Chapter 31 Who are you going to fire?
"Zhaozhao is back!"

As soon as Qin Zhao entered the room, he heard Qin Qiong's infectious voice, and a smile unconsciously appeared on his face.

After quickly replying to her work messages, Qin Qiong couldn't wait to turn her attention to her precious child.

Zhao Zhao seems to have grown a little taller recently, although only by 6 millimeters, which proves that her nutritional diet is still effective.

For boys, it's best if they can grow to 1.8 meters tall.

"How did you get your clothes dirty?" Qin Qiong paused when he saw the dirt on her coat.

This spot doesn't seem like it was dirtied by him. Qin Qiong is very perceptive. While speaking, he observes Qin Zhao's expression: "You weren't bullied, were you? If you were, you must tell your mother."

Not wanting her to worry, Qin Zhao shook his head and simply brushed it off in a few words: "I just ran into someone whose milk tea was accidentally spilled."

"Are you alright?" Qin Qiong pulled her around in a circle, and Qin Zhao let her do as she pleased, a bit like a dancing bear in a cartoon.

She chuckled: "No."

"It's good that you're alright." Qin Qiong was relieved and patted her shoulder. "Go to your room and change. I'll have Aunt Wang take it to the laundry room later."

No sooner had Qin Zhao left than the phone rang in the security room.

Aunt Wang answered the phone, muted it, and looked at Qin Qiong with a complicated expression: "Madam, Zhirou is here again."

Qin Qiong frowned slightly, almost imperceptibly: "High school students aren't on holiday yet, are they?"

"Why would they care about that? They've already got other plans in mind. Ms. Lin has always wanted to send her child to our family. Zhirou isn't a little kid anymore, and her mind has long been influenced by her mother."

Don't take offense, but sometimes you just have to be a little tougher. Every time they come over, they take food and gifts, and turn the house upside down.

Wang Sao felt sorry for her employers, calling them vampires. She felt that even praising them was too much, as they didn't even have the awareness of vampires, no sense of gratitude, and even tried to sow discord and take their place.

Qin Qiong rubbed his slightly sore eyes: "Let her in. It's not good for her to stand at the door."

Aunt Wang sighed and agreed.

In other words, the host family has been wealthy for a long time and has become too tolerant. If she were wealthy, she would have already broken off relations with those distant relatives who were annoying her.

After receiving a positive response from the security booth, Xia Zhirou was asked to board the shuttle bus.

Xia Zhirou, however, put on airs: "I already said I'm going home."

After she finished speaking, she raised her chin and stretched out her arm.

The newly arrived Xiao Liu pondered for a few seconds, then tentatively slung the bag from the suitcase, which was less than 20 centimeters from her hand, over her arm.

Xia Zhirou nodded in satisfaction and swayed her hips as she boarded the shuttle bus.

Xiao Liu: "..."

"Be careful when you get your suitcase, don't scratch it. It's a classic LOUIS VUITTON model."

The residents of Rose Garden are all wealthy and influential. As a security guard, Xiao Liu is familiar with many brands, but this is the first time he has encountered one that emphasizes brand so much.

Out of professional courtesy, he still gave a standard smile and replied, "Don't worry, it won't scratch you."

Looking at the luxurious yet understated villa with its sophisticated design, Xia Zhirou felt the air was much fresher.

This is where she should be.

The security guard put the suitcase away as instructed by Aunt Wang. Xia Zhirou looked around but couldn't find her slippers: "Where are my shoes?"

Aunt Wang pointed to the disposable slippers on the ground: "Here they are."

Although it's advertised as disposable, the quality is far superior to that of hotel toiletries, and it can be worn for a considerable time. It's just that guests only wear it once before replacing it with a new one.

“I meant my pair, not the guest’s slippers.”

"Besides the four owners' slippers, someone cleans and tidies them up every day," Aunt Wang said, neither humble nor arrogant.

Her meaning was clear: only the owner's slippers would be left here; this isn't your home, there's no need to keep your slippers.

Xia Zhirou scoffed. A mere servant dared to put on airs in front of her. She stretched out her right foot and said with a forced smile, "Then please squat down, Auntie, and change my shoes."

She said it was troublesome, but her expression showed that she didn't find it troublesome at all.

Aunt Wang's eyes turned cold for a moment, but she still wore a polite but distant smile: "Sorry, changing shoes is not part of my job. When I was five years old, I wouldn't let anyone help me put on my shoes."

Your arms and legs look fine; is there something you're having trouble telling me about?

"A servant with such a sharp tongue, daring to mock his master. Believe me or not, I'll get my uncle to fire you!"

Whom are you going to fire?

Xia Zhirou stiffened upon hearing Qin Qiong's voice, a flash of disgust crossing her eyes, but she quickly composed herself and called out in a strained voice, "Auntie~"

"Long time no see, I've missed you so much~" Xia Zhirou nimbly kicked off her shoes, put on the guest slippers that Aunt Wang had prepared, and took Qin Qiong's arm. "I'm just worried that you're too lenient with the servants and they might neglect them. I don't care if they neglect me, but I'm afraid they'll neglect you and Uncle."

"Are you saying I have management problems?"

Xia Zhirou's expression froze: "No way, how could you think of me like that? Aunt, do you have a problem with me?"

“Aunt Wang has worked at home for almost twenty years, managing the household very well and taking good care of us. She has both merit and hard work. She is not a servant, and there is no neglect involved.” Qin Qiong calmly pulled her arm away. “You are overthinking it.”

Xia Zhirou's skills were still too shallow. Qin Qiong easily deflected her attack, and she forgot how to continue acting.

Xia Zhirou went back to the hotel to change before coming over. She wore a shapely knit dress, her full figure almost spilling out.

It wasn't that Qin Qiong had a problem with fitted dresses, but Xia Zhirou's outfit and makeup, to put it bluntly, gave off a worldly vibe that was inappropriate for her age.

But she was only seventeen years old and not yet an adult.

Qin Qiong had tried to subtly remind him, but instead, he was met with complaints.

She looked away and took a sip of tea: "Your school isn't on holiday yet, is it? What time is your flight? I'll have Uncle Li take you to the airport."

"What's the point of school classes?" Xia Zhirou was displeased. Why did this woman try to drive her away as soon as she arrived? She must be afraid that her brother and uncle would like her. She's so old, yet she's still acting like a little girl.

She rolled her eyes inwardly, pursed her lips, and continued in her usual tone, "My mom agreed to let me stay here for a while. Auntie, you're not going to kick me out, are you?"

"You are still young, you should focus on your studies."

"But the holidays are coming up soon, it won't matter if I miss a few days of school," Xia Zhirou said matter-of-factly. "Auntie, where are you planning to go on vacation? Can I come along?"

Qin Qiong was also forty years old, and Xia Zhirou's worldliness and scheming were not out of her sight.

After all, she had watched her grow up, so she couldn't help but feel a little regretful.

Xia Zhirou's eyes darted around, and before Qin Qiong could answer, she complained, "Auntie, you have no idea how unlucky I was today. Someone dressed head-to-toe in knock-offs spilled milk tea all over me, ruining my brand-new dress! My mom won't give me any money back. That dress was the latest style from Lujia, which I saved up for so long to buy. I'm heartbroken, boohoo~"
