Shrouding the Heavens: The Ultimate Daoist Venerable

Chapter 261 The Method of Merging with the Dao

Chapter 261 The Method of Merging with the Dao
Of course, it sounds very easy, as if it were as easy as Ye Fan comprehending the elixir of immortality in human form, but in reality, the method of transformation of the Celestial Venerable of Morality is not so direct, nor can it be so direct.

The method of transformation that the Celestial Venerable of Morality is preparing at this time does not rely on the physical body, but relies entirely on his own Great Dao and laws to merge and resonate with the Great Dao and laws between heaven and earth, step into a state of harmony with the Dao, and then return from the Great Dao and laws of heaven and earth.

In other words, the Celestial Venerable of Morality seeks to transform himself into a fragment of the Great Dao, imbued with an undying true spirit, and merge with the Great Dao of Heaven and Earth, continuously absorbing its essence to grow. Ultimately, he will use the aura within his place of transformation as a foundation, employing a grand formation to reunite the scattered fragments of the Great Dao, thus achieving rebirth. This method can be called the Method of Merging with the Dao.

The Celestial Venerable of Morality captured the essence of the Great Dao of the universe and the fragments of the Great Dao containing immortality within these two divine trees through his study of the Bodhi Tree and the Enlightenment Tea Tree. This enabled him to condense similar fragments of the Great Dao and combine them with the Great Dao of Heaven and Earth.

This seems like utterly suicidal. After all, while your individual strength is formidable, your Dao is still insignificant compared to the Dao of the vast universe. This is akin to throwing a handful of needles into the ocean and then trying to retrieve them one by one. Furthermore, your fragments of Dao might even merge with fragments of the laws of heaven and earth, transforming into something entirely new. In that case, you wouldn't be yourself anymore; how could you possibly reunite?

Of course, the Celestial Venerable of Morality wasn't such a reckless person. He had taken several precautions. First, the undying true spirit contained within his fragments of the Great Dao was even more resilient and indelible than it had been during his previous transformation. This was the result of the Celestial Venerable of Morality gathering wisdom from various sources, drawing inspiration from the secrets of the previous character and Liang Yu's series of primordial spirit cultivation techniques, and further enhancing them.

In this state, his fragments of the Great Dao will not truly merge into the Great Dao of Heaven and Earth. Moreover, this also ensures that his consciousness will not be completely extinguished, and that he can be rescued even if something goes wrong.

Secondly, the fragments of the Great Dao of the Celestial Venerable of Morality will only scatter within the Great Luo Immortal Mountain, and will not drift into the outside universe. In this way, the fragments of the Great Dao of the Celestial Venerable of Morality can both absorb the laws of heaven and earth to continuously grow through the connection between this wondrous place and the origin of the universe; and they can also use its self-contained nature to control and shrink its scope, ensuring that these fragments of the Great Dao always drift within this wondrous place of the Great Luo Immortal Mountain, or even within its core Xuandu Cave, and cannot enter the outside world. Within such a small space, it will be much easier for them to reunite in the future.

In this way, he can greatly reduce the risk without affecting the process of transformation and growth.

Finally, the Celestial Venerable of Morality had one last safeguard: a fragment of the Great Dao containing an indestructible true spirit that he had integrated into the Bodhi Ancient Tree.

If he succeeds, then all will be well. This fragment of the Great Dao will allow him to further comprehend the mysteries of the Bodhi Ancient Tree, truly delve into it, merge with it, explore the essence of this divine tree, and thus greatly accelerate his own growth.
Even if he fails, this fragment can serve as his main body, slowly growing thanks to the immortal nature of the Bodhi Tree, eventually allowing him to be reborn.

In other words, the Celestial Venerable of Morality actually employs two methods of transformation simultaneously. The former, the transformation into the Dao followed by the union with the Dao, is his desired goal. Once achieved, he can further become a true innate Dao body and truly comprehend the great laws of the universe. The latter is his hope for return should he fail.

It can be said that although the Celestial Venerable of Morality's plan was very difficult, his numerous backup plans greatly reduced the risks. However, like the Celestial Venerable of Spiritual Treasure, it will probably take him quite some time to succeed.

After Liang Yu and Yuanshi Tianzun fully saw through the Daode Tianzun's plan, they were both speechless. Admittedly, it was indeed a very ingenious and daring method, but the risk was simply too high.

These two, Lingbao Tianzun and Daode Tianzun, seem to be playing increasingly extravagant games, both clearly enjoying challenging themselves with high-difficulty tasks.

In fact, among the transformations on the Path to Immortality in the Mortal World, the most orthodox method is based on the primordial spirit and the physical body. Looking at those who have embarked on the Path to Immortality, and even those who will follow, most of their transformations are related to the primordial spirit and the physical body. After all, these two aspects are indeed easier to achieve results in if one wants to attain immortality. Although Lingbao Tianzun's transformation used array patterns, it also started from these two points. As for Daode Tianzun, the first Daoist known to Liang Yu to have developed his own unique physique, he not only did not continue along this path of physique development, but instead sought a different way, wanting to be reborn through his own Great Dao Laws.

The method used by Lingbao Tianzun is still quite imitable, but the method used by Daode Tianzun is much more difficult. However, the method of integrating one's own immortal true spirit into a fragment of the Great Dao, and then placing it into the elixir of immortality to grow together with it, is something worth learning and referencing.

Yuanshi Tianzun couldn't help but sigh, "Fellow Daoist Daoist Daode, I thought Fellow Daoist Lingbao was already bold enough, but I didn't expect you to be even more daring in your thoughts and actions."

Liang Yu said, "Fellow Daoist Morality truly lives up to the name of Daoist Venerable. We have never heard of such a method before."

It can be said that although Lingbao Tianzun's method was peculiar, it was within Liang Yu's expectations. However, Daode Tianzun's method was something he had not anticipated.

The Celestial Venerable of Morality laughed and said, "It was just a sudden inspiration of mine; I'm not really sure about it myself. If something goes wrong, I'll need the help of you two fellow Daoists."

Liang Yu shook his head and said, "Fellow Daoist Morality is too modest. With this ancient Bodhi tree here, the only difference between you and me is the magnitude of your achievements and the length of time it takes."

The Celestial Venerable of Morality said, "As expected, I couldn't hide it from you, fellow Daoist."

The Heavenly Venerable of Primordial Beginning's eyes flashed with divine light as he gazed at the fragments of the Great Dao within the ancient Bodhi tree, lost in thought. He seemed to have gained some insight and remained silent.

After a while, the two of them, having basically mastered the method of the Celestial Venerable of Morality, stepped back a bit. Immediately afterwards, the Celestial Venerable of Morality's body began to disintegrate and dissipate, leaving only invisible fragments of the Great Dao that began to merge into the world, gradually connecting and fusing with the primordial laws of the Great Luo Immortal Mountain, and further linking with the laws and Great Dao of the Great Universe.

"See you in the next life, everyone."

As he spoke, the body of the Celestial Venerable of Morality completely vanished into nothingness, leaving only those special fragments of the Great Dao. These fragments were confined by the wondrous Great Luo Immortal Mountain and the great array he left behind, preventing them from scattering and drifting away, but instead remaining in this world.

Liang Yu and Yuanshi Tianzun left Daluo Immortal Mountain. Under the manipulation of the Taiji Diagram, this immortal mountain, like Yuhua Divine Island, flew into the depths of the universe and was never seen again.
