Chapter 33 "Savage Scar"

"Don't go too far, kid!"

Scar was stunned at first, then he became furious and grabbed Luffy by the collar.

"How dare you say you don't know us! How dare you say that? Do you know how much food you've taken from us these days?"

"food?"

Luffy thought hard, then suddenly his eyes widened, "Uncle, you mean those barbecues? Are those your things?"

"if not!"

Scar became even more annoyed and roared, spitting all over Luffy's face, "Can barbecue grow out of the ground by itself?"

"But I saw no one around?" Luffy was bewildered. "So I picked it up, thinking it was roasted by the wild animals in the mountains."

This sounds a bit outrageous.

But Luffy didn't lie.

Orangutans that can fish, monkeys that can make wine, bears that can knit sweaters, cheetahs that can build huts in trees...

There were many kinds of beasts in the Korpo Mountains, all of which he had seen with his own eyes.

In comparison, it is normal for wild beasts to be able to grill meat, and maybe their skills are better than most people.

Manba had seen similar scenes before, so he was stunned:
"So it was all a misunderstanding? Then why did you attack us without a second thought when we found food missing and came to question you a few times later?"

"You're all holding weapons, and you're shouting from a distance that you're from the Manscar Bandits. That's scary, uncle!"

Luffy said with a bitter face, "I have a very bad impression of bandits. Even after being adopted by that woman, I still feel this way. Anyway... Anyway, I hate bandits the most!"

The corner of Manba's eye twitched.

Are the bandits eating your rice?

Fortunately, it’s me who’s standing in front of you. If it was that notorious bandit Sig, he would have twisted your head off after hearing this!
"Forget it, untie this kid."

Manba sighed and waved his hand in boredom.

"Really?" Luffy was overjoyed.

"But there's a condition."

Manba snorted coldly, "You still have a companion, right? When will they come to rescue you?"

"He's just like you, stealing our food a few times. Aren't you two pretty good fighters? When he gets here, go hunting together and give me five times... no, ten times the meat we lost!"

ten times? !

Luffy's eyes widened. Isn't this a life-threatening thing?
He and Ace were sent to the mountains by Dadan to gain experience at Garp's request, and they had to rely on themselves to survive the winter.

There are many ferocious wild animals in the mountains, and they are not easy to hunt. It is already difficult to feed myself, so how can I take out so much meat at once?

"Ten times is too much! Six times!"

"Nine times, but I'll reduce it a little considering you're still young."

"Five times!"

"Eight times, absolutely no less."

"three times!"

"How can you bargain like that? You little brat! At least learn some math!"

Manba roared, nearly fainting from anger, and reached out to interrupt his subordinate, "It's really impossible to communicate. Don't untie him yet! Wait until his accomplices come. I don't believe that guy is so stupid."

"Then you should untie it first."

A faint voice suddenly came from above my head, "I'm really worried that his accomplices will come over and you'll be pissed off again."

"Who is speaking!"

Manba's face changed drastically. He pulled out his machete and aimed it at the source of the sound - but he saw a black-haired boy squatting in the tree above his head, looking at him strangely.

"The big bandit with a reward of three million baileys, Man Scar?" Xia Nuo shook the wanted poster he had found on Shou Hou's body, comparing the two for a long time. "No matter how you look at it, they look like two different people..."

The man named Man Scar on the wanted poster has sinister eyes and a fat body.

The leader in front of him was only slightly stronger, and his facial features were completely different.

The only similarity is that they both have a long scar on their faces.

"Is this photo of you?"

Shanuo turned the wanted poster over and pointed at the photo on it.

"It's me." Manba nodded. "I was still very fat back then."

"This isn't you!"

Xia Nuo sneered, "I heard of Man Scar's name before I entered the mountains. He did murder, rape, arson, and all sorts of other nasty things. The townspeople are all afraid of this name. If you were really Man Scar, how could this kid still be jumping around and talking nonsense here?"

"Also, these men of yours don't look like bandits at all, do they? Otherwise, three or four of them wouldn't be able to defeat an eight-year-old child."

Shano looked around.

The dozen or so bandits in the camp were all pale and thin, dressed in tattered clothes, and the weapons in their hands were also tattered.

Only two of them carried old flintlock rifles, and most of them just had sharpened sticks.

Man Scar was silent for a while, then murmured softly, "...Has he been discovered?"

"But strangely enough, you still have a subordinate who's quite accurate with the gun."

Xia Nuo threw the skinny monkey, whose mouth was gagged with a rag, down to the side. "If I hadn't dodged quickly, I would have been shot right through the forehead."

"Are you a good shooter?"

Manba was dumbfounded. He looked at the skinny monkey lying on the ground whimpering. He ripped the cloth out of his mouth and asked in confusion, "Ayin, when did you become a sharpshooter?"

"I didn't! I didn't!"

The skinny monkey gasped for breath, and after holding it in for a long time, he finally managed to speak, tears on the verge of flowing down. "I was aiming at the branch under this guy's feet, wanting him to fall to the ground, but who knew, who knew that I was off by just a little bit..."

From the soles of the feet to the center of the eyebrows, is it slightly off?!
I'm almost 1.8 meters tall!
A dark line appeared on Shanuo's forehead.

Manba understood the general idea and quickly looked up to explain:

"Sir, you may have misunderstood. There's no way that guy Yin would shoot you in the head straight away! He's not that kind of person, and his shooting skills are definitely not that accurate!"

"In fact, his shooting skills are terrible. Everyone we know knows it. Otherwise, this guy wouldn't have fallen to the point of following me into the mountains!"

"He used to be a reserve soldier in the Royal City Guard. Two years ago, at the New Year's celebration, he was suddenly called up to fire a salute. The shot was meant to be fired into the sky, but it landed on Her Majesty the Queen in the face... He was subsequently crippled and thrown to an unspecified destination."

How can it survive until now?
Xia Nuo was stunned when he heard this. He glanced at the aggrieved skinny monkey and slapped his forehead speechlessly: "So... you are not actually bandits at all, right? You are all residents from an uncertain terminal?"

He suddenly thought of something, and his expression became a little complicated: "The house was burned down?"

The Kingdom of Goa has always been known as "the most beautiful country in the East China Sea."

In reality, the city only looks bright and beautiful on the surface, but hidden under the high walls, there is a huge incineration waste disposal station.

That is the terminal station of uncertainty.

All the filth, garbage, and hungry people at the bottom of society were concentrated there, and it gradually evolved into a large slum with a horrible environment.

And just at the end of last year, the king of the Goa Kingdom, in order to welcome the inspection of the Celestial Dragons, did not even give this last difficult way to survive.

The terminal and its residents were simply burned to the ground, and the poor were treated as "garbage" and cleared out together.

"Yes, it's gone, all gone."

Man Scar looked dejected, his eyes filled with reminiscence. "Many people were killed and injured that night. I heard that a group of kindhearted people called the Revolutionary Army took in refugees at the docks with a large ship. But there were also some people like us who fled south, forced by the fire to rush into the Korpo Mountains to survive."

"On the outskirts of the mountains, I stumbled upon the burned corpse of Man Scar. So, a few months ago, I simply started impersonating him and moving around in the mountains until now. This at least scares off a lot of bandits and makes them not dare to mess with us."

He sighed deeply, raised his head, smiled bitterly and said:
"Sir, we don't want this to happen either. We're even afraid that if we continue like this, we'll slowly become real bandits. But, what else can we do?"
