Chapter 21 I really owed you something in my previous life

After saying goodbye to Fu Yiyi, Wen Jinnian took advantage of the time while Jiang Shu was waiting for Zhou Shiyi, and hurriedly got off the elevator with a random excuse.

She hailed a taxi back to Kowloon Tong and slept soundly for the entire afternoon.

After dinner, she received a call from Fu Yiyi, urging her to go to the Gentry Club, saying that there was something extremely important to discuss.

He turned around, went back to his room, brought out a carved round stool, sat down by the door, and left the door slightly ajar.

Less than five minutes later, a waiter hurriedly walked into the "999" private room that had been switched, carrying a tray with a bottle of incense on it.

He tiptoed in and came out again a short while later, his face showing no sign of anything amiss.

Dragging footsteps echoed from the end of the corridor. Wen Jinnian peeked through the crack in the door and saw Chi Yige being helped along. His white shirt was half-open, veins bulging on his neck, but his eyes remained cold.

Just as the waiter's hand was about to touch the "999" doorknob, she suddenly pushed the door open and stepped out, her high heels clicking on the floor: "Wait! My brother has had too much to drink, I'll help him up."

The waiter was clearly nervous, and his words became somewhat stammering: "This...this isn't appropriate, I...I have to take him to his room."

Wen Jinnian smiled faintly, her eyes revealing an undeniable firmness: "If you don't believe me, ask him."

Chi Yige looked up in surprise. What was Wen Jinnian doing here?

After saying that, she threw the bag in her hand directly at Chi Yige, saying, "Take it."

Immediately afterwards, she bent down, grabbed the waiter's arms with both hands, and struggled to drag him into the room.
