I'm working on Marvel's Spider-Man in American comics.
Chapter 780 What is the Sinister Six?
Chapter 780 What is the Sinister Sixteen?
Having witnessed Otto Octavia's "infinite cloning," Peter had no intention of wasting any more words with this group. Obviously, these people, being clones, would probably spawn endlessly, so eliminating them here was pointless; only destroying the teleportation device would suffice.
"What?! Another Spider-Man?!"
The Green Goblin's voice, a mix of anger and excitement, boomed: "Whatever, even if seven or eight more Spider-Men come, I'm still the same..."
Before he could finish speaking, he saw blue particle patterns appear on the new Spider-Man's body. Before he could react, Spider-Man used supersonic speed to escape and carried the other Spider-Man away.
Peter carried this Spider-Man, who was most likely a clone, straight back to the attic of Fat Peter's house before putting him down. Gwen was already waiting inside. Once he was off the platform, the Spider-Man looked at Peter incredulously: "Wait, another Spider-Man? Who are you people? Some kind of clone of me?"
"I'm sorry, I'm not. In fact, the technology in my world is much more advanced than yours."
Peter had the nanobots remove their masks, and Spider-Man, seeing the suit, nodded confidently. He believed that even Osborn Technology did not possess such nanotechnology in this world.
In this universe without any superheroes other than Spider-Man, Osborn Technology is undoubtedly the pinnacle of technology in this world.
"That you……"
“We come from other parallel universes, as you should have noticed. I am Peter Parker, if you are Peter Parker too.”
As Peter spoke, he scanned the Spider-Man in front of him with his multiverse watch and came to a rather unfavorable conclusion: this Spider-Man was from this universe, not a stray from another universe.
In other words, this universe's Peter Parker didn't experience the parallel universe story, but is about to encounter the story of the cloning legend, and it's hard to say whether that's a good thing or not.
But the Spider-Man before him clearly didn't have that thought. From his own perspective, he was the only Spider-Man, and he was thinking in Spider-Man's way: "Damn it! Green Goblin and his gang will definitely keep destroying the city to threaten me into going out and fighting them!"
"Actually, I don't think they'll do it, because I just fought them in supersonic mode. They're basically on edge right now and don't know what happened. Look, the sandstorm has stopped."
Looking at the sandstorm that had stopped in the distance, Spider-Man nodded, then looked at Peter: "So... what's your plan? Is there some secret weapon hidden in that little house behind you?"
"In some ways, yes."
As Peter spoke, he opened the attic door and led Spider-Man into the room. Once they were inside, Peter was surprised to find that the chubby Peter was drinking cola and chatting and laughing with Gwen.
Spider-Man walked in, saw Gwen, and froze on the spot.
“You never told me that the girl you brought was actually Gwen Stacy.”
Fat Peter smiled and looked at Peter: "We've all...never seen each other for fifteen or sixteen years? Forgot. Oh, which Spider-Man is this?"
"This is your universe's Spider-Man."
Peter's words made both Spider-Men look at him. Fat Peter didn't know what to say for a moment, while the other Spider-Man took off his mask, revealing a face that looked exactly like Fat Peter's, but much more energetic.
But their reactions were all the same.
"What did you say?" "Your universes resonate at the same frequency. Not only you, but all your enemies are the same. They are all from your universe."
Peter stated this fact, then looked at the fat Peter: "Miles Warren, have you ever heard of that name?"
The clone Spider-Man looked bewildered, while the chubby Peter seemed to recall something, picking up his phone and searching: "Ah, a PhD in biological genetics, who once tried to recruit me as an assistant. I interned with him for a few months, but quit because I was always late. I remember his research area was... cloning?"
Fat Peter immediately understood, and the clone Spider-Man also realized: "Wait, you're saying I'm a clone? That's impossible! My memories are perfectly normal!"
"Mary Jane divorced you, did you know?"
Peter's question stumped the clone Spider-Man, leaving him momentarily bewildered. He muttered things like "this is impossible," then roared incredulously, "How could we get a divorce! We can't..."
"She wanted a child, and I got scared, so I hung up on her."
Fat Peter brought up the matter again, and unexpectedly, the clone Spider-Man seemed to understand something. He immediately turned and ran, but after only two steps, he stopped and came back.
"...I wanted to ask Mary Jane if this was true, and then I realized that for the same question, our answers were the same."
The clone chuckled self-deprecatingly: "So... cloning, that's ridiculous. Everything about me is fake, it doesn't exist. Then what am I?"
"That's fantastic. Originally, there was only one person with a potential crisis, but now you've created two."
Gwen couldn't help but sidle up to Peter and complain, while Peter said with a hint of helplessness, "If I'm not mistaken, this time it's just like Otto's time, the number of clones can be infinite. And in order to avoid triggering the Spider Web event, we can't ask the League for too much help yet, we have to rely on them."
Breaking news! The Daily Bugle is under attack!
The chaos in the Daily Bugle's live broadcast room drew everyone's attention to the television. On the screen, Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus stood at the forefront, with a long list of enemies that Spider-Man from this universe had defeated behind them.
Or rather, their clones and replacements.
Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Venom, Thriller, Mysterio, Rhino, Lizard, Scorpion, Vulture, Electro, Sandman, Waterman, Mr. Negative, Chameleon, Kraven, Tombstone.
"Spider-Man can no longer protect you. Whatever you plan to do is in vain. We are the Sinister Sixteen, and we will rule all of New York!"
"The sinister Sixteen's plan is simply to rule New York, which is fantastic."
Peter sighed helplessly: "I hope there's no Sinister Sixty. This is terrifying."
There really is a sinister group of sixty in the comics.
