Chapter 782 Fatty Infiltrates
Earth 1616, Daily Bugle Building.

The balding, elderly Jonah Jameson stared in shock and rage at the group of damned supervillains threatening him, especially when he saw McDonald Gagan standing in front of him. He roared, "Damn Scorpions! You dare threaten a journalist who has upheld justice for decades? Do you think your threat will have any effect?"

"justice?"

Upon hearing this, Scorpion paused for a moment, then burst into laughter: "Jonah Jameson is talking about justice? Shut up! Have you forgotten how I became this inhuman monster? It's all because of you!"

Jonah was choked by the scorpion, but then he came to his senses and continued to berate it: "I funded your rehabilitation to deal with that damn supervillain Spider-Man! Not to turn you into another supervillain!"

Spider-Man? Supervillain?

Doctor Octopus, who was passing by, overheard this and looked at Jonah with disdain: "No, no, no, Jonah Jameson. I know exactly what your attitude towards Spider-Man is. You just hate him and are jealous of him. He has saved far more people than anyone you've ever met. You just never want to believe that anyone would be willing to make such selfless sacrifices. What a pity. It's okay, once we kill Spider-Man, you'll regret it."

Jonah flew into a rage upon hearing Doctor Octopus's words: "You're talking nonsense! I know Spider-Man better than you clowns! Nobody knows better than me what that damn Spider-Man is, that damn, despicable..."

Doctor Octopus immediately shut JJJ up, telling him to stop talking nonsense. They had completely sealed off the entire Daily Bugle building. Venom and Mr. Negative were working together. After Mr. Negative corrupted a large number of security guards, Venom gave them symbiotes, turning them into powerful minions to block the roads.

This group of "Sinister Sixteen" kept a close watch on the entire building, waiting for Spider-Man to arrive.

And Peter the Fat Guy has arrived.

"Phew, I really need to lose weight. At this rate, I won't even be able to crawl into the ventilation duct." Fat Peter muttered as he crawled out of the bathroom ventilation duct, then stretched. "Full-scale live stream, MJ will definitely see me, sigh..."

Just as he was sighing, the bathroom door opened, and Vulture, who had rushed in to use the toilet, saw the fat Peter standing there and was about to yell, "Spider—"

"Thank you for welcoming me here, Toms, but I'm sorry I don't have time to catch up with you today."

Fat Peter plugged the vulture's beak with spider silk. The vulture was about to spread its wings and kill Spider-Man when it found that its wings wouldn't obey its commands. Fat Peter dragged the vulture over, punched it unconscious, and stuffed it into the bathroom.

This nanosuit is really useful; it completely hacked the enemy's technology. It's just a pity it's not my own suit, so I'll have to return it later.

As Peter the Fat Man spoke, he cautiously continued forward, while Peter himself followed behind invisibly. He then checked on the Vultures. He had originally thought that the people who cloned the Vultures would install some kind of control device on them, but after checking, he found that there was none at all, which aroused his curiosity.

Does Jackal really trust these guys so much that he thinks this treacherous sixteen-man group is enough? Or is he already prepared to release the treacherous sixty-man group and the treacherous six hundred-man group?

Peter was momentarily confused, but he decided to continue following them. Just as he was looking at the door, he saw Gwen standing in the bathroom doorway. "What are you doing standing here?"

“Well, I saw that old man come out, so I guessed you were following behind.” Gwen explained why she was standing at the bathroom door and also told Peter about the situation in the building: “You’re right, before Spider-Man came, these guys wouldn’t do anything too outrageous, but now that that old man is here, it’s hard to say. You can’t expect them to care about the safety of the hostages when they’re fighting.”

“Besides, the area is already surrounded by the National Guard and NYPD, and anyone who goes out could be affected.” Peter pondered the situation for a moment: “But I’ve already taken care of that problem. Now it’s up to this universe’s only superhero to see if he can lure the supervillain away from the hostages.”

If Peter can lure the villain away, he can take everyone away through the Suspension Gate; infiltration isn't a concern. Gwen can erase consciousness, and he can become invisible, so getting to the hostages won't be a problem.

The only problem is that there are many and diverse hostages, and a large portion of them are ordinary people who have been corrupted and infected by Mr. Negative and Venom.

Peter didn't know exactly what the trigger limit was for the Spider-Man incident, but once the other side officially started fighting, he could try to deal with these two. For Spider-Man in this universe, Mr. Negative and Venom might be very difficult enemies to deal with, but for Peter, these two were no challenge at all.

No, it should be said that even if all 16 of these Spider-Man villains, whose origins and strength are more in line with the original comics, attacked him together, they would probably still be slightly inferior to him and wouldn't be his match at all. But this isn't his universe, and Peter still intends to respect the setting of the Spider-Web event.

Meanwhile, the chubby Spider-Man had already arrived at the studio in front of the television. He quietly crawled over, thinking that no one had noticed him, but suddenly the steel beam he was crouching on was ripped off, and he was thrown in front of the camera.

And it happened to be right in front of Jonah Jameson.

"Oh, hey Jonah, when was the last time we were this close? It's been years, hasn't it?"

"Spider-Man? It's you again. If it weren't for you..."

"I suggest we don't talk about this yet!"

As soon as his spider-sense sensed the danger, Fat Peter did a somersault and jumped up, grabbing Doctor Octopus's mechanical claws with both arms. Then, his nanosuit began to work, and a large number of nanobots invaded the mechanical claws and the chip controlling them. Doctor Octopus cried out in disbelief, "Ah!" and collapsed to the ground.

"I'm sorry, Doctor, today's victory was indeed a bit unfair, although your resurrection of the dead was quite cheating."

Fat Peter stood up and looked at the hostages: "Alright Jonah, and everyone else, you guys hurry up and leave through the side door. I'll hold them off, quick!"
