Chapter 804 A Friend of mine wants to interview you
The day after the press conference, at Avengers Base.

Tony pulled off a major operation last night, resulting in almost the entire Avengers team being assembled today. Well, not exactly everyone; Thor is still at home with his dad, and T'Challa is still in Wakanda, only participating in the meeting via video.

"Guess what? Yesterday, the Pentagon spokesperson said we were suspending cooperation, and last night, before I even slept, the Pentagon's phones were ringing off the hook."

Tony, who was lying on the sofa in the center of the Avengers' new base, sat up with a smile, picked up a glass of wine and took a small sip: "You all have no idea how pleading General Ross sounded last night, hahaha."

"Actually, I was there last night... strictly speaking, Hulk was there."

Banner, sitting to the side, added that yesterday, after the captain helped Tony in to rest, Hulk also came over to express his concern—he gave Tony a Burger King burger. Hulk remembered that Tony liked it, so he jumped to a Burger King at a gas station in New Jersey to buy it.

Then Hulk witnessed Tony talking to General Ross while eating a hamburger. Tony didn't say more than a few words before turning on speakerphone so that Captain America and Hulk could also listen.

Everyone laughed when they heard this. After Hank finished laughing, he asked Tony, "And then? What did you and General Ross talk about in the end?"

“I told him that the arc reactor issue is not a military issue, but a technological issue, a technological revolution, and I don’t think the Pentagon is well-suited to lead this issue. Then a few minutes later, Matthew Ellis called.”

Compared to General Ross, Matthew Ellis has always had a very good public image, and has always presented himself to the public as someone who "bridges national divisions and makes amends for national mistakes." Even though Malekith controls the portal between the two worlds, they have no intention of doing so.”

That might simply be because they couldn't beat them.

If the whole world builds Arc Reactors and starts using them, they will soon realize that generating electricity from oil is a very foolish thing." Peter listened to this, and he was certain that Tony must have had a very difficult time making this decision, and that it meant that it brought the Avengers an even greater task: in the future, a whole batch of supervillains powered by old-fashioned Arc Reactors would emerge, and the Avengers would inevitably have an obligation to deal with them, which is what Tony called armored warfare.

Tony was confused. He was about to say something, but in the end, he chose to leave the matter to Peter: "This is your job, Spider-Man. You know, you're the only one among us who's hiding his identity, and you're the only one who's suitable for this. If you think there's a problem with this, mobilize your street buddies. I trust you. If something serious happens, notify the Avengers immediately."

Peter nodded. This was indeed something he would be investigating next. However, there was another matter he wanted to ask Tony for a favor: "Also, I have a friend who interns at the Daily Bugle. She asked me if I could find a way to interview you."

“The Daily Bugle… Jonah Jameson didn’t say anything sarcastic, but didn’t he and you have a bad relationship?”

"Jonah and I just have a prejudice against each other, and his prejudice against me won't affect what I do. Besides, I'm just helping my friend out."

Tony thought for a few seconds, then looked at Peter: "You can take pictures, right? Want to be on the front page?"
