Chapter 696 Daredevil's Fall?
"It's not the first time, aren't you used to it yet?"

Bullseye doesn't talk much, but when he does, it's better if he doesn't talk at all.

His words instantly enraged Matt, reminding him of the girl named Karen Page, reminding him of the same time back then.

Before Bullseye could even react, Daredevil swung his nunchuck and pierced his shoulder with the tip of his shoulder. Then Matt yanked him away and broke his damn hands instantly.

But Bullseye actually found a chance to fight back, and slapped Daredevil across the face with his broken arm. This enraged Daredevil even more, and he punched Bullseye in the face again and again before pulling him up and pushing him to the edge of the rooftop.

He heard Bullseye making a sound as he twisted his broken teeth with his tongue, so he punched him, knocking all of Bullseye's broken teeth out. Bullseye, spitting out broken teeth and blood, chuckled.

"Just like last time, right? Last time you thought gravity could kill me, but it didn't, I survived. Maybe it'll be the same this time? The Hand guys are right, you're a coward, you don't dare to kill anyone."

Then, Bullseye heard those words as he wished.

"This time is different."

Iron Fist and Luke Cage, who rushed to the scene, witnessed Daredevil snap Bullseye's neck, roar at the sky, and kneel on the ground as if he had lost all his strength. His friends gathered around him, but none of them said a word.

Matt remained unusually calm.

Apart from him, Spider-Man, Logan who brought Daken's information, and Gwen who used the Mysterio helmet to erase the inconsistencies, no one else present knew anything about the whole thing. They all believed that Erica was really dead at this moment, and that Matt's grief was real.

Or rather, everything that has unfolded so far has been unexpected and beyond what others could have imagined—it was all part of a pre-arranged grand spectacle.

Matt felt his heart pounding abnormally, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath.

However, the feeling he had when he was punching Bullseye wasn't an act. He genuinely felt an unprecedented anger along with an unprecedented sense of relaxation. Matt stood up in silence, walked to Erica's body, picked her up, and left with her. The others were about to follow, but Logan stopped them: "Let him be alone. Don't disturb him now. I'm going to call Bugs."

Matt silently carried Erica away. The agency had been bombed, so he took Erica back to his apartment. But at the apartment door, he stopped, put Erica's body down, and listened to someone inside speaking in Japanese.

Matt pushed open the door and threw the nunchuck he was holding out.

Gorgon, who was standing by the wall, caught the nunchaku with his hand.

“You have proven to us that you are not a coward, a devil.”

After catching the nunchucks, Gorgon put the weapon aside and said, "I didn't bring any weapons. I'm here to negotiate."

“I’m not in the mood for that.” After realizing that Gorgon wasn’t lying, Matt placed Erica’s body on the sofa, while Gorgon, who had overheard everything, continued speaking without paying any attention to it.

"You should know now that so-called principles are no match for reality. If you had killed that assassin earlier, none of this would have happened. If you had dealt with Kingpin and taken control of Hell's Kitchen earlier, you wouldn't have been looking for us for so long."

"I killed him long ago! I killed him once!"

"You just think you killed him, but you didn't check."

Feeling Matt's heartbeat, Gorgon continued, "And now you know how to deal with your enemies, your friends, and your loved ones to ensure their safety. But you alone cannot cleanse Hell's Kitchen, let alone..."

"That's ridiculous. Just a few minutes ago, we were fighting to the death, and now you're inviting me to join the Hand?"

Gorgon was silent for a moment after being asked this question, but he quickly recovered and continued speaking.

"It's not about joining the Hand, it's about leading the Hand. If you're willing, I can give up my leadership of the Hand, and even surrender to S.H.I.E.L.D. with my people. The entire Hand will be yours."

Upon hearing this, Matt looked incredulously in Gorgon's direction: "Why?"

"Hydra is a sinking ship, everyone can see that now, and everyone wants to jump ship. But the problem is, the Hand has neither intelligence nor resources. We are just henchmen. Even if we were to jump ship, it wouldn't be our turn. So, of course, we have to find a way too."

"Yes, and you can get a lot. You can create your own Hell's Kitchen, just like Kingpin, and build your kingdom according to your own moral standards."

Gorgon continued speaking, but Matt simply sat down beside Erica's body and shook his head.

He chose to refuse.

"I haven't finished yet, you demon! How can a kingdom have only a king and no queen?"

Gorgon walked up to Matt, and Matt's nerves tensed instantly, but Gorgon continued talking to himself: "The Hand can bring her back to life, demon. Only the Hand can bring her back to life. So-called heroes would not approve of resurrecting the dead."
