【Brief Comment】
There are two reasons why I came up with this book.
One is that the website has a dedicated recommended spot for authors above the rank of "Masters." This is the small speaker in the upper right corner of the homepage. Those who still read books on the website should be able to easily see this recommended spot. The average person isn't eligible for it, and even if they do, it won't necessarily have a significant impact on the promotion. However, if the average person sees a dance scene, they'll still click on it.
Another trigger, of course, was a separate chapter he posted earlier. In Chapter 9, he published a now-deleted, taunting chapter. I saw the original article on a certain WeChat public account, and I discussed it in a previous video. Many people were interested and wanted to ask me for it. I figured it was unnecessary. The gist was, some people said some unpleasant things about his new book, and they were authors with less than impressive track records, authors who had received guidance and promotion from Tiandao. They were the kind of people who didn't know how to repay a favor.
I'm not sure why a single chapter was deleted. Perhaps they felt they had achieved their temporary purpose of venting their anger, and in order to prevent any further negative impact, they deleted it themselves or after being persuaded by the editor.
One possible explanation I could have suggested was that the author might have introduced the new book to their readership, but without proof, I can't see why. I've already read the entire story, and it's not very long. The main plot follows the protagonist, Chen Yan, who, due to an unexpected phone call, returns to his hometown and sees his grandmother, who raised him, for the last time. He learns some secrets and inherits her legacy, including a spiritual practice. From there, he finally escapes poverty and begins a life of renting a luxurious house and cultivating supernatural powers. This also introduces the heroine's storyline, a journey of both searching for relatives and seeking revenge.
The overall style of the story is lighthearted and humorous, the language is relatively simple and down-to-earth, and the spiritual practice setting leans towards the supernatural and feng shui secrets, with the focus on qi reading for the time being. It does fit the category of supernatural powers.
My overall impression of the trial read is quite positive, primarily because I don't dare, and there's no reason, to blindly criticize it, saying it's clichéd or outdated, because the results are still very good. I'd like to emphasize that due to the author's real-life affairs, this book hasn't yet completed the contract signing process, nor has it started regular promotions, thus failing to make it onto the new book charts. Despite this, the number of collections exceeded 10,000 yesterday, demonstrating the considerable popularity of Dancing. Of course, I must complain here: the update cycle for his previous book, "Steady, Don't Wave," was incredibly long, and many people are still holding a wait-and-see attitude towards the new book, fearing it will repeat the same mistakes and require another four-year delay.
All in all, the writing style, setting, and routine of the new book are very mature, and there are still many highlights. It is worth checking out for friends who are short of books.
【to sum up】
