Chapter 137 That Was My First Kiss
Qin Zhao raised his eyelids slightly and looked at him: "Don't most people just ask if it tastes good?"

"If you like it, then it's delicious," Shen Yanci said casually, with a relaxed and languid air. "Would you like something that doesn't taste good?"

"..."

He squinted slightly and asked again, "Do you like it?"

Qin Zhao glanced at him, gave a mumbled "hmm," and had crumbs of pastry stuck to the corner of his mouth.

Shen Yanci smiled and said, "Next time I find something delicious, I'll bring it back for you."

Qin Zhao slowed down her chewing, lowered her eyelids, and felt a warm sensation on her chin.

Her eyelashes trembled, and her lips were gently caressed by her fingertips.

Shen Yanci was initially just unable to control himself. The delicate lips and soft touch melted on his fingertips. His Adam's apple bobbed slightly, his eyelids half-closed, and his eyes darkened. His initial feelings had changed.

Qin Zhao turned his head, his fingertips tracing her cheek before falling into the void.

She looked at him with her lips pursed.

He glanced at her expression and blurted out, "You didn't bring any tissues."

I wiped her face with my hands because I didn't have any tissues with me.

Qin Zhao lowered his head, took out a pack of tissues from his pocket, and handed it to him.

Shen Yanci stared at the tissue for two seconds, then slowly tore open the packaging, pulled out a tissue, unfolded it, and held it to Qin Zhao's lips as if to wipe them.

"..."

Qin Zhao pushed his arm away: "What are you doing?"

Shen Yanci raised an eyebrow: "Didn't you ask me to wipe it for you with a tissue?"

"..."

"I told you to wipe your own hands." Qin Zhao rubbed the corner of her lips with the back of her hand, glanced at him, and said, "Don't touch me."

How did I touch you inappropriately?

"You were just... I'm not without hands."

"Wiping your mouth doesn't mean you're getting handsy." Shen Yanci looked at her. "What's wrong with boys wiping their mouths? You're hiding something."

Qin Zhao scoffed, wondering how he could say such things with his eyes wide open: "Have you forgotten what you said?"

He pretended not to understand: "What did you say?"

Her lips moved, but she was defeated by his shamelessness. Lin Shi was sometimes right in his criticisms; Shen Yanci really was quite the repressed pervert.

She turned her head away, refusing to look at him.

Shen Yanci lifted her eyelids slightly, her bright eyes revealing the unspoken understanding: "Should I say I like you?"

"..."

Qin Zhao put down the fork, stood up abruptly, and closed the macaron box: "It's getting late, I'm going back to sleep."

Her wrist was firmly restrained, and Shen Yanci gripped her hand: "How long do you plan to hide?"

Qin Zhao tried to pull it out twice but couldn't. She looked at him stubbornly and said, "You said you were just giving me macarons."

"You believe whatever I say?" Shen Yanci stood up as well, instantly overshadowing the light emanating from her.

Qin Zhao subconsciously took a few steps back.

Shen Yanci approached step by step, his chest rising and falling slightly: "You're so obedient, why don't you dare admit that you like me?"

His pupils were so dark that Qin Zhao was startled. After two seconds, she finally managed to find her voice: "Don't be as narcissistic as Lin Shi."

Shen Yanci neither confirmed nor denied it, and raised her wrist: "Where's your watch?"

"It's charging. It broke down recently. I'll get it fixed another day."

She answered in one breath why she wasn't wearing a watch and denied having an irregular heart rate at the club. "Really?" Shen Yanci pulled out a clip-like object from somewhere. "I have a more accurate one here. Let's see if you're lying."

It was a small white box-like thing with a display screen on it, which could be opened from the middle to hold your fingers.

Qin Zhao had never seen anything like this before, and resisted by curling his fingers into a fist: "Why should I listen to you?"

"If you're not guilty, what are you afraid of?" Shen Yanci's gaze fell on her clenched fist. "As long as you say you don't like me, and the verification passes, I won't mention this matter again."

He looked at her: "Isn't this what you wanted?"

Qin Zhao's grip loosened for a moment, and she moved her wrist, and Shen Yanci released her hand as she wished.

The moment she put her index finger in, she withdrew her hand and looked directly at him: "Shen Yanci, whether you like him or not isn't that important."

His eyes were too dark, and Qin Zhao lowered his eyelids: "Is it possible that you don't like me at all, and that all of this is just an illusion?"

“Maybe you just had a sudden whim, or maybe you were just confused. I’m not what you think I am at all.” She pursed her lips. “I really think things are fine as they are now, and I don’t want to ruin it.”

"Zhaozhao," Shen Yanci called to her, "what kind of person do you imagine me to be?"

Qin Zhao sighed: "Contrary to the truth about me."

What are you really like?

Qin Zhao remained silent.

"When we first met, you called me brother. At the time, I didn't think much of it, I just thought your eyes were big and bright."

"I didn't explain because it was for fun. But when I saw you being pushed and bumped into the island platform by Lin Shi, and then you smiled at me distantly, I suddenly regretted it."

"For the sake of harmony, you pretended to be fine and endured your injuries alone. You have your own philosophy of survival, but I don't know why, from that time on, I seemed to see you, and my gaze fell on you intentionally or unintentionally."

"You just jumped from such a high place in the stadium without warning," Shen Yanci said, her eyelids drooping slightly. "And you even kissed me."

"..."

Qin Zhao: "That was an accident."

"Qin Zhao, that was my first kiss."

"..."

"Then how do we calculate it... I also..." Qin Zhao's words were incoherent, but when he saw Shen Yanci's feigned innocent and pitiful expression, he shut his mouth again.

“I was really angry at the time. After you kissed me, you acted like nothing happened. You not only wiped your mouth but also spat out.”

Qin Zhao couldn't quite remember. Did he?
Shen Yanci snorted. He wasn't gay yet, and she didn't seem to care, as if it made him seem pretentious.

"You seem well-behaved and kind, yet you maintain your own boundaries. You seem to have many sides: the first is well-behaved, the second is cunning and aloof, and the third is pure kindness."

His voice was low and magnetic as he spoke slowly.

Qin Zhao sighed softly, fidgeting with her fingers. She knew that Shen Yanci had misunderstood her.

Shen Yanci: "Do you remember when you blocked the basketball for me and then pretended to be pitiful with your palm drooping?"

Qin Zhao retorted, "What did I do?"

“You seem to have always been indifferent to your health, and many things that happened afterward.” Shen Yanci said, “You think you’re fine, so you pretend to be. But the truth is, you were indeed wronged, so you are in trouble, and there’s no need to pretend.”

Qin Zhao pressed his lips together and stopped clenching his fists.

"Qin Zhao, whether you pretend something's wrong or not, it will still hurt me. If you pretend something's wrong, it will hurt me even more."

Qin Zhao felt that she might really need to see a psychologist. A sudden feeling of irritability welled up inside her, and she felt very annoyed.

She moved her lips, looked up at him, and said, "Shen Yanci, can you please stop? It's too mushy."

Shen Yanci grabbed her wrist again: "No."

"..."
