The two have similar themes, but "Chronicles of the Witch God" was published in 2015 and should be more mature than "Ode to the Witch".

The waning creativity of veteran authors hasn't created a miracle in this book. For many veteran readers, it lacks a certain sense of freshness, and for younger readers, especially those who enjoy entertainment, the ancient past may be too elusive for them. Innovation is urgently needed!
