Fulilian: Dominate Aura at the beginning

Chapter 53 Interlude: A Date in the Middle

Chapter 53 Interlude - A Midway Date (Part 1) (Please continue reading, it's really important)
Day 7 of my winter trip —

The Celestial Dragon carried the Agusid family to the skies above the 'Barkur Canyon'.

Because it had been thoroughly annoyed by Magic Little Deng these past few days, it naturally went on strike.

Inside the castle's study—

Vlame sat quietly in the seat that Agushid usually occupied.

She held a cup of tea in one hand and a magic book from the mythological era in the other, carefully flipping through it.

Vlamé spent his winter free time little by little like this.

She waited patiently for her husband to return from dealing with the conflict between Tianmailong and Frilian.

This process didn't take long.

No more than half an hour later, Vlamé heard the sound of the study door being pushed open.

Click——

Attracted by the sound, but did not look up.

Vlame feigned composure, his fingertips hovering over the newly opened page of the magic book in his hand.

"came back?"

Vlame asked in a soft voice, with a hint of the languor that comes with winter.

She turned another page of the magic book and gently put down the teacup in her hand.

"What happened over there? How exactly did Frilian provoke the Celestial Dragon?"

Vlamé, who asked the question, still did not look up.

But if you observe carefully...

You can see that out of the corner of her eye, she kept following the figure that had just appeared at the door.

"It's still because of the feeding problem..."

Agusid stepped into the study, bringing with him the chill of the 'Bakrut Canyon'.

The hem of his black robe was still covered with snowflakes left on him by Frilian's prank.

As Agushid spoke, he took off his pair of dragon-skin gloves.

"Frilian stuck the ball of magic mixed with fruit between the teeth of the Celestial Dragon—"

After brushing the snowflakes off the hem of his clothes with his gloves, he continued:
"This has caused the Celestial Dragon to be listless, so we'll probably have to rest here for a day."

Vlame nodded, without any complaint or expression.

But she noticeably slowed down her flipping through the book.

The parchment pages fell slowly, tracing soft arcs in the warm indoor air.

"Where's Frillie...? Didn't she come back with you?"

Vlame asked her husband softly.

"Frilian is afraid you'll spank her, so she wants me to take her to the town below to lay low for a while."

Agushid unbuttoned his coat and draped it over the brass coat rack.

"As she requested, I have sent her to the magic shop in the town below—"

She said that I should be less angry by evening, so she wants me to pick her up tonight.

The flames in the fireplace crackled in time with Agusid's voice.

Vlamé finally raised his head, and closed the book more forcefully than usual.

She shook her head, looking at her husband who had rolled up his shirt sleeves.

"So, you've already been down there... So, what's so special about this town?"

Vlame tilted his head and propped his face up with his arm.

The firelight cast a dim shadow on the parchment cover.

"No."

In a soft response, Agushid walked to Vlame's side.

Vlame consciously moved to the other side, leaving an empty seat for her husband.

Without pausing, Agushid sat down directly next to Vlame.

After taking a sip of the black tea in his Vlamé teacup, he continued to recount his experiences below.

"The town below is not large, and because of the season, there are not many shops operating normally."

"Very deserted?"

Vlame took the teacup from Agushid and took a small sip himself.

"Very deserted."

Agushid answered calmly, and then took the opportunity to ask about his wife's plans.

"Volamey, is there something you want to do that you're asking?"

"There's nothing I want to do."

Vlame reached behind him and shoved the spellbook back onto the bookshelf, casually replying:

"I should say that since the holiday started and I was free from the worries of teaching, I have been very free."

"That's good."

Hearing her husband's soft response, Vlame's fingers brushed across the bookshelf, selecting a new magic book to read.

The slender fingertips lingered for half a second on the gold-embossed cover of a magic book.

She took out the book without much hesitation—

This is the magic that makes stone sculptures dance automatically.

It was also the third year after their marriage that Agushid gave her a birthday gift.

"And you, what are you going to do today?"

Vlame took the magic book and sat back down next to Agushid, turning her head slightly to look at him.

The firelight from the fireplace bathed Agusid's profile in a warm orange glow.

He was engrossed in organizing the translations he had deciphered the day before, unaware of the slight upturn of his wife's lips as she spoke those words.

"Same as before..."

Agusid's voice mingled with the rustling sound of paper being rubbed together.

"It's nothing more than continuing to decipher the sage Evish's grimoire."

He reached for the quill pen, but his raised wrist was stopped by Vlamé.

The wife's robe sleeve swept over the ink bottle, and the deep black ink spread across the parchment.

Didn't you understand what I meant?

Vlame glanced sideways at her unromantic husband.

"I just said I'm very free—"

Her tone sounded calm, but it subtly contained a sense of helplessness.

Now tell me, if I ask you, "What are you going to do today?", how should you answer?

"Hmm... how would you like my answer?"

Seeing that Agushid still didn't understand the deeper meaning of his words, Vlame released his hand.

Instead, she grabbed the front of his shirt and gently pulled it towards her.

"Stay with me."

Meeting her husband's questioning gaze, Vlame spoke calmly.

As soon as she finished speaking, the study suddenly became extremely quiet.

Even the crackling of the fireplace stopped.

"..."

Agushid remained silent for a long time.

His appearance was so striking that even Vlamé couldn't help but loosen his grip on the fingers in front of him.

But just as his wife stepped back—

Agushid reached out and grasped the back of her hand.

"That's no problem..."

"However, even though I can stay by your side all day long without leaving for a moment."

"But even so, we should at least find something to do."

Vlamed breathed a sigh of relief, quite satisfied with Agushid's response.

She withdrew her hand and touched her chin.

"Hmm...that's true..."

Vlame tapped his chin rhythmically with his fingertips.

He pondered what he should do while he was with Agusid...

kiss?

Hmm... we can't kiss all day long...

So, sleep?
No, that won't work either; a human mage's fragile body wouldn't be able to handle it...

Tsk——

"In that case..."

Vlame murmured to himself, after deciding what to do—

With a smile on his lips, he suddenly stretched his head toward Agushid.

"Okay, it's decided—"

She moved upwards, her cheek brushing against her husband's skin, her lips almost touching his earlobe.

"Agusid..."

"Ok?"

Let's go on a date!

Sorry, I've been updating a bit lately because of work. It will be fine once it's released.

Thank you all for your support. There will be another one later; those who don't stay up late can wait until tomorrow morning to see it.
