assumed that she was still a little dazed from the hangover. He sat up and said, "I'll go get you a bowl of hangover soup. Drinking it should make you feel better."

Song Yi suddenly reached out and grabbed his robe. The force was very slight, but Jiang Lanye felt it and lay back down.

"what happened?"

She whispered, "I had a dream last night that we went to the woods together."

A hint of guilt flashed across Jiang Lanye's usually calm eyes. He placed his hand on her slightly sore waist and asked in a low voice:
"and then?"

"And then... I can't remember, Jiang Lanye, I really don't want to ride a horse again. It's so bumpy on horseback, it makes my back ache."

Jiang Lanye inhaled the fragrance emanating from her and responded faintly.

His hands kept moving, carefully squeezing, as if apologizing for his recklessness last night.

Song Yi narrowed his eyes and said, "Today is the anniversary of the late Empress's death. Where should we go?"

Jiang Lanye hugged her tightly and said, "You can come with me when the time comes. You were drunk last night, so it's normal to feel tired today. I'll go get you some hangover soup."

"it is good."

Jiang Lanye got out of bed and went outside.

Song Yi narrowed her eyes, something just didn't feel right.

While Jiang Lanye was out, she unbuttoned her clothes and looked down at her waist.

There really were traces.
Otherwise, why would she have back pain when she was perfectly fine?

So, what she was having wasn't a dream at all.

Recalling Jiang Lanye's feigned innocence just now, Song Yi couldn't help but grind her teeth.

She leaned against the headboard and saw Jiang Lanye walk in with a bowl of hangover soup, his expression unchanged. Song Yi couldn't help but say:
"Jiang Lanye!"

Her sudden shout immediately alerted Jiang Lanye, who knew she had remembered and preemptively said:
"Do you even know how clingy you are when you're drunk? You're making a scene, insisting that I take you for a walk in the woods."

Song Yi: "."

She was drunk after all, and her memory was fragmented. After hearing what he said, it seemed that there was indeed such a thing.

She thought about it carefully, but she was still angry.

"Then you can't either."

Jiang Lanye raised an eyebrow and deliberately asked, "Can't what?"

Song Yi couldn't say it.

Taking advantage of Song Yi's inability to speak, he continued to ask, "What's wrong with me? You have to tell me so I can know."

Song Yi glared at him.

"If I do something wrong and upset you, tell me specifically what I did wrong, so that I can correct it in the future."

Song Yi felt dizzy and took the hangover soup from Jiang Lanye's hand, gulping it down in large mouthfuls.

I can't get drunk anymore, otherwise someone might easily get what they want to do.
