Chapter 70 Fierce Battle on Earth 700 (1)

Beneath Brooklyn's surface, abandoned subway tunnels have been transformed into a gleaming, technologically advanced lair. Blue energy conduits crawl along the curved metal walls, and two massive energy emitters face each other. Once energy is channeled into the emitters, the two energies will collide, tearing apart the multiverse—but so far, this has not succeeded.

Kingpin, even larger than the 616 universe, sat in the collider's control room. His sinister Six (including himself) were ready to go. There was no doubt that the damned bug would come and cause trouble, and their only task was to tear the bug apart.

“If Spider-Man comes here today,” Kingpin said, looking at his men, “then don’t let him leave alive—”

Kingpin didn't even finish his harsh words, because that voice, which he both knew and loathed, had already begun to echo in the Brooklyn underground.

"Are you here, Willie? Hello?"

Spider-Man from Earth 700 walked in, speaking as he went. His echoes reverberated through the empty pipes, and his footsteps were crystal clear. He quickly came into view on the surveillance camera.

"Shall we make a deal? You just surrender here, and I'll let you stop wearing sunglasses to hide your dark circles. Your plan will definitely fail."

"Deal with him."

Kingpin glanced at the massive Green Goblin and added, "Remember to take him somewhere far away so he doesn't bother us."

The giant Green Goblin spread its enormous wings and took flight, bursting out of the control room and lunging at Spider-Man (Earth 700), who remained completely relaxed, not even raising a hand.

"Because, as the old spider said, when you play with parallel universes, the parallel universes will play with you in return."

The Green Goblin, charging forward, didn't notice a figure leaping out of the darkness. Spider-Man 2099 revealed his claws, slashing at him and knocking him to the ground before unleashing a flurry of blows. At the same time, Spider-Man (Earth 700) also swung his webs towards the control room, accompanied by Spider-Man, the protagonist of our 616 universe.

"I have a question. Did you say you were the old spider to distinguish between the two of us?"

"No, I mean I'm experienced and wise."

Kingpin was completely bewildered by what was happening, as he watched the two Spider-Men swinging over together and Spider-Man 2099 beating up the Green Goblin on the ground. Only Doctor Octopus Liv adjusted her glasses and revealed a very excited smile.

"It must be the collider that worked, bringing us two Spider-Men from other universes. Mr. Fisk, my device worked."

“If by success you mean bringing in two more Spider-Men,” Kingpin glanced at Liv, then told her to continue the experiment without stopping, while the rest of the team dealt with the other two Spider-Men.

“According to the plan, I’ll take care of the scorpion first!” Peter said to Spider-Man (Earth 700) as he swung toward the scorpion. But some people are faster than the scorpion. The Prowler brandished its claws, stepped on the wall, and charged toward Peter. Peter released his web and barely dodged, but the web he launched was cut by a throwing knife from the Prowler.

“Then let’s change the plan. You deal with the Wanderer!” Blonde Peter shouted, looking at the scorpion and the tombstone in front of him, and took a deep breath: “I’ll take care of these two.”

Meanwhile, the Green Goblin, who had been pinned to the ground and beaten by Spider-Man 2099 for half a day, finally recovered. Taking advantage of the moment when 2099 threw a punch, he opened his big mouth and spat out a torrent of flames. Miguel, who had no spider-sense, was almost knocked down by this flame, but he still managed to dodge it by a hair's breadth. Then, he narrowed his eyes and looked at the Green Goblin in front of him. After standing up, the Green Goblin was nearly three meters tall and had huge wings with a wingspan of more than five meters. He showed off his sharp claws without any politeness.

"That kid is right, you should change your name to Winged Troll."

This Green Goblin in the universe seems to lack intelligence, charging forward like a wild beast or the Hulk, running despite having wings. Fortunately, Miguel has dealt with both the Green Goblin and the Hulk in their 2099 versions, and luckily, the Green Goblin he faced was the Alchemy Corporation version.

"Here's a little tip for you, big guy."

Miguel extended his right claw, which flashed with a dangerous red light. He didn't rely on Spider-Sense at all, but instead on Lyra's data analysis, his own combat experience, and bullet-time vision. He bent down and lowered his center of gravity, looking for the Green Goblin's details and weaknesses in the slow-motion animation. He seized the best opportunity and leaped up.

Instantly, crimson blood splattered from the enormous monster before them. Five deep wounds appeared on the bulky Green Goblin's chest, and he was sent flying, crashing heavily to the ground. Crimson steam rapidly rose from Miguel's claws, which had been heated.

"You've been losing all the way from 2018 to 2099."

A roar erupted from the Green Goblin's mouth. His wings, like supports, held his massive body upright, and he began to flap them, dragging his enormous form through the air as he spewed flames at Miguel. Miguel began running around the inner wall of the pipe, and the Green Goblin twisted his neck to aim his flames at him. When Miguel was directly above him, the Green Goblin naturally raised his neck high.

Black spider silk shot out from glands under Spider-Man 2099's wrist, sticking to Green Goblin's chin. Miguel then jumped onto his back, trying to pull Green Goblin's chin to shut him up. With his fiery mouth shut, Green Goblin flapped his wings and crashed into the top of the tunnel, then flew off at high speed in other directions. Miguel, despite the impact, didn't fall; instead, he clung tightly to the silk, flying alongside Green Goblin. Finally, Green Goblin flew out of the collider's testing area, crashing into a wider construction site before coming to a stop and freefalling downwards.

He was waiting, waiting for the moment when this new Spider-Man would swing away on his webs, and then he would unleash a burst of fire upon the guy. But Green Goblin never got to see that moment.

Because he didn't land.

Spider-Man 2099, holding his head, flew through the air and slammed his head directly into the metal wall of the collider test area. The high-speed impact left Green Goblin's head wedged into the outer wall of the tunnel.

Miguel brandished his claws again. He wouldn't mind killing the Green Goblin outright, but this big guy wasn't so easy to kill. So he had no choice but to inject a larger dose of paralyzing agent into the Green Goblin with his claws. The previous dose hadn't worked, so he hoped it would make the Green Goblin sleep a little longer.
