Chapter 711 Beast - Forced Landing

The Gorgons were dumbfounded.

He never expected LMD to be involved. Hydra should know about S.H.I.E.L.D.'s LMD technology, which is why he was able to confirm that Erica's body was not LMD, but an actual corpse. But what happened?

In the end, Fury proved to be the better player.

More importantly, all the Norn Stones are gone! This means there isn't even enough time to escape!
I was hoping that Daredevil would become corrupted and turn evil, becoming three times stronger, and with the resurrection of the mind-controlled Elektra, he could at least fight the Defenders and Spider-Man. Now, what kind of fight is that?

"Damn Spider-Man! Damn Daredevil! You all deserve to die!"

Gorgon placed his hand on the mask again, intending to remove the blindfold, when Matt, who had already defected to the heroes' side (literally, having jumped over the Hand), immediately warned, "Be careful, Gorgon's abilities..."

"Like his codename, petrify everyone else." Peter swung a web, sticking Gorgon's hand and his face mask together. An enraged Gorgon yelled for Typhoid Mary to burn the web away with her psionic flames.

But what about Typhoid Mary? She's already thinking about running away. Although she's been brainwashed by the Hand, as a mental patient, her mental state isn't very stable, so the brainwashing effect is rather limited.

At this point, Gorgon realized one thing: they were definitely not going to get out today. So he spoke something in Japanese to the few old Japanese men behind him, and the old men immediately objected.

Peter, who didn't understand Japanese, asked Matt curiously, "What are they saying?"

“Gorgon hopes the beast will descend upon him, but those old men say he is not a suitable sacrifice.”

The "Beast" is a demon that corrupts people. Because of this, the greater the contrast between a person's initial fall and their eventual downfall, the greater the extent to which the Beast can interfere with reality, and the stronger the power it bestows upon the possessed body. Matt was originally a very suitable host; after Daredevil fell into murder, he was able to provide the Beast with sufficient energy.

Even if Matt wasn't ruthless enough, Gorgon had prepared Mr. Negative as a backup plan. Unexpectedly, Matt was an undercover agent, and Mr. Negative was even protected by Fury. Now everything was over.

What's even more stupid is that he allowed these old geezers to forcibly summon the beast's will, and they actually refused!

"No matter what he's going to do, or whether he can do it or not, we must stop him! There's no need to talk about chivalry with this kind of evil cultist. Everyone, attack together!"

Peter shouted, and the superheroes present, some confused and some not, rushed forward. Moon Knight, bewildered, found the most famous Spider-Man as he charged, and while beating up the Undying Ninja, asked, "So who exactly are we fighting?"

"Uh... you can just attack whoever we want to attack."

Peter kicked the undead ninja in return while asking the distinctive street hero, "So what are you doing in Hell's Kitchen?"

"Steven received a request that there were people in Hell's Kitchen who needed help, and when he arrived, he discovered that Consue was also interested in the place... Hey, do you know Steven and Consue?"

"If that one behind is the Egyptian moon goddess, then I do recognize her!" Peter punched an undead ninja away. These undead were indeed troublesome; they felt no pain, were not afraid of death, and there was no way to bring them back to life. The only advantage was that they turned into smoke after death, taking up no space.

It sounds like hell, but that's the truth. Peter and his crew kept getting closer to Gorgon, and Peter kept sticking Gorgon's hands and face with spider silk, which made Gorgon so angry that he burst out a bunch of Japanese, probably not very nice words.

Finally, amidst Gorgon's furious curses and the heroes' valiant struggle, black energy surged into the sky in an instant, causing the entire castle tower to collapse and everyone to fall almost simultaneously.

Peter, who was best at moving, only then noticed the dagger and the cloak that was releasing dark dimensional power in mid-air. He quickly used his spider silk to stick to the others as much as possible, as well as to the other buildings around the castle tower, and caught them with a large net before most of them landed.

"What happened? Why did the building suddenly collapse?"

Moon Knight, once again out of sorts, kept asking questions. Dagger stood up from the net, then looked at the cloak that was still releasing energy, and said uncertainly, "I'm not sure... but it seems... it seems like the energy Talon is releasing is a little different."

Something's not quite right? Peter suddenly became alert. The cloak and the dagger had completely opposite sources of power, which could neutralize each other, so her words could be trusted.

In other words, the cloak released other energies? It was originally connected to the Shadow Dimension, so does that mean it has switched to another dimension now?
Remembering that Gorgon had just launched a desperate counterattack, Peter immediately threw a Norn Stone at the cloak. The moment the Norn Stone hit the cloak, two completely different spatial energies collided, directly destroying the stability of the space. Peter immediately shot out spider silk to pull the cloak over, preventing it from being torn apart by the spatial vortex.

"Well done, Spider-Man."

Matt breathed a sigh of relief, then asked, "How do you know this trick will work?"

"The Strange library has information on how to use Nornstone, although the specifics are different, but I think it's worth a try."

Peter muttered to himself as he looked around at the shadowy realm. Darkness still enveloped Hell's Kitchen, and the shadowy realm did not dissipate as a result.

Peter had a bad feeling, but the problem was that his spider senses weren't giving him a strong warning. He heard a noise and then saw Gorgon stand up with a huge concrete slab on his head and push it aside.

The Gorgon no longer covered his eyes. He scanned his surroundings, but no one was petrified. His appearance also became more in line with his codename. His skin had turned bluish-gray with a snake-scale-like structure. His eyes had become golden vertical pupils, and most frighteningly, his hair had turned into snake hair, just like the real Gorgon.

"So, this is what demonic possession looks like? To be honest, I thought it would look even better. I was more looking forward to the Gorgon, but the Gorgon... never mind..."

"You have Gaia's aura on you... though it's very faint."

Gorgon glanced at everyone present, then looked at Moon Knight and smiled excitedly.
