Chapter 13: Wizard X's Alchemy Laboratory

Chapter 13: Wizard X's Alchemy Laboratory
The reason why Isaac went to the small villa in the suburbs was mainly because he wanted to use the portal set up there by Wizard X to go to the hidden underground space where she currently lived.

Since he hadn't figured out how to tell his parents what he had been doing recently, Isaac hadn't told them about the existence of Wizard X. For now, he could only make sure her whereabouts were not discovered.

In order to avoid his parents' unexpected encounter with Wizard X when they suddenly visited the cottage, Isaac felt that it was not safe for her to continue living there and that they needed to find another place to live.

In addition, the small villa was not suitable for Wizard X to renovate and build an alchemy laboratory, which was also one of the reasons for her to move out.

Finally, after some discussion, Wizard X opened up a space underground somewhere on the outskirts of Nashino City as his new settlement, and left a portal in the utility room of the villa for Isaac to visit easily.

Standing in the utility room of the villa, Isaac faced an empty wall, clenched his fist, held out the alchemical ring on his finger towards the wall, and whispered an alchemical spell.

As the spell ended and the blue light emanated from the alchemy ring, a door quietly appeared on the wall. Without any hesitation, Isaac reached out, pushed the door open and stepped inside.

The scene in front of him instantly changed from a utility room to a brightly lit white corridor, just like the corridors of the laboratories in movies, giving Isaac a familiar yet unfamiliar feeling.

Walking quickly along the passage, after passing through a long corridor, Isaac finally arrived at the main body of Wizard X's alchemy laboratory - a huge oval hall.

Dozens of workbenches in the hall were filled with various alchemical equipment and materials. The air was filled with the smells of the various materials themselves and the strange smells mixed together.

Isaac's target, Wizard X, was standing in front of a large workbench, holding an alchemical pen in his hand, concentrating on sketching something on a drawing. He seemed to be immersed in a complex alchemical design.

After placing the two oversized snack bags on the guest table, Isaac took a few steps closer to Wizard X and saw that she had drawn all kinds of strange animal shapes on the drawing.

"Wizard X, are you busy with the auxiliary prop I asked you to make yesterday? Would you like to take a break first? I brought you some snacks you like."

When Wizard X finished sketching the strange animal, Isaac reached out and patted her shoulder, then greeted her with a smile.

Isaac went to a Chinese snack supermarket in Nashino City and carefully selected these snacks as gifts for Wizard X. After all, as the saying goes, one should be grateful to the person who helped him.

Although the two are now close partners, this time Isaac suddenly had the idea to ask Wizard X for help, so naturally he had to show his appreciation.

After much thought, he finally remembered that Wizard X had praised the Chinese snacks he had stored in the villa, so he decided to make a special trip and bought a lot of snacks that Wizard X liked as a reward.

"Hiss~ This spicy noodle tastes really good."

Looking up at the two oversized snack bags that Isaac had placed on the reception table, a smile flashed in Wizard X's eyes. She put down the pen in her hand, stretched her waist, walked to the table, opened the bag, took out a bag of spicy strips, tore open the package and took a bite.

Sitting on a sofa crafted from alchemy, Wizard X savored the Chinese snacks Isaac had brought him, occasionally letting out gasps and exclamations of admiration. "Well, Wizard X, the designs for these alchemical animals on your blueprint are great, but could they be more versatile? For example, could you give this alchemical spider the ability to spray silk? That would not only restrain enemies, but also allow me to impersonate Spider-Man."

Walking to the workbench, Isaac picked up the drawing that Wizard X had just completed and looked at it carefully. After thinking for a moment, he put forward his own ideas.

The alchemical animals on the drawings were ingeniously designed, but their functions were relatively simple, mainly focusing on investigation, tracking, and intelligence gathering. Although they could meet Isaac's basic needs, he still hoped they could be better.

"You're quite bold. However, the ability to spray spider silk is not impossible. It just requires adjusting the alchemical formula and material ratio."

Hearing Isaac's words, Wizard X raised his eyebrows, swallowed the spicy strips in his mouth, and after thinking for a while, he spoke in a slightly teasing tone.

"Then I'll leave it to you! After all, these alchemical animals will be important assistants for my future operations, so the more complete their functions are, the better."

Isaac was very happy to see that Wizard X agreed to his request. After all, the more perfect the functions of these alchemical props are, the more help they can bring to him in the future.

"The Alchemical Spider's silk can be made from special materials synthesized through alchemy. As for the Alchemical Sparrow and the Alchemical Octopus, we can also add some auxiliary functions based on their characteristics. For example, the sparrow can add short-range flash interference, and the eel can release weak electric currents."

Sighing softly, although Wizard X was still complaining about Isaac adding to her workload, she had already started to modify the drawings, explaining her ideas to Isaac while she was drawing.

"Great! This will greatly increase the practicality of these alchemical animals."

Listening to Wizard X's story, Isaac couldn't help but nod repeatedly, his eyes flashing with excitement, but he would also put forward his own ideas and opinions from time to time.

After more than an hour of discussion and revision, the two finally decided on the design of six alchemical animals: alchemical sparrow, alchemical locust, alchemical mouse, alchemical eel, alchemical spider and alchemical octopus.

In addition to the basic tracking and intelligence gathering functions, each animal also has some additional special abilities based on their characteristics, which can provide good assistance to Isaac in daily life and combat.

"Okay, the design is done, the next step is production."

After stretching himself, Wizard X turned and walked towards the material cabinet, starting to select the alchemical materials needed for this session.

The various items and facilities in this laboratory, as well as most of the alchemical materials, were purchased by Isaac using his own small treasury according to the list provided by Wizard X.
