Chapter 18: Comments on "Evil Wind Song"
Title: Blood-red "Evil Wind Song": Shocking or evil?
Xuehong is a writer on the list of China's richest online writers and a member of the 9th Plenary Committee of the China Writers Association.
In July 2014, he served as vice president of the Shanghai Online Writers Association.
In February 2017, he was listed among the top 2 gods in the second selection of the king of online literature.
In May 2018, he was ranked among the twelve main gods in the third "Chenggua Online Literature Award" selection.
Creative experience:
In June 2003, Xuehong signed a contract with Qidian and released "Evil Wind Song", "Shenglong Road", "Gods and Demons", "Dragon Fighting in the Starry Sky" and so on.
In July 2006, he switched to 17K and published "Against the Dragon's Way", "Link" and "Song of the Witch".
In April 2009, he returned to the starting point and created "Xiaoxing Ji", "Evil Dragon Road", "Stealing the Sky", "Age of Light", "Blood Song of the Three Realms", "Chronicle of the Witch God", "The Supreme God of All Realms", "Record of Creation of the Heaven" and so on.
And the Rogue Four-part Series: "I Am a Rogue", "Rogue: The Rogue Rises Again", "Flower Sword Record", and "Dragon Fights the Starry Sky".
From the above, we can see that Xuehong has achieved great success and has written many books.
I know this writer more through the writer training classes that occasionally pop up on the Writer's Assistant, and Blood Red must be among them.
He is the president of the Shanghai Online Writers Association, and China Literature Group is located in Shanghai, so the two have a close connection.
This kind of platinum writer who often teaches and answers questions always gives people the feeling that he does not write well and only focuses on teaching, which is a bit off the track.
So, I seldom read his books.
Recently, when I was organizing a series of classic online writers, I remembered Xuehong's "Evil Wind Song". This book was written from May 2005 to June 2006, and it also set off a wave of "evil wind" in the vast ocean of online literature at that time.
Someone said: "The most attractive aspect of "Evil Wind Song" is its exploration and application of ancient mythology. The text does not directly describe the duel between the ancient Taoist Qigong practitioners and the extraterritorial demons. Instead, it uses Li Feng's gradual growth to unearth the secrets of ancient gods and demons that have been forgotten by history, and uses some relics to reconstruct the shocking battle that once took place."
To find out the real situation, please read my poison test report.
"Evil Wind Song", author: Xuehong.
【Introduction】
Who can decide what is right and what is wrong? Good and evil are up to you to judge. The mountain is a mountain, the water is water; the mountain is not a mountain, the water is not water; the mountain is still a mountain, the water is still water;
After seeing through everything, after seeing through the origin, what does it matter what happens to everything?
After seeing through it, what does the so-called right and wrong matter? What does good and evil matter?
Everything I do is just to survive, living according to what I have seen and known...
With such a good level of tongue twisters, it would be a shame if he didn’t go into crosstalk!
【Golden Five Chapters】
Chapter One: Jiangnan is beautiful. Suzhou Prefecture's Chief Constable Gu Cangyue unites several major forces to rob Yan Tao, the "Yanwang Sword," for his sword pills and elixirs. Li Feng, the Golden Dragon Gang's top pickpocket, is ordered by the gang leader to go on a street thiefing spree.
Chapter 2: The Crime. Li Feng and A'long successfully steal the treasure that Yan Tao, now severely injured, was carrying. The elixir's medicinal properties open up his meridians, and the sword pill lacerates his tongue, causing the treasure to be thrown into an abandoned well. Yan Tao is once again stopped by Gu Cangyue.
Chapter Three, Xiao Longzi. Yan Tao's friends arrive to help, bringing with them a host of experts. Forced to surrender the treasure, Yan Tao discovers it's already been stolen. A citywide manhunt for the petty thief, Li Feng, betrayed by his gang, is on the verge of death. Xiao Longzi, a ruthless Taoist priest from the Yiyuan Sect, descends from the sky and forces Li Feng to become his disciple.
Chapter 4, One Yuan, All Things. Upon waking, Li Feng discovered that the Yi Yuan Sect was not only sparsely populated, but the few remaining disciples were also completely devoid of integrity. They were either stealing the saliva of immortal cranes or randomly capturing people as apprentices. Their food, clothing, shelter, and transportation were extremely rudimentary. Fortunately, the gifted sword was quite good. But what was that 287-word cultivation method? Li Feng couldn't read!
Chapter 5: One Yuan and Five Elders. Li Feng, after days of feasting on rare treasures in the mountains, has significantly enhanced his aptitude. However, the only companion in the entire mountain gate is a kitten, which can't speak. Then, a young girl appears. She's the sect leader's only daughter, and according to seniority, she's Li Feng's uncle. Then, the five elders emerge from their retreat, unaccompanied. Upon meeting Li Feng, they shower him with praise, though their sole purpose is to offer him a few casual instructions, hoping to have him return to the mountains to recruit disciples and expand the sect.
【Brief Comment】
"Evil Wind Song" has a great reputation and has established Xuehong's status in the online literature world.
To be honest, this book, Poison Testing, is a bit hard to accept.
I won’t talk about the advantages, let me just say a few words of complaint.
The writing is simple and unadorned. There are no flowery phrases, perhaps to fit the protagonist's rogue identity, but the language is crude and full of profanity. Even in the later stages, the protagonist and all the other important figures and mythical figures who appear in the story are no longer decent!
The world structure is a complex maze. There are numerous Chinese and Western gods, from Zhang Sanfeng, Longhu Mountain, the Tianshi Dao, to overseas independent cultivators, Western bards, and religious believers. All of them are rendered as tame by the aura of the protagonist, the head of the Yiyuan Sect. Even the protagonist, a star god descended to earth, becomes incredibly turbulent upon his return to heaven. Even Erlang Shen's Sky-Howling Dog has been repeatedly threatened.
This book is a thoroughly enjoyable, brainless read. From the moment the protagonist debuts, he resorts to deception and deception, and his unscrupulous master's legacy only further exacerbates his rogue character. Fortunately, the protagonist isn't particularly interested in women.
【At last】
Having written this, I suddenly became interested in Xuehong’s other works. To what extent can the “rogue” culture be carried out?
