Chapter 684 First Appearance of the Horn Daily

Chapter 684 First Appearance of the Horn Daily
To be honest, although it wasn't Peter's first time visiting the Daily Bugle building, this was truly the first time he had come to the Daily Bugle building in a serious manner.

He rushed to the Daily Bugle building after school, glancing at the pictures Felicia had sent him along the way. He'd expected Felicia to send photos of herself trying on dresses, but instead, she'd just sent him the clothes themselves.

Then he glanced at Gwen's side. Judging from Cindy's reaction, Felicia had undoubtedly messaged Gwen as well. But that didn't seem so. Felicia and Cindy both worked at the detective agency, so it was normal for them to have each other's contact information, but Felicia and Gwen didn't seem to be very familiar with each other.

Peter put away his phone and let out a long sigh. Sometimes he really did find this kind of thing a headache, and it was much more comfortable to be Spider-Man and fight crime.

He looked up again at the Sky News building and JJJ's personal sign.

"Alright, Daily Bugle... To be honest, I'm not short of money now, but I'm missing some other things, like intelligence resources, although I probably won't be able to get any timely information from Daily Bugle. After all, I don't plan to be a photographer for Daily Bugle."

Peter remembered that he had a part-time job maintaining the Daily Bugle's website, and he had actually been doing it all along. He had also met Jonah at the Daily Bugle with MJ before, but this time was different in every way.

I'm here to earn some pocket money.

Peter walked into the front desk of the Daily Bugle while thinking about it, and asked directly, "Hello, if I have a picture of Spider-Man, who should I give it to?"

The receptionist gave Peter a rather strange look: "Why didn't you send it via email, sir?"

"Oh, these photos were just taken. I happened to be passing by, so I thought I'd ask about them first."

"So you haven't even developed these photos yet?" The receptionist gave Peter a strange look before picking up the phone and making a call. After a while, she asked Peter, "Hello, may I ask for your name?"

"Peter Benjamin Parker."

Undoubtedly, the person on the other end of the phone realized something after hearing the news. So Peter looked at the receptionist and said "Hello, Mr. Parker, Mr. Jameson would like to see you to his office."

"Oh, okay, thank you."

Before the receptionist could tell Peter Jonah the location of the office, she watched him walk straight to the elevator, then realized that Peter might have been here before, so she sat down and continued working.

Peter, on the other hand, had already recognized Jonah by his hearing and went straight to his office. Surprisingly, no one was at the door. Peter knocked before he heard Jonah's voice.

"Please come in, Mr. Parker."

Peter opened the door and went in, where he saw Jonah working. In front of him was an old-fashioned electronic typewriter fax machine, something Peter had never seen before. He watched Jonah type and exchange pleasantries with him.

"I remember you, Mr. Parker. You brought us a very good photo last time. Looks like you have good news to share this time?"

"Yes, Mr. Jameson, the photos are all here."

Peter handed the camera directly to Jonah, who looked at him with a puzzled expression, then frowned and looked at the photos while asking questions.

"So, one of the brightest students I know isn't going to school or staying in the lab, but instead he's out there following some dangerous, violent, masked freak in a tight suit, taking his picture and selling it to the Daily Bugle for money... Tell me, kid, what's wrong?" Actually, I came here to gather information... Peter, of course, didn't intend to tell Jonah about this, so he made up an excuse: "Some things can certainly be solved in the lab and at school, but some ideas don't fit into lab projects..."

"Ah, I see. So you need money to buy experimental equipment and things like that. Hmm... It's a pity. Although these photos are well taken, they just... lack impact."

“There aren’t many supervillains left in New York these days, Mr. Jameson.”

Jonah laughed after hearing this, said "That's true," and handed the camera back to Peter: "I've got my eye on five of the photos inside, fifty dollars each, is that alright? After all... they're not exactly impactful."

“That’s perfect, thank you, Mr. Jameson.”

Peter smiled and took the camera. He hadn't come for the money; he had already used the camera to get the nanobots into Jonah's office, so he had already achieved his goal.

However, since he was already there, Peter casually asked, "Do you know about the Undying Ninja, Mr. Jameson?"

"An immortal ninja?" Jonah scoffed twice. "Don't listen to these ridiculous urban legends and forum stories. Where did you hear such an outrageous tale?"

"Um, Spider-Man told me, he said..."

"Spider-Man!"

Jonah's voice instantly drowned out Peter's, and then Peter saw his eyes sharpen: "What else did Spider-Man say?"

"Spider-Man said that recently a lot of immortal ninjas have appeared in New York, and they're fighting with the gangs for territory. This area is very dangerous..."

"Haha, I was wondering why Spider-Man had been so quiet lately, while his untrained, clumsy copycats were always wandering around. Turns out they were investigating the immortal ninja..."

Jonah frowned, then seemed to remember something and grabbed the phone: "Go and call Yurik over. I have something to discuss with him."

"You're planning to investigate the Undying Ninjas? That could be dangerous, Mr. Jameson."

"Don't underestimate journalists, Parker. We certainly won't send our valuable investigative reporters to the front lines like murder scenes unless it's absolutely necessary. We've already sacrificed enough excellent reporters and photographers during the Green Goblin Regiment era."

Jameson laughed as he spoke: "But in other respects, reporters have their own ways. Well, thank you for coming, kid, thank you."

After shaking hands with Jonah and saying goodbye, Peter left his office. Regardless of the reporter's investigation methods or whether it involved any danger, it was now under his control.

But speaking of which, wasn't MJ also at the Daily Bugle? I didn't run into her.
